- "Spiral" is an ambient rock song mastered by William Orbit for his ninth studio album "Hello Waveforms". It is one of only four songs to be containing vocals. Sugababes were featured as additional vocalists.
One day we will have this on Spotify
Every now and then I search for it
@@andrewmark2783same. Lol
Seriously, the most underrated song, ever.
❤
✨FACTS & I Can Only Find It On UA-cam😑🧚🏽♀️✨💫
Beautiful Track ... would be a nice thing to see and Hear the Original Sugababes do another Song with the very talented William Orbit X
Spotify!! Come on, I need this!
I just listened to this 20 times in a row. Mutya Buena's satin voice is enchanting.
Everything William Orbit touches turns to gold.
Love the current sugababes line up to record and release it
This song and “Time Stood Still” by Madonna are hugely underrated gems by William Orbits. As well has his work with All Saints
[Verse 1: Mutya]
We've bust a red light
And I've got no fight
Moving in a mad rush
No limit, I can't stop
We're into overdrive
Hopelessly into you
'Cause you know how to
Unwrap my feelings 'til I've
Opened up from inside
No reason to be shy
Every reason to be mine
[Pre-Chorus: Keisha & Mutya]
Nothing's really sane but everything's amazing
Slowly taking over me
Baby have you noticed, the sky is rearranging?
I feel it move in me
[Chorus: Kenna]
Oh, the ground beneath us trembles and we fall
So I wonder, will we fall?
'Cause I don't want to be alone
[Refrain: Heidi]
Caught up in a spiral
[Verse 2: Keisha]
Adrenaline rush
The moment we touch
Breaking out a hot sweat
It's as good as it gets
I can't get enough
Fall into a head space
Deep into a new place
Spinning out of control
You should know
I don't want to be safe
Every reason to be mine
[Pre-Chorus: Keisha & Mutya]
Nothing's really sane but everything's amazing
Slowly taking over me
Baby have you noticed, the sky is rearranging?
I feel it move in me
[Chorus: Kenna]
Oh, the ground beneath us trembles and we fall
So I wonder, will we fall?
'Cause I don't want to be alone
[Refrain: Heidi]
Caught up in a spiral
[Middle 8: Mutya]
Yeah, yeah
It feels like I'm shaking up
Took all cool to fight it up
All I am is mesmerised
Can't believe what's happening
Polarised
[Pre-Chorus: Keisha & Mutya]
Nothing's really sane but everything's amazing
Slowly taking over me
Baby have you noticed, the sky is rearranging?
I feel it move in me
Yeah, yeah
[Chorus: Kenna (with ad-libs from Keisha)]
Oh, the ground beneath us trembles and we fall (fall)
So I wonder, will we fall?
'Cause I don't want to be alone
[Refrain: All]
Caught up in a spiral
[Outro: Sugababes (Mutya & Keisha)]
Da da da, da da da, da da da ,da
Spiral
Da da da, da da da, da da da ,da
I'm caught up in a spiral
Da da da, da da da, da da da ,da
I'm caught up in a spiral
Da da da, da da da, da da da ,da
Spiral
Da da da, da da da, da da da, da
Caught up in a spiral
Da da da, da da da, da da da ,da
Thank you!
Thank you!
This song completes my heart a little bit more, every time I hear it. It's stunningly fluent and like something from a dream. I listen to it so often, and it just doesn't age.
Orbit, is the man ❤️✌️
This song was 1st in my playlist when I used to have a bath on staturdays night before hanging out when I was 15. Time flies.
This is an amazing song. I'll never forget it.
this was released in feb 2006 around the time that mutya left the sugababes.
would've been such a great track they could've easily released as a single during the taller in more ways era.
just like joy division which was on of the best track on the album.
sadly when mutya left, the sugababes died.
Love It! Just discovered this song in 2017 - crazy it's from the 90s?! Way ahead of their time....or maybe timeless. Sounds somewhat similar to Tame Impala. Love it
Its from 2005
macias9 still love it in 2020 💯
I'd love to hear Mutya and Keisha sing this live with Siobhan doing the Kenna part.
That would be heavenly.
I remember when I had recently discovered this song, I took a gf, sat her in my car, reclined her seat, told her to close her eyes, cranked this track and to get ready to experience a truly gratifying moment in music...she absolutely loved it!!! 😍😍😍
I found this song by accident, and I'm glad I did
Too bad music doesn't have that 'take you there' feeling anymore
God, I miss the 90s...
This album is from around 2006, actually! - So there's still hope (as long as there are artists like Billy-O, anyway)...
This is love in audio form.
Orbit has had a genius working through him for some time now.
@@howardfreeman4035 for real though….
Captures a feeling/predicament only Mr Orbit can.. Sublime..
2018 and I’m still coming here to listen to this song. I’ve been an avid Sugababes fan for 20+ years - the ‘caught up in a spiral’ is unmistakably Heidi.
