Pastor, I truly appreciate your teachings but I just don't get it at all. How can you be destined or predestined to do something and do anything but thatl. How can you want to be saved when you were not chosen? I say this with the utmost sincerity and reverence to God's goodness and sovereignty, if what you are saying is true, it's really scary because if I create a fan and it only operates as a fan how can I be angry with the fan for being exactly what I made it to be? Why would God say that He doesn't,t want anyone to perish but made them for that purpose? What am I not getting?

because Calvinism isn't logical. I love Pastor John but his view on Calvinism just ain't it...

God has the Sovereign right to make us however He pleases, God is not angry in heaven with sinners in the sense that He wants to act a certain way but they’re not, God knows the end from the beginning, nothing in time has any effect on His emotions even though the Bible teaches us that God is involved in time and that’s why it always depicts Him having emotions but in the entirety of the scriptures, God cannot be taken by surprise by anything, be it in heaven or on earth.. The verse you cited 2Peter 3:9 is not saying what you think it is saying, Peter said in that verse that the Lord is patient towards us, who are the us? The us there are the elect not the whole world and it is the elect He’s being patient with because He doesn’t want any of them to perish.. That’s how you interpret that verse because Jesus in John 17 said He’s not praying for the world but for those that the Father has given to Him.. Nobody under heaven wants to be saved, Paul said in Romans 3:9-11 that none is good, none righteous and none seeks after God, and in Romans 8 he said that the natural man cannot obey God’s law because he’s hostile to God.. You shouldn’t let the doctrine of predestination scare you my friend, rather, rejoice that you’re chosen to believe in the gospel and be saved .
