This scenario feels like the perfect example of the "Unstoppable Force meets Immoveable Object" argument. I lowkey feel like it would work though because Mahoraga adapts more over time with each hit so they obviously dont adapt instantly. Forcing them to stop might be possible.
The anime is adding so many scenes to most fights, mainly important ones. Yuta showcase will be insane. Especially considering he openly wanted to fight mahoraga AND Agito at the same time fully knowing their abilities.

@@WithoutException rika is techically not a curse. She is yuta's CT. It is the same way with madoka deer and mahoraga. Shikigami are described as curses(so all shikigami should just be tamed curses) but some of them can still output pure positive energy which doesn't make sense since it should be toxic to them.
Mahoraga adapting to Yuta only for Yuta to copy his adaptation ability, only for then later he also adapted to that and basically we got an endless cycle of adaptation 😂

Yuta's arsenal as we've been shown thus far doesn't contain nearly enough fire power as Cleave, Dismantle, Malevolent Shrine and the fire CT Sukuna used
Mahoraga intially only uses reverse CE, but as it fights sukuna it changes to start using CE because sukuna is not a curse. Also the simpler the technique the easier it is for mahoraga to adapt. Dismantle and cleave got adapted so fast because while they are strong they are not as complex as the limitless technique. Yuta's bag is too unknown to know if he would win. Also yuji in my opinion is a very valid witness to 15 finger sukuna's strength since he has all the memories from shibuya. So he should recall 15f sukuna for mahoraga and still thinks yuta is strong enough to handle both. Entrusting yuta to kill him if sukuna took control of his body at 15f and supporting yuta going to fight mahoraga and agito. So in story he should be able to win, but in terms of feats he hasn't shown how he would win.
@@oscar3153 He didn't use them because he didn't understand what mahoraga's ability was. When he uses dismantle and mahoraga parries it, he was literally aiming for the head to decapitate mahoraga(something he never did against jogo when he was actually holding back). He then used his domain expansion and limited the range which we know from his fight with gojo actually makes his slashes stronger. So his slashes were buffed not nerfed but he then figures out mahoraga's ability and realizes he needs to kill it in one go. So far the only attack with enough AP to do that was the fire arrow (gege even says the fire arrow is the most destructive technique sukuna has shown). He couldn't use his original form because he was at 15 fingers, and that is the sukuna that fought mahoraga. He also didn't use any cursed tools because he didn't have them. (I also don't think cursed tools count as his strength since technically anyone can use a cursed tool, someone like gojo who is the leader of his clan will also have access to a bunch of special grade tools from his clan. That doesn't really affect your proficiency as a sorcerer since the next person can as easily use the tool).
Shikigami's are made out of the material used to summon them, and not CE/PE. If she it a 100% for sure a Shikigami, she's most likely made out of Yuta's hair (seems to be his go to when "creating" Shikigami). I don't remember a feat that confirms one or the other, but if you remember the chapter I'm interested since it will end the debate.
@@charnalk5572 shikigami aren't made out of materials used to summon them. The materials are just a medium. Even sukuna says this in his initial fight with megumi. "He uses the shadow as a medium rather than a tailsman", so the shikigami already exists and shadows, hair or a tailsman are just a medium to summon them.
@@wondays654 That's what medium means tho, you're confusing this with how cursed spirit are summoned. A medium "the intervening substance through which sensory impressions are conveyed or physical forces are transmitted.", the shadow is in this regard the exact same as that seance guy. Toji is summoned through his body, but he is still made out of his body and will break eventually because of that. The 10 shadow are made of said shadow aswell, and it's easier to see it in the domain expansion.
I will say if yuta's domain amps his attacks, then I find it more possible for yuta to actually one shot him with a love blast. On the idea that he starts with a domain of course so mahoraga doesn't adapt. That's probably the best win con I can think of at least we see what his other cursed tools and abilities are capable of.

