Nope, maybe someday. The semi I wanted has a Cummins though... So when I cracked a piston last November, I sent a block and heads to a machine shop and bought oversized injectors and a Hydra tuner. I have nearly $6K in the rebuild so far. Then I found a CoPart wreck with a low mileage (219K) 7.3 AND it came with a 6 speed manual transmission which got me back to work much quicker. That engine runs great, so I put the 7.3 rebuild on hold. I only bought this truck because I have most of the parts to put it together and I can run some heavier loads.
Junkyard tranny??? Don't know if there's standard markings put on used parts.....perhaps the markings are from a junkyard???....I don't know...jus spitballing...lol
This is the first transmission I've seen with writing on it. The one in my daily driver has a rebuild tag on it, but no writing. So people (like me) will buy wrecked trucks at auction and use what they need and sell the rest. The sum of the parts is far greater than the whole! Whatever the case, some idiot was working on this truck as the loose hardware shows. And because the bell housing was loose, there were washers between the bell housing and the starter. And the starter bolts were loose as well...
