- A small town in the middle of Germany, still looking pretty much the same as when the Brothers Grimm played in the streets.

Great Video! I lived two years in Steinau, before the Autobahn was built. Enjoyed many evenings socializing, learning German, and drinking Krombacher at the Ratsschenke (Buß). It's a fabulous town!
Beautiful town! Thanks for the professional grade tour!
Thank you for your videos, especially this one, as it brought back memories of when we visited this villiage, when I five, we were stationed in (W) Germany.
I really enjoyed the video. My parents were from Steinau.
Another great vid! I love these!
Such a soothing video to watch: the buildings look cute and it seems quiet. I like the little ornaments & sculptures, especially the Saumarkt water feature.
Thanks for the travel tip at the end: if I ever go to Frankfurt, it's good to know this can be a day trip.
Very picturesque town.
Here's a quote form The Rough Guide Website "As the setting of countless Grimm Brothers’ fairy tales, the Black Forest happily plays up to its image as a land of cuckoo clocks, cherry gâteaux, outlandish traditional garb, hefty half-timbered farmhouses and hill upon hill of dark evergreen forest". So there's the mixup with the two Kinzigs, I presume
Can it be true that I only counted 8 (eight) people in this video, plus the one on the Motorroller or what it was crossing your camera? -- Seems like a real nice place to relax.
Home Sweet Home
Bad Soden-Salmünster :)
I live just next to Steinau an der Oder but this city is now in Poland and it's called Ścinawa in Polish. A very common name, I see.

There is evan a third river Kinzig and not too far from the Steinauer Kinzig, in the Odenwald.
I would rather combine it with a visit in Fulda which also has a connection t the Brothers Grimm (I think)

the problem with Lohr would be that you would have to cross the Spessart mountains to get there. With a car it will take some time on country roads (while you could just take the Autobahn to Fulda) and by public transport it would take forever.
The Sababurg near Hofgeismar is considered to be Snowwhite's castle.
There are multiple places that claim to be the home of Snowwithe
As I remember from the other video, there were some arguments how historic events helped create the fairy tale.
Video einfach zu schnell !