I disagree on the final part. His domain would give him a stat buff, which should apply to his CE blast. I think Yuta's wording even implies that he is going to use his own domain against them. He specifically comments on Sukuna not being able to use his domain before saying he is effective against them.
For the Mahoraga adaptation part I interpreted the adaptation similar to Doomsday where the attack can still hurt him but he can't be killed by it. That explains why he was able to take Malevolent shrine's sure hit without dying & explains why red only damaged him despite Gojo inferring that Red should be able to normally take him out.

Yuta has insane but less-than-Sukuna cursed energy normally, but once he puts on the ring his energy becomes "boundless" for 5 minutes, aka infinite. At that point Rika can't be exorcised by reverse cursed energy anymore, because there isn't an amount capable of matching her. I think that's what Gojo meant when he said she "can't be exorcised," because prior to JJK 0's finale Rika had that infinite energy on all of the time. But since post-JJK 0 Yuta can only have infinite energy for 5 minutes, the question becomes "can Yuta & Rika with infinite energy beat Mahoraga in 5 minutes." At that point Mahoraga will have adapted at least once, Rika will be vulnerable, and Yuta will be back on low energy. But any fight with Mahoraga is already a timed battle, so it isn't a major speed bump or anything.

Ppl seem to think that Yuta showcased all his abilities in his fight with Ryu and Uro. We should note that Gege only showed us abilities of Yuta that we are familiar with so as to surprise us later. He didn't use anything unfamiliar so as not to reveal his techniques just like Kenjaku didn't want to reveal his techniques (whereas only wanting to use cursed spirit manipulation). Also, he didn't use any techniques that would one shot Uro and Ryu cos he needed the points. I honestly think Yuta can take Mahoraga out, he just needs two very destructive techniques and I bet he has some in his arsenal. I also think he must've copied Ryu's cursed energy blast. Now can that blast take out Mahoraga? Well, with what we saw in the trio fight, probably not. However, Ryu seemed to think that it should've taken Uro out in that last attack. I also don't think that his "Love blast" could do it. or at least as it was presented in the fight with Ryu. could Yuta have reduced the attack potency? Probably. There are many things we don't know bout Yuta. We don't know his arsenal of techniques and cursed tools, we don't know if he can copy cursed spirits techniques, if he can copy Mahoraga's adaptation (since Sukuna was able to analyze and replicate the dimension slash so I don't see why Yuta can't copy its adaptation), how many more Shikigamis can he summon (cos he was immediately able to copy and use Dhruv's shikigamis (ppl seem to think that the Dhruv's shikigami was harmless cos it was only cutting Uro forgetting that if it was that harmless, how did they end up in a four way deadlock and that Yuta wasn't trying to kill her) , has Rika become a Shikigami, can she use positive energy (i read the comments and pple were saying she used it in the movie but I don't think she did, it was Yuta that healed Maki and the rest, she just stored them inside her?pause), can she use some of the techniques stored in her, has Yuuta increased the time he can summon her (cos he must've trained with Gojo b4 the fight with Sukuna and he might've pointed something out cos we see that Yuji has something new up his sleeve literally), what's the interval between full manifestation, what can she do for him when not fully summoned and many other things. And more importantly, what are the conditions for copying a technique? Ppl seem to think that it's him having Rika eat an arm or something and that's laughable cos that statement was Ryu first time analysis of seeing Yuta wheras Kenjaku had already stated that Yuta copies techniques unconditionally and I'm pretty sure Kenjaku wouldn't have just stated that outta a whim cos he is very meticulous and i think he would know better. Besides, there are many reasons to think that couldn't be the case. He has Inumaki's technique (unless you're willing to say he had Rika bite off his arm), and he has Dhruv's technique and in the manga (only God knows what they'll add in the anime, Dhruv was cut down with all his limbs and Rika wasn't even present there (maybe behind the scenes). I also must point out that Yuta doesn't need Rika to copy techniques, he only uses her to store them. His own technique is mimicry so i think he can use it without Rika. We don't know how many techniques he has (or can keep) on himself without Rika. I'd say at least 2. Another thing is there's no reason to think he didn't copy Geto's technique during their fight. There wass plenty of opportunity to do so. Moreover, remember he fought in the previous exchange (prior to Geto's fight s1 ep14 @8 min 15sec) event with the current third years against the sister school (Kyoto high) so who's to say he hasn't copied Todo, Mai, Mechamaru (doubtful), Kamo etc and the third year's techniques. We shouldn't playoff the fact that he said he will handle the two shikigami (there was nothing to indicate that he would use his domain, he only talked bout sukuna's domain cos its an open barrier one and he could use it over and over). We should also not undermine Yuji's statements bout him being able to deal with Sukuna at 15 fingers and he encouraging Yuta to join the fight. many seem to think that Yuji didn't know what he was saying the first time forgetting that he had first person pov of Sukuna fighting Megumi's mahoraga and Gojo and he was also watching Gojo v Sukuna fight and still said he should join. He isn't too dumb to know what one can handle. Cos m pretty sure that b4 the fight, Yuji and Yuuta must've probably trained together and maybe seen what he could do. I also don't think Gojo saying Agito is too weak means that it wasnt on their level, it just meant that what it was doing in that fight wasn't adding much against Gojo. I do think Yuta can beat Sukuna's mahoraga, the problem is that Sukuna wouldn't allow that and as you pointed out, no one disputed that he could handle them, he just wanted to take a load off Gojo so he could focus on Sukuna cos Sukuna wasn't directly fighting Gojo but using the Shikigamis. As for the anime fight against mahoraga, mappa went hard. the added a lot. way too much if you ask me. They gave Mahoraga a lot of abilities and made him grow in size? They did a great job but i hope they keep the same level of consistency in the upcoming fights in the subsequent seasons. I just hope the directors and MAPPA are working with Gege to make sure everything is as he imagined and not them adding their own 2 cents. Don't come after me, this is my own take
He can just use the techniques he copied and as Mahoraga is adapting to all of those techniques, he can shoot out the Cursed Energy beam he used on Geto to finish Mahoraga off. Just like how Sukuna used his Fire Arrow while Mahoraga was adapting to take the win.

