    i've been making this basic dish for my wife of almost 40 years for a long time. I got some new ideas from this video which is great and pretty common watching this channel, i always pick up some tips.
    Given the (lack of) quality of standard grocery store chicken I always pound the chicken out to break it down. Even if not overcooked we tend to get bad results otherwise,
    great content as always, thanks! I'm learning a lot!

      right, and I've started avoiding the "free-range" birds, a bit tough, but thighs would work well in this dish too, better juice!

      I just said this in its own comment, but season the chicken with some paprika before frying, and try to use some of the sun-dried tomato oil for frying it too. Takes the flavor to a whole other level

  • @WindierCrowd683
    @WindierCrowd683 2 місяці тому +8

    This is pretty much Tuscan chicken, but adding tomato paste and leaving out the spinach. Seasoning the chicken with some paprika goes a long way in this dish, and also using some of the oil from the sun dried tomatoes to increase that flavor as well

      This was very well received, despite having to sub fresh chopped parsley for the basil. Blending the sauce with a stick blender was spot on. Was very tasty served with the orzo "risotto." Next time I'll sub fresh Mexican oregano for the basil. Thanks again.

      Another fun fact, a human can live up to 81 days without food.
      How do I know this???
      In 2022 after having a feeding tube for OVER 26 years they removed it with no explanation or reason.
      They Did NOT close me up but rather let the hole go open.
      I went from August 10, 2022 until November 23, 2022 when I drove 6 hours and 5150'd myself to get them to put it back in.
      I got down to 54 pounds and couldn't even walk on my own accord.

    Marry Me Chicken typically does not have tomato paste or a dark red color. The sauce is typically more of a cream sauce, with the sun dried tomatoes adding shots of tomato flavor without the entire dish tasting of tomato. Either way though, it’s a nice dish.

      A ribbon-wide long pasta. Wider than fettuccini if you can. Rice is the universal starch, but I think that it would suck up the sauce and make it (and your labors) disappear without thinning it with water. Pasta would allow the sauce to remain closer to the state it was made.
