i filmed this like a few days before it was announced that there would be a remaster. no joke. it was crazyyy cool to hear about this!!! :D

Fun fact, this game was shown to Nintendo as a prototype featuring Yoshi instead of Croc , but Nintendo wasn't really sold on the idea so instaead of being an N64 title it came out on PS1 , but the nintendo influence/inspiration can still be observed throught the title

Man what a blast from the past. I remember this game fondly. I’m pretty sure my parents let me order it from a book fair, lol. So I had it on the computer and it was too complicated for me because the only video games I had to play at home were on my Dad’s old NES. So I wasn’t used to “modern” games at all. But I was totally enamored by it’s art and characters! And, as I recall, Croc had a really fun and really silly instruction booklet detailing the ridiculous world building on the in game universe. Thanks for the upload, Cat!

Company that made this game went under some like 2006. However they did announce in the last few weeks that someone is working on a remaster version of the game

Yh Croc!!I remember playing this all the time on the demo disc that came with the ps1 along with armored core 1 and a sword fighting game that I cant remember the name... lol ,such a hard game for me at the time ,games used to be super hard on the ps1.

Holy Crap CROC!! so funny I always grew up remembering a Green Crocodile looking character game I played this was definitely it. I haven't played this game in since I was like 7 I'm 26 now. Never got to finish it because it was "unable to read disk" at some point on my ps2 :( you really make me want to play all these Ps1 games again modern gaming lowkey isn't it anymore. When I bought my PS1 I bought this game for my little sister b/c she wasn't into FF7 or Suikoden. She'd sit on the floor in my room and I'd half watch her as I read X-men comics or my game books. This was the only game she really ever played b/c she got really big into boy bands and the drums soon there after. But this game is a world of nostalgia for me. :-) Cute!

You can actually smash multiple horizontally aligned boxes in a row, because it's still possible to move forward after a stomp. Croc will just grab the ledge of the next one.

i rented this game a long time ago when i was a kid.. i was so sad to return it and said one day ill finish this game croc.. i never did.. its been like 30 years..
good thing they are remastering this game it is coming out soon! fun to relive childhood fun :)
Props for running it on the original resolution. Most people running games on emulators crank up the resolution, apply texture filtering and geometry correction. Nothing against that but I appreciate the original look.

Cracked on the sticks
I had this game on a ps1 demo disc along with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Siphon Filter, Spyro the Dragon, MediEvil, Spider-Man 1, and a few other demo games. I could never get past the first few levels of Croc 😂 I just didn’t have good coordination

Any plans on playing that on this channel? Also, I love Croc games, I remember being in central London back in the late 90's and getting a photo with someone in a big Croc costume for the games release!