Also trying to adapt to 3 techniques at once will probably harder for him and take longer giving Yuta enough time to set his attack.(Not to mention since Yuta grew as a sorcerer, he can probably use Rika's cursed technique better decreasing the start-up on the beam.
Mahoraga was not taking Gojo's punches well at all idk what you're talking about. They were fucking it up it vomited as well. It only withstood 1 black flash using the sword of extermination to block it

@@akasakasad6271 Yeah I think Yuta's most powerful attacks would be as strong or stronger than a black-flash amped Gojo punch because that isn't even close to Gojo's strongest attack. Also he punched them in training. Not only were they likely worse at controlling cursed energy (for Yuta this would have been over a year ago at least since he was in Africa) they also probably didn't know Gojo could even do that. Also, forcing them to puke isn't one-tapping them in a real fight. It's training, and Gojo is their teacher not their enemy.

Shikigami are made of CE to your last point in the video. Shikigami are described as "familiar curses conjured and controlled by jujutsu sorcerers". Some of them being able to output positive energy is either an inconsistency or lacks an explanation. So far 3 different shikigami have been able to use positive enery: Round deer, mahoraga and rika.
I don't think shikigamis are made of CE . Because that won't make Ten Shadows very different from curse manipulation . I think they are some sort of hybrid like yuji who also capable of using positive energy. A shikigami is made directly from cursed energy from the user of the technique . A curse is also made from cursed energy but from negative emotions and feelings. That is my theory tho
This fight is really about to what extent Mahoraga can adapt to Yuta's CTs. Every time Mahoraga has shown adaption it was upon contact with a technique as Sukuna explained, so techniques that don't necessarily require contact can continue to damage Mahoraga and those techniques would be, SKYM, CS, and Copy. Because SKYM doesn't attack the opponent directly, Cursed Speech is executed through just pure CE which doesn't give Mahoraga the ability to transmute his own CE, and Copy because domains are constructed through the user's Innate technique and Copy isn't something that Mahoraga can adapt to, even when he's inside which would mean he's basically stuck with an amped Yuta and Rika. Tho we don't know what Yuta's domain is but it's most likely the ability to use his copied CTs simultaneously, either way it doesn't change the fact that there's nothing to adapt to. So the scenario would go in a way where Yuta spams Mahoraga with CTs and damaging him with the help of amped Rika also attacking him and Yuta charging up Rika's blast as the final attack, which would be certainly enough especially when both are amped.
It's going to be insanely hilarious when Yuta eventually one shots all this nonsense and shows his actual full power. Double hilarious if we learn whether Yuta can copy the adaptation. lmao
His portrayal from the gojo vs sukuna fight isn't good (the whole fight he was confused about what they were doing and said it was impossible) and he's been compared multiple times to hakari. Yuta could definitely have a maki style power up but right now it seems like he has been using full power.
The thing with Mahoraga is the adaptation is not immunity but just strong resistance. The more complex the technique, the longer and more spins it takes. Edit-> Also Red would have killed Mahoraga if Sukuna never blocked most of it with Rabbit escape, so it does not need to be a Purple level attack. How can Mahoraga exorcise Rika with positive energy if both are Shikigami and Yuta is not allowed to rct exorcise Mahoraga?
It's gradual adaptation, it's gains resistance at the beginning of the adaptation and immunity once fully adapted, Sukuna killed Mahoraga before Maho fully adapted to Cleave/Dismantle. That's why Maho still got damaged by Sukunas domain expansion but not by Gojos or Yorozus domain. Gojo states it's gradual adaptation and not 0-100 binary and that's shown throughout Mahos different adaptations. Against Sukuna it got resistance to cleave/dismantle and was close to fully adapting. Agains Yorozu it completely adapted to liquid metal and when Yorozu combined the metal with a domain and turned it into a perfect sphere it still got one shot negated by Maho even tho the sphere had and infinitely small surface or whatever that was i forgot. Gojo's infinity and blue got negated completely, even to the point that blues gravity attraction didn't even affect Mahoraga. Since It didn't adapt fully to red (stated by Gojo when he talks about the adaptation not being a binary 0-100 and by Sukuna when saying he will have Maho adapt to red just in case) it only had resistance to it and because it had 0 adaptation for purple it just got one shot. It's shown that maho even goes beyond immunity once fully adapted as it doesn't stop adapting and continues finding other/better ways to counter an ability even coming up with the world cutting slash, an offensive ability against infinity going beyond just immunity and straight into offence/counters.