When I worked in best buy (oh God why?) years ago this was part of their rotation for a while. Too bad I can't find it on Spotify.
Right I just tried......smh
Yeah.. Hello Waveforms is not on there... Amazing album..
This is the kind of thing that's so beautiful that it makes me want to just implode and live in heaven with this in the background...
Best ambient album i have ever heard
eargasm. i feel addicted to this song...
First feel in love with the Beth Orton remixes. But the layering of vocals mixed in with multiple beats is what makes this tune stand out for me. I always think of (and usually whistle) this song when the weathers changing before or after a storm. Not sure why..just do.
2021 and this is still a banger
I just remembered this song. I love it!
This will always be my song!
The 'caught up in a spiral' bit is unmistakenly Heidi, even with the effect over it. I'd recognise her voice through an earthquake.
She prob caused it !!!! 😂😂😋
@@iamskybound No you didn't!!!🤣
@@zakkabil 🤣
Actually, it's not Heidi. It's Mutya with distortion
It’s Heidi, she does that choking thing with her voice when she changes notes sometimes
it's just such an amazing song really! I can't express how much I fall in love with with it
when the wave becomes a voice and the voice becomes a wave,, i love the dancimg and twining of the two ,, ilove what orbit does to a composition,, its like cooking wiyh confidence,,
TO SPACE & BEYOND!!!!! Thanks for this!!
Such an amazing track!! I fell in love with this when it first came out and it still does not disappoint!!
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!!
Finally bit the bullet and bought this cd….✨✨✨✨
What a beautiful song! Ever since I heard this like 3 years ago, I fell in love with it. This song just moves me............don't know how else to put it, but that. Just an awesome flow & her voice is amazing!
Just Hypnotizing!
UNDERRATED
Damn it, Spotify doesn't have this song 😠
mmmmmm...so nostalgic song
Beautiful...
i've been in love with this song for quite some time
Can clearly hear Heidi's adlibs and her voice with Keisha in the bridge :)
Classic
They needed to do the definite sugarbabes anthology album one day with all the different lines up and singles and b sides different tracks from different albums like the Motown anthologies from Motown artists like Gladys Knight and the pips,Stevie wonder, the temptations, etc but different tracks from different record companies caused problems music copyright an all that
@Ttoby89 No, I think its Mutya at 4.40. I heard that, alhough part of the writing credit had to be credited to 'The Sugababes' contractually, only Mutya contributed to the writing. Someone thought the middle 8 was Heidi, but its Mutya with a phasing effect on her voice. You can tell the way she says 'mesmerised '. Its only what I heard that Heidi was not on it, but it seems to be true. Not her sort of thing ?
Fuck yes. Awesome vocals and the remix and vibe was spectacular
I love mutya & keisha's part. :)
Is this song available on any music platform? Not on Spotify or SoundCloud.. help!
I bought this single on Amazon Music.
no thumbs down...... ohhhh yeaaaaaaaaa
I forgot how good this was!
I bet Madonna wishes this track had made it onto one of her albums it’s so underrated it’s sublime
So underrated that it’s not even on iTunes!
ce refrain magnifique de Kenna
I remember the winter of 2006, and the girl I couldn’t have
Bravo!!!
Are you and yours truly wanting a baby of your own, or perhaps another sibling for your existing child(s), but having troubles conceiving? Give this Spiral proven method a try. It has been cranking out babies since 2006!
i do wanna mention cuz of the kenna part that i wish the girls couldve done work with the neptunes during the 00s
ik theyve said they wanna work with at least pharrell but his [or rather their cuz of chad] stuff now just isnt the same
@ipolson Oh well you probably know best then. I always assumed the 'spiral' at 4:40 and 'caught up in a spiral' after that were Heidi, but the version I had was a lower quality radio rip... not sure any more :/
i cannot find the Hello Waveforms album anywhere other than pandora. can anyone else?
I am easily another 10,000...
Billy O worked wonders with the All Saints just as he did here with The Sugarbabes, on their own they are bland but with the Orbit effect the mundane becomes something special. The result is a beautiful track that the mass of people have missed out on, their loss our gain.
permaveg Sugababes first album was anything but bland...
@Ttoby89 : Really, where ? The 'da da da da da ' bit in the fade out is Mutya. I read a report someone had of the recording session.
Does anyone have this on CDQ?
Yes
@ipolson She has a couple of adlibs near the end.
Hej 😊
addictive... its for my girl:X
Can this be re done with Siobhan ? Replace Heidi please
Why? It's only one line lol
Nice
Anyone remember or have the demo version of this?
No way is this the 90s. Heidi wasnt in the band till at least 2001 2002. Maybe 2004 or 2005 I'd hazard a guess but could just google it lol
@sexysugaboi|: Heidi is not on it
Who is singing at 1.28?
kenna
1:28
Anyone know who’s vocals that is at 1:28?
Kenna Zemedkun.
@@aydonmads thank you. He has a great voice
lol
