This was our first time flying in United Airlines' Polaris Business class! We flew standby from BNA to SFO, and finally 13 hours to ICN (Seoul, South Korea)! //

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. We started this UA-cam channel to share our experiences with friends and family, then decided we really liked vlogging and traveling! So we extended our 1 year trip to now FOUR years :) Now we have a goal of traveling to 100 countries before 2020! We are incredibly thankful to do something we love every day. :)
It’d be really interesting to watch a “what’s in our bags/suitcases” video, and get a better understanding of the amount of clothing and other items you two live off of!

A lot of standby flyers do that😂 went to Morocco from Canada over a week-end because I wanted that business class ride
My mom’s a United flight attendant... sometimes my sister and I plan trips around what business seats are available.
I can't believe you don't get upgraded to business all the time with all the flying you do. You should have had 1k status on United by now, it seems.

I remembered my first time flying business class I couldn't stop smiling because it was the best feeling ever. Also I felt so alive at my final destination.
Mine was so weird. I was called at the gate out of the blue. I legitimately thought I was going to be told I was the unlucky one to be booted off due to overbooking. But no they just said miss you were randomly chosen for an upgrade and we need to change your ticket here. It was so nice. My original seat was a middle seat in one of the last row. Talk about luck!

United really hooked me up when I was flying back from Brussels to NY on their 777. I asked for a upgrade and they looked at the computer and simply said this should be a better seat. hooked me up with business first class!

I've been traveling more recently, and when something unexpected happens that would make me nervous or anxious I think 'what would Kara and Nate do?' and then a get a big smile on my face and realize it will all work out.

Our Daughter worked for an airline several years ago so we got to enjoy the stand by flights. We were able to fly first class to Hawaii and felt so completely spoiled that I said I didn’t ever want to go back to economy!

A seasoned UA-cam vlogger advised TO NOT REMOVE YOUR SHOES until the airplane is at cruising altitude because you may need your shoes in case of emergency (and most probably very chaotic) evacuation. Biz Class!👍
Bro are you telling me if your plane was going down, you would be glad you had your shoes on? 😅😅
As I mentioned, you would be better off with your shoes on in case you had to evacuate a burning plane. The ASIANA Boeing 777 that crashed at SFO several years ago where most of the passengers survived the crash and the burning plane. However, the disaster field was littered with sharp debris. Besides, you might look good with your shoes on when they find your body in the wreckage!
Well I only wear flip flops so doesn't really matter. Tennis shoes are such a pain because then you gotta take them off at security. Then put them back on. And your feet get hot... Much easier to just wear flip flops.

Having someone close that works for an airline is THE greatest BLESSING of ALL times. Thanks to my sis for those standby perks 😍😍😍😍😍 it only get tricky during high season (summer) because most planes are full
I'm sure ye probably already know this but for random security search most of the time it says it on your boarding pass somewhere it'll have 'SSSS' usually on the bottom which stands for secondary security screening selectee so you'll know next time you've been selected! I work in an airport and I never knew about this till I started I love your guys' videos!!