@@pickle5337 No. the reason it took no damage was because the brains of Shikigami and Curses are different. Gege explained the reason why Mahoraga was fine after the chapter was over, it adapted to destroy Gojo's domain not be immune to the sure-hit completely. Yorozu's domain was destroyed before she even attacked.
The dharma chakra wheel is the one adapting, not necessarily mahoraga. While cursed speech would work, he technically just learns the adaptation and uses it, he doesn’t control the wheel spinning. It’s very likely it doesnt work being as the wheel doesn’t have ears. It can at least be argued
@@sixfromtokyo that includes sukuna turning off his CT willingly for the wheel to turn black. If it was that simple we would’ve seen yuta say, “don’t use your CT” by now but he hasn’t, meaning it likely isn’t possible. This is also just mahoraga vs yuta, no caster included
On Adaptation, I see 2 options. *Least likely:* The turning stops when the phenomena is fully identified. Adaptation continues to get stronger, now with greater acceleration because the ability is understood. *Most likely:* Adaptation doesn't grant immunity, only a flat and finite resistance. (A la Maki/Toji's curse resistance.)
there is a contradiction in your analysis, the new Rika is no longer a cursed spirit, but a shikigami version of the old Rika who left at the end of volume 0 so it would be unafected by the sword of extermination or mahoraga would be affected by positive CE attacks.
this was never stated anywhere? you got the chapter? Because I'm pretty sure she's still a curse. plus even if she was a shikigami, they're made of cursed energy as well, and would get popped by the sword anyway.
Fun fact, Rika was NEVER a cursed spirit. She was a _vengeful_ spirit, which are explicitly stated to be unable to be destroyed in normal circumstances.
Since each Shadow seems to work differently than most Shikigami and seem to have their own CT, and since we don't fully know the conditions for Copy to work; there's a chance for him to be able to copy Adaption.
If Yuta told Mahoraga to "Stop Adapting" it would probably glitch out like the Culling Games did when Kenny tried adding rules. I can't see it holding Maho indefinitely, but Yuta could conceivably give follow up commands that "Give it an out" to keep functioning, but in an impaired fashion. Unless he would need to maintain the command with CE output. Then he'd probably be better off doing nothing.
Wasn't it stated that Mahoraga adapted all 5 times Gojo's domain expanded? The wheel clicking was just meant to foreshadow the fact that Mahoraga was in play way earlier than when Sukuna summoned him
rika has infinite cursed energy , plus she probably can apply to yuta the same effect hakaris domain has on him , which is essenntially immortality yuta can likely just yell into the megphone "die" while using rika and one shot mahoraga
Yuta can def one shot mahoraga with a full manifested rika. If he knows the technique is adaptability then he will know to put everything into one blow, if he doesn’t know then it could be troublesome because mahoraga would adapt to all his techniques if he doesn’t just chose one and use it at full capacity with all of his CE
@@CertainlyCynicalYuta didn’t want to kill Ryu. He needed his points Ryu even stated that if Yuta wanted everyone there dead they would be long beforehand. Plus Yuta on top of putting even more CE into his blast which he was previously holding back on could pop his domain and amp his attack even more. And if that’s not even enough he could always make a binding vow to ensure a W. But I think it’s guaranteed with just a domain.
This was a great video man, and i really hope Six revisits all of these Yuta videos once we get the full limits/range of his abilities, like a "yuta gauntlet supercut" video. Also, I reckon "stop adapting" would probably work, snake eyes and fangs is nerfed only by its users throats, and Yuta has RCT to counteract that.

