Stu Fuchs is a heart-centered, lifelong musician and teaching artist who has taught & inspired 1000's of people to make music a part of their daily life. “Classically trained, improvisationally freed", his ukulele and guitar workshops empower people of all backgrounds to connect with their inner musician. As a long time practitioner of Buddhist meditation (Thich Nhat Hanh's Plum Village Tradition), Stu is passionate about sharing music as a daily practice for health & well being. His playful, inspiring, and holistic teaching method "Ukulele Zen” make his workshops a not-to-be missed experience. Stu’s workshops playfully encourage students to deepen the mind-body-spirit-instrument connection which allows for enhanced listening, increased creativity and greater ease in music making.
Over a 25 year career, Stu has performed gypsy jazz guitar with symphony orchestras, presented ukulele workshops at festivals worldwide, toured internationally and recorded with renowned sacred chant artist Snatam Kaur on her 2018 Grammy-nominated album “Beloved”. In 2014 he was awarded a prestigious grant from the National Endowment of the Arts for his work offering healing music at cancer hospitals for patients and their families.

Totally enjoy your low key, zen, teaching method. I’ve been playing 2 years and have always used a soft leather pick. Your teaching of using the thumb touching the index finger between the joints was simple to learn. I am even finally catching on to the chucking strum!😉👍🏼👏🏼😀

Stu, Love this little quickie tutorial. So up beat as the nights get darker. Deceptively easy but hard for me to keep time. I will be playing it over and over and each time getting closer to the beat and changing chords on time. The perfect level and speed for someone who does not get it easily but i can immediately have fun and listen to you singing in tune. More please!

Great realy grate
My daughter and I have been trying to leran the uke for some time and this is the first I have found as a useful excercise. One other easy song I learned on my 6 string banjo (tuned a a guitar) was "Oh Suzanna" which is more difficult on the uke. Do you have some easier chords for that. Anyway thanks.
Wonderful! "Oh Suzanna" is another great tune for this...another 3 chord wonder. I was planning on including it in my online course...to be launched in the future. Thanks for watching...Have fun playing with your daughter :-)

Where was this shot? I miss fall colors. Living in Florida the only things that change colors in the fall are the license plates.
Even in central FL? I thought leaves changed there.
@@UkuleleZen Here on the Nature Coast (1hr north of Tampa) it's all live oaks which stay green until March when they go straight to brown and fall en mass over a two week period.
