    Quick advice:
    1) Ask for another sheet if yours dirty, wet, or package is not safe. It's free)
    2) AC start to work when train moves, and you can check if you train have AC, when you buying tickets on the website.
    3) Put your stuff under the bed, there's a empty space.
    4) WC button (red/green) shows if WC is open or someone's there.

I was watching a train review on the train from London to Paris, and I scrolled through the suggested videos and saw Kara and Nate’s video about the trans Siberian railway I was curious so I decided to watch. By the end of it I wanted more. So I watched their entire train journey and fell in love with their personalities. Obviously I had to binge watch from the beginning. Sure 2nd & 3rd classes are cheaper, but the reason I take them is to meet people. 1st class is an isolation chamber. You go to foreign countries to meet the people there, to have a memorable experience. 2nd class is called coupe, it's 4 beds per compartment. The conductor lowers the beds at night & gives clean sheets, blanket, & pillow. There's a big window & a little table, bring your own traditional sausage, dark bread, beer, boiled eggs. During day it's 2 seats facing 2 seats. Fellow travelers are glad to tell you about the region, & give tips about your destination city.

Those stains look like bedbug remains. When they're squashed, they leave behind blood (sometimes red sometimes brown) and it can stain sheets permanently. Make sure you watch out for any bedbugs that got on your stuff (they're hidey! and can really only be killed by squashing or Really high heat, like an industrial dryer), but the sheet could've easily been from another compartment, or even another train if the sheets are washed as often as they should be. Though, that one definitely should've been thrown away. :D Thanks for sharing this part of your journey!

That train ride bring so many memories. As a kid I used to travel from Minsk to Crimea when its still was a part of Ukrain on trains like this one. The second I saw the sink I was like "let's see if they'll figure it out" haha. There usually space for storage under the bad, like you have to lift the top of the bad up. Like a trunk of sorts. Great video guys as always!

Crimea is Ukraine. It's simply occupied by Russian colonizers currently.

The old amenities is what gives ukrainian train rides the charm! Did the train make it to the destination? Yes? Then it’s a success! Lol.

I always bring my own bed sheets and towel. They are soft, large enough and roll up a size of a mango, just never know the cleanest of what your are sleeping on. Wonder did you use the water from the bathroom sink to rinse your mouth? I would bring bottle water to rinse and drink.

guys! you're so lucky. believe me(maybe 50 train travels over Ukraine) 1st class wagon could be much worse, it's rather most recent model(it does not depends on class and poorly affects price - costy 1st class in the same train may be worse than cheaper 2nd class wagon!).
just for you to know, there are also dozen of day-time speed trains called "Intercity" for specific directions. There are chairs only and no private space, but they are 50% faster, have a cafe with hot food and coffee and sometimes there is even free internet through WiFi(it depends). consider that option, if you are still in Ukraine.

That bathroom stuff was made for water economy, because some people just turn on water and proceed brushing their teeth, with such mechanism as in those bathroom it's impossible to waste lot of water

This video is such good representation of married life. 😆 I send my husband to any bathrooms first to figure out things (and to kill the germs😅). Also to figure out showers and taps cause I fail most of the time at that.. also the part where nate says it's not too bad is kinda the same scenario that happens. Well its bad enough for me and I would rather carry my towel. Always keep a hand towel or even a handkerchief (the big one ) in my bagpack. Its way better than what public transportation offers.