Inumaki was able to smash Geto, a special grade sorcerer, into the ground with his command. Yuta would absolutely no-diff that same Inumaki if it were a no holds-barred fight. Since adaptation isn't a technique, the comment would be more relatable to "dont move" or something. Doesn't mean that Mahoraga wouldn't eventually adapt to snake eyes and fangs, but it would be incredibly effective in the short term.
do you realize how stupid that sounds, adaptation is a reactive ability, if Mahoraga literally has the ability turned off by Snake eyes, how is he going to adapt while having the ability stopped. that's like saying you can turn a motorized wheel while the motor is turned off because the wheel is supposed to move when prompted.
Question: Do we think Yuta could copy Mahoraga's adaptation if he could have Rika consume a part of it? As I understand it, Yuta's copy ability allows him to copy innate abilities by having Rika ingest a part of someone. Mahoraga's adaptation is an innate ability that presumably revolves around it changing the way its cursed energy works to better combat its opponents. I don't see why Yuta wouldn't be able to do it. If Yuta CAN, then it just becomes a battle of adaptation in which Yuta probably continually adapts his existing abilities to eventually put Mahoraga down. That, or they just keep adapting against each other until the 5 mins are up and Rika has to disappear. If not, for whatever reason, then yeah Mahoraga probably just adapts until it can defeat Yuta.
did you know cursed speech users can just say "unsummon"? yeah. Inumaki does it to one of megumi's divine dogs and doesn't have any pain shown from doing it
Also, a small arguement, Yuta's CT despite lasting only 5 minutes on the clock, I believe it recharges maybe every five minutes after its been drawn out considering the tripple domain clash disabled the technique and assumingly ending it instead of pausing the timer, I believe he can recharge quickly. This is just headcannon
11:37 I’m not sure Cursed speech would be able to take away Mahoraga’s adaptation ability simply because its engrained into his fighting style. Let’s say the command works but how long is it active? Does the command deactivate once Yuta takes damage? There’s a lot of what if scenarios that makes mahoraga’s adaptation unpredictable.

