Owner of S500 W221 with issue on ECU cost me 2,200$ to fix replaced with new one. For all people with that issue...my car was running super poorly...from 8 cylinders only 6 were working and not in sync...causes vibration while accelerating - super poor performance...sometimes my car didnt start, but after few IN and out putting key and taking out it works (took 2-3 min for the car to "wake up" and recognize the key go ignite the engine), not gonna mention about the fuel - super bad. If YOU have issue with ECU...FIX it as soon as possible with NEW one that gonna carry your VIN number and the key. It hurts, but if you love your car...you gonna spend 50% of its value to mantain it super nice. And trust me...the car gonna thank you with 100-200k of pure joy. If you drive some sh1tty car - its not worth...like C class or some basic cars with 2 extra cables as "feature" then just scrap the car. But for your expensive babies, please take care.

Hello, after erasing my ecu , it no longer communicate with the launch x431 padvii and also doesn't crank the engine, what do I do ? It's a bosch me9.7
the problem I have is that the Drive authorization system - Start enable. it is not authorized, the ECU is new, new fuse Box, new Starter, grund chassis, I have not changed the SAM yet. everything else works fine. the steering lock works, locks and unlocks. the shift lever can perform the P,R,N,D. Everything's fine. The only problem I am having is 085 Drive authorization system - Start Enable. (NOT) I live in NYC

the first stages of the video were out of FOCUS, you did not explain to DISCONNECT the Battery 1st, before unplugging'reconnecting the ECU, also that music was unnecessary, way TOO LOUD. there are a lot of other work associate with fitting a replacement ECU,as it will have the VIN number from another pre programmed vehicle that will clash with all modules! , and the keys/ immobolizer needed synchronizing 🤔
@@Aali289 send all the details about car, ie; vin number, year of manufacture,auto/ manual gearbox? as most items on many mercedes can be fitted with 'minimum' recoding, you may have to adapt the steering angle sensor, best advice is get the replacement part with exact matching part number as your own car, and disconnect battery before attempting the work, mark up precise position on shaft /steering wheel etc, should work, but do pass me the details if your apprehensive before doing the job, and i'll see if i can shed some light on any possible issues, Take care. 🙂

@@9691ark if you post the ECU number and the Vin number of the car , i shall look up all the steps required, it does not matter if you have the exact same number from an exact same vehicle (donor) it will need to be programmed into your car, as the Vin number and all other parameters are specific to each vehicle, remember the ECU is the Brain of your car, it needs to be set up in a specific way to assess what all the sensors are sending into it, with its own base values for that particular year of manufacture and individual car, before it can send the correct signals to all the relevant actuators, the ABS, Auto transmission, the steering angle sensors, yaw rate, thrust rate, power steering, the A/C etc are all sending signals to the ECU for it configure correct drive-ability and safety. older and newer(even just slightly) ECU's will have different Maps, software, firmware, and Hardware (different pin configurations) the best way is use your old ECU's software and clone over to the replacement ECU, then its just plug and play provided it is the same exact number.there are companies on the internet (E bay too ) that carry out postal cloning service, depending on your location? it can be a straightforward job, send in your old ecu, (mark it 'old original ecu' and also send in the replacement ecu also marking it 'donor replacement' the companies carrying out that service will do the rest, and return both ecu's to you, simply plug in and drive away.
