Tell me about it. 😰 That very first teaser where it just slowly zoomed in to the smiling guy in the hospital room is a theater experience I won't soon forget.
For me it’s been the Happy Game. After all, from a comment I saw I believe it was ‘If you only feel happiness, you are not human.’ I think, it’s a bit hard to remember
Fr! It's so easy to have a creepy smile come off as too cheesy or comical, but every smile you could tell had people on set giving proper feedback on how each actor needed to execute it in order to make it genuinely creepy
Exactly because smile 1 was very disappointing and completely wasted the main character and the fact she was a therapist and it was only so the curse could travel to her and then the ending was so damn shit and disappointing, I'm fine with the sad ending and unhappy endings I love "the descent" and it's original ending so much but I really think rose should have beaten the damn curse and healed and moved forward then you could even have her be this new characters therapist

What scares me most about this new film is that, as we learned in the first one, the Smile curse spreads by one person watching an afflicted person kill themselves in front of them. Take into account just how many people around the world watch her performances and imagine what could happen if she kills herself live on stage on national TV in front of millions. The demon could spread tenfold across the planet and there wouldn’t be a thing we could do to stop it.
I freaking hated the true form of the smile demon at the end of the movie but I also wanted to learn more about it. Also in the first movie the demon represents mental illness so maybe in the new one it's gonna be about the almost insane groups of fans
@@Lutherstrode17492 i didn't mean that i don't like the design it's really cool I hated it because it was freaking horrifying like damn that thing was scary

@@ChillGuySammyoh ur talkin bout the first movie, since the second ones end credit music is a fucking banger until it ends then the other song is fuckin eerie as shit
I remember the first trailer i ever saw for Smile. It was just the main character in a session with a woman who was obviously terrified. As the women went on to explain what was chasing her and that is just smiled at her i was getting more interested. What sold me was how the woman looked at the main character and IMMEDIADLY screamed and scrambled away in terror. The teaser ending on her screaming in fear while the main character was confused was what sold me. No music, no jumpscare no cheap tactics. Not even seeing what scared her. Just quiet talking and a terrified reaction to something we weren't shown was enough to get me hooked.
As someone who's never seen smile 1, I can only headcanon that the Joker got ahold of some right wicked voodoo and cast the smile curse upon the globe with those smiles looking like the aftermath of some of Mr. J's finest work
he's apparently credited to be in the movie. we'll see if he either killed to beat it (which wouldn't have been hard considering he is a cop after all) or found another way.
I honestly didn’t think that the first one was going to be as good as it was. I just thought it was gonna be another Truth or Dare. I’m happy that they proved me wrong
The smiles in this look like they work a lot better than the first one. The first one looked almost Snapchat like but the new ones feel just contorted enough to be truly uncanny.
I’m not going to lie, I wish they name the second movie “Smiles”, because with the first movie you have “Smile”, so for the second movie they can call it“Smiles” to imply there will be more smiles in the movie, and if they make a third movie they should call it “Smiling”, it would be a cool naming scheme.
The ending of the 1st one pissed me off because bro was just one of those guys that thought everything could be solved. Can't wait for this one. Edit: Watched it, and fuck this franchise! It's scary but fuck it.
Short idea: Which one of these fathers is winning worst dad of the year Homelander (the boys) Buck Cluck (chicken little) Crimson (helluva boss) Doofenshmirtz’s dad (phineas and ferb)
I'll say this, and this right now. buck cluck allowed the town to pick on his son chicken little, Doofenshmirtz dad disowned him, replaced him with a dog he named "only son", Crimson forced Moxxie to marry his ex even though he's already married to Millie, and homelander is Homelander. For me Doofenshmirtz dad takes the number one spot, buck cluck at second, Crimson at third, and Homelander at fourth.
Got the trailer as an ad. Since I’m weak when it comes to horror, I took my headphones off when watching. Even without the music or sfx, the trailer was pretty creepy. Probably not gonna watch, but I’m sure people will have a such good time watching!
You know what, I need to see the first movie. I love psychological horror movies. You don't need Supernatural powers, demons or killer aliens to make a good horror movie.
Smile was legitimaitly a fresh of breath air for horror when it came out. It was an actual increadibly quality mind fuck psychological horror/body horror thriller with the intelligence to not over explain itself. It was a damn good movie with DAMN good practical effects among a sea of mid at best horror films. I'm glad it's getting a second ride, and I hope it keeps up the quality from the last outing.
I'm not into horror movies UA-cam videos of how to survive them but I accidentally saw this trailer less than an hour ago. It's a really interesting and creative change for how they made the main character, or victim, a famous singer. I praise them for the change. I'm so used to the main character being a normal person. She's straight up decked out like Lady Gaga. I really like how they've made her horrified of her fans and doesn't even know how to comfront them because she inevitably has to. I can't help but think about "Perfect Blue" and how celebrities should already be scared of their fans. The first death was also one of the most ridiculous deaths I've ever seen.
I agree with all of this... except the last part, the kid just standing there smiling, not even reacting like usual, I don't know why but that made me laugh 😂❤
Part 1 with just a bit underwhelming for me, it was two things about the first movie that stood out in my opinion. First one was the gentleman that was in prison, when he got scared that he was speaking with someone who the demon had latched on to, his performance was peak. Second when was them showing what the demon actually looks like at the end, it could have looked better but it was still pretty good.
Honestly I'm excited for this movie too, the original wasted no time kicking into 5th gear, even with its smaller budget, so I'm excited to see what this movie will do with a bigger budget
The one thing that excites me is that if she offs herself on stage or kills someone else. The curse would be transported to millions of people in the stadium. That means fans, stage crew, dancers, security, everyone. That ending would be way more effective than when Truth or Dare did it.
I feel, like these Smile movies are spiritual successors to Blumhouse’s Truth or Dare…..if you remember in that movie, the for anyone that DIDNT tell the truth or do the dare, the T or D demon made people smile before making them commit suicide
I got this confused with truth or dare due to smile element but then when I looked up I saw the smile demon. I was like oh it was this pretty cool movie.
The smiling in this movie is so much better than what they tried to do in Truth or Dare, cause the smiling in that movie felt forced and carroonish, especially since they used CGI to give them the twisted smile, but it just looks like a really bad troll impression that they tried to do. With Smile, the people are actually smiling and it feels real, like how you would actually feel if someone just kept smiling at you, even when you tell them to stop, they'll keep doing it, thus causing you to be more scared.
In Smile 3 I would love it if they made it a famous actress who's working on a sci-fi film. and a co-star is played by Mark Hamill. I don't think I need to say much else.
First one was okay, once you see past them beating you over the head with the whole “drug usages destroys not only your life but your loved ones lives” bit the it just another generic horror movie, will watch the second one as it’s a new trope almost similar to glovers “swarm”.
A sequel was not something I expected. The first one was ok, I guess. I just never thought it'd be good enough to get a sequel. But yeah, their marketing really made the movie.
Yknow what I reallly wanna see, if they have bloopers in the end when they break character Cuse I can imagine smiling too much that you start laughing at it 😂