Mahoraga definatky scales to 15F sukkuna and ryu got one shot but 15F sukkuna and maho performed better than ryu against sukkuna and yuta struggled heavily against ryu so I think maho wins due to the overwhelming stats advantage but yuta can win with love canon tho
Mahoraga did not scale to 15f sukuna. Mahoraga just didn’t die immediately against Sukuna there’s a difference. Mahoraga’s biggest strength is the fact that he’s nigh impossible to actually kill without immense fire power. Sukuna sustained 0 damage in that encounter. Also Yuta was willfully trying not to kill the Sendai goons.

Hey so great video, my only thought is that if the shikigami have their own CT that can be copied. Because if adaptation is a CT yuta may be able to copy it and become kind of a god. If it's not a CT and just an ability then I think he's around even.
We haven't seen everything that Yuta is capable of but based on statements and whats implied about him, I would say its fair that he beats the one in Shibuya and AT LEAST stalemates the one in the Gojo fight.
Yuta was fighting neck and neck against Ishigori, who got speed blitzed and one-shot by 15F Sukuna. Mahoraga took multiple slashes from Sukuna, physical attacks, his domain, and then only got finished off by a completely different cursed technique than the one he adapted to. Unless you want to argue that Yuta would be able to give Sukuna that same fight, I cannot see a way Yuta can win
A way I can see yuta win 100% would be his domain. We still don’t know how it works, but considering what we know about domains, we could assume that he can use every technique he’s copied and stored and use them simultaneously and relentlessly. It’d be practically a barrage of attacks like malevolent shrine but with completely different techniques, so it would get shredded down slowly. We don’t know how many he has in total, nor their powers, but if he had even just 2 that can damage mahoraga it would be enough to take it down

let me explain how mahoraga´s adaptation works since no one seems to know. after the gojo vs sukuna fight we see sukuna state that the way sukuna ended up wining is because he used mahoraga like a blueprint, adapting to gojo´s limitless and imitating whatever mahoraga did. after mahoraga first adaptation he changed the essence of his CE to be equal to gojo´s CE thus ignoring infinity, this was something sukuna could not imitate so he waited for the seccond adaptation, in wich mahoraga instead of attacking gojo he attacked the entire space around him to bipass infinity, this was something sukuna could imitate. so thanks to this we know that what the dharma wheel does is learn about the opponent CT and figure out ways to better fight them, then it gives that info to mahoraga. this explains the battle between sukuna and mahoraga in the shibuya incident, since first the sword of extermination was charged with RCT but after seeing that it was useless in sukuna because of sukuna not being a curse, it changed its energy into normal CE for a better match up against sukuna. it also explains why even after having "adapted" to sukuna´s dismantle mahoraga was still taking damage from it since mahoraga had only imitated sukuna´s CE and as we know from the fight between yuta and yuji vs sukuna, he can still take damage from its own CT, thats why mahoraga ended up adapting to slashes in general. so with that said mahoraga´s abilities are: absolute control over its CE. being able to use the CT of his summoner (once tamed by sukuna mahoraga shown to be able to use cleave). control of its body structure, properties and size to a certain degree. now, the abitities of the dharma wheel: progresively gain a better understanding of any phenomena it´s being exposed to. somehow it can inform mahoraga of virtually anything once it spins. it does not seem breakable by conventional means (gojo didn´t target it even though it was clearly exposed during most of the fight). mahoraga´s weaknesses: he cannot change his methods of fighting by himself. he does not seem to be able to be summoned in an unstable mode (sukuna never did it even though it erases the risk of the shikigami dying).

