After that, the original creator was outed from the Sonic.exe community and the original depiction of Sonic.exe was retconned (the one from the original Creepypasta duology, "The Truth About Sonic.Exe", and the original video game adaptation). Now, I do not know what Xenophane's deal is, but I do know that Xenophane is the real name of the current original Sonic.exe, as X/Lord X was Sonic.exe's original real name and PC Port X already took on that moniker prior to the outting.
Theres a bit of character changing here that I really like. The OG gives the sense that Xenophanes lets his puppets do the dirty work for him and comes in as a scare tactic, returning to the static to let another puppet deal with you. Here it's the inverse. It feels like Xenophanes is more on the offensive, seeming almost a little arrogant and headstrong. He deals with you head on, and uses his past victims to demoralize you as a scare tactic. I could also see it as the spirits of Tails and Co. trying to warn you of xenophane, trying to save you from your death. Luckily, your beats are too bumpin lol. It's really cool to think of different character traits like that, and it's really cool to see. Amazing work!

ive been thinking, during the trio's part, they give you rings. tails, the caring one of the three, gives a TON of rings to protect you. knuckles, the antihero, helps you through, introducing easy-to-dodge shadow notes, and provides some rings, eggman, the villain, is actively enjoying tormenting you, but still offers you rings, and delays sonic's entrance(the staticy part, he's the only one who has that happen twice). sonic exe provides no rings, and shows no mercy. the trio are actively helping boyfriend beat sonic.exe even though they are puppets to him. you might think its a "difficulty" thing, "obviously they will offer more rings at the beginning then the ending right?" but you face xenophane sonic each time after each trio segment, and he NEVER gives rings even after the tails segment, but all three of the trio does. thats my theory.
when you miss a note, if you have rings, you lose a ring instead of hp, so after the tails segment, you're basically unable to lose, that is, if you actually try to win

Love it. Personally, though, I would've had Sonic change phases each turn. For example, "Too Slow" Sonic as Tails, "You Can't Run" Sonic as Knuckles, and leaving Xenophane as Eggman.
I was actually thinking of that too since people have been asking for a Solo Sonic.EXE cover. I'm wondering if I should make each phase sing where Xenophane originally is too after they finish singing Tails, Knuckles, and Eggman's parts though.
This arrangement actually makes a lot of sense, in the previous songs we’ve fought only against Sonic.EXE So having Xeno sing the main parts and having him bring back Tails, Knuckles and Robotnik to sing the other in-between parts is such an amazing idea!
Yeah, the more I think about it, it makes too much sense, just remove some of the references that don’t fit sonic (like knuckles’s theme at his part) and it could have been the replacement

Honestly, I would’ve preferred sonic going first, since it would be more of a surprise when tails appears… although then they’d have to put a 4th sonic phase, which would be weird.
If this were how it really went, people would have been hyped to see the others pop on screen for their sections, after a fakeout thinking that sonic was going to sing by himself again. The downside with this is that it would be less cryptic, not just placing the player straight into new character territory. Buy hey, either way still makes this song sound like an absolute banger!