I think there is not enough data to support or refute this claim. Yuta was ready to hop in and stop Mahoraga, fully aware of all its abilities at least from Yuji or Gojo. Also Yuta in Sendai didn't want to reveal any of his cards. It says he didn't want Uro and Ryu to see it but a part of me believes that he didn't want Kenjaku to know what he has stockpiled. The buildup to see Yuta and Hakaris limit isn't as big as the Gojo vs Sukuna buildup but is still present.

3:15, I figured this one out, fam. It's degrees of adaptation per turn. So, each turn results in a portion of the technique it adapts to. The more complex the technique, the more turns it takes to fully adapt. Regardless of how powerful a technique is, the more elements in the attack, the more analysis is needed to fully adapt to it. Once it's fully adapted to, additional turns will result in additional countermeasures against the *user.* So, let's say, for example, that Mahoraga fully adapts to Infinity. Let's assume that it can disable Infinity *and* use Infinity after fully adapting to it. Then the additional turns allow it to develop Dimensional Slash, and another one will allow it to develop a reversal [like how Gojo used reversal to move to any Blue on the field], until it ultimately acquires greater mastery than the user it got the technique from. It goes from defense, to offense, to universal. For why it still took damage from Sukuna, I think it's because it was still early in the adaption cycle. My clue was how little damage it took from the Red that Gojo fired at it in the building. Blue and Red are specialized techniques that are based on Infinity. Because Mahoraga was adapting to Infinity, Red's destructive ability was nerfed due to how much it had adapted to Infinity. So, Infinity was in effect when Red was fired. In Sukuna's case, there was no completed defensive measure in place. It was just regenerating. The trick is to finish it in one blow *after* it takes serious damage from one technique, and that second technique has to be one that it hasn't been struck by. That's how Sukuna defeated and tamed it. Based on those rules, either Mahoraga is regenerating, hidden, or has been dismissed by Sukuna. If Mahoraga has been defeated, then Gojo damaged it off-panel with a unique attack before Purple detonated, and the damage from Purple finished it before it regenerated and adapted. Beating Mahoraga is more about smarts than it is about power. If the technique is lethal, it doesn't matter how powerful the sorcerer is. Said sorcerer just needs to solve the puzzle before running out of unique techniques. If they don't, they're toast. The more Mahoraga adapts to a target, the faster and more fluid its movements are against that target. Think of it as an advanced AI backed by a whole neuro-network and placed inside a body. At first, that android will be clumsy and slow, like a baby learning to walk. But as it continues to gather data and learn, it becomes a lot more responsive to its situation and environment. Mahoraga was adapting to its target and its environment by virtue of how its target uses that environment, so we saw it maneuvering in magnificent ways over time. Here's the thing: Yuta is Mahoraga's weakness by default. Not only is he extremely powerful, he has so many techniques in his library now that he doesn't need to repeat anything to cook Mahoraga in seconds - especially after witnessing a serious fight with it. Sukuna would never reveal the secret, but Yuta naturally fights in a way that would bring the summon to an end in no time flat. He could tell Mahoraga to cut itself, then use a cursed energy blast. Fight over, assuming he's got his head in the game. It ultimately comes down to if you believe Yuta is clever enough. He has the raw ability, but you made a pretty solid argument about his maturity as a sorcerer. He _should_ win, but I'm seeing how he could lose by going into it wrong. It only takes one mistake, and you *did* point to one from a previous battle. Despite winning, that was pretty damning. He can't afford to lose Rika in a fight against Mahoraga, and I can totally see why you're not betting on him getting it right at this point in time. I mean, Rika is *the* secret sauce. If he gives that up, what's going to use? I can't think of a valid counter for that slip up. Until we see him demonstrate the level of mastery I suggested, I have to agree with your conclusion. Yuta win win this mid-high diff The most important thing to understand about Maghora is what makes him so formidable in a fight. The anime blurred the line heavily with this question. In the manga, Maghora was NOT walking through Malevot Shrine, or nearly relative to Sukuna. Let's get that very clear. This is the same thing that happened to Jogo versus Sukuna but to a greater extent. Before any adaptation, Maghora's durability actually scales nowhere. It never successfully tanked any of Sukuna’s attacks. The first dismantle cut through Maghora so badly it hit the wall behind him, and by the time sukuna understood the ability, maghora adapted all the way from not being able to tank a simple dismantle to surviving a malevolent shrine. If sukuna had popped the domain immediately, Maghora would have been annihilated. ( The most important thing to remember is that Sukuna went into this trying to observe Maghora bc he had an interest in Megumi ten ten-shadow technique. Not only does he imply that he isn’t trying, but in order to observe Maghora's works, Maghora needs to be alive. Sukuna was blatantly holding back against maghora. He was just having some fun. And seeing what he can do and what the potential is here.) The Narrator says that why to beat Maghora is to slaughter it with a new type of attack before it can adapt, which is what sukuna did. There are quite a few characters, like Jackpot Hakari for example one-dimensional in their fighting style. He mainly does punches and kicks, meaning he would probably struggle with putting Maghora for good. But Yuta is arguably one the best people to take on Maghora due to his insane versatility. Multiple different types of attacks. For example, Yuta can damage or immobilize Mahorga with curse speech and then attempt to annihilate him with a very strong different type of attack like the love beam stated slightly weaker to Ishigori’s granite blast, which is the highest output within the Cullen game and history as of the Edo period. Geto got absolutely destroyed by it, and the only reason there was anything left for him was because he was able to offset some damage with his own maximum uzumaki. Yuta can use another powerful Attack in his arsenal. The main things that carry Maghora when it comes to discussion regarding him is a lack of knowledge. If Yuta goes into this fight with zero Intel, and he is not as shrewd and analytical as Sukuna is, he will probably lose. But if he went into the fight knowing what he was going up against, he has the tools to defeat Maghora. Second, it takes time for Maghora to adapt to more complex curse technique
Also, you mentioned Rika gets defeated by the positive energy sword, however you forget after shibuya, in a mid or end chapter paage it states that the curent rika is no longer a curse but rather a shikigami with the same body
I think when they say Mahoraga adapts, it means it's either able to resist the damage more, or find a way to break a technique. For example, for cleave and dismantle, he -would have taken the most damage at the first hit and then subsequent hits would deal less and less damage. Whereas for infinity, blue, and red, although they are part of the same technique, the way they deal damage/function is different hence why Mahoraga had to deal with them individually. Moreover, as shown for infinity, he relays the knowledge he learned via adaptation to his user. The user can also use the adaptation or instruct Mahoraga to find another way to overcome the technique.

For a megumi Mahoraga I think a command like explode would kill Mahoraga as long as he didn’t adapted. Even if Yuta takes heavy damage doing it he can just RCT. 20 finger Mahoraga is winning because we don’t know if Yuta has any techniques that can one shot. Maybe curse speech domain gets a win by saying explode or stop adapting. What could be interesting if Yuta can get Mahoraga’s ability.
yuta vs mahoraga is closer than u think because yuta is a direct counter with multiple cursed techniques and tools at his disposal, furthermore we haven’t seen his domain yet. But i still think mahoraga should be narratively stronger as the zenin clan’s trump card and how hard the ten shadows were overhyped

Honestly I think in his domain if we believe that the love beam is a valid way for him to kill maho would get the job done since if his stats normally aren’t the issue him being buffed would only increase his chances of one tapping him. Only thing you didn’t mention which I feel like is huge, is the fact Jacob’s ladder is suppose to negate\ nullify cursed techniques. Meaning hitting mahoraga should in theory delete him.
So my understanding of why Megumi said his technique was to make up for cursed energy output since he was so weak and drained at the time. Since he cant use Mahoraga but only summon him it also wouldnt make sense for him to control its power since the point is hes suppose to be winning to control it even though hes not using it that way at the moment.
“Stop adapting” would only work temporarily, not because mahoraga would adapt to that, but because commands are only temporary. If that were not the case, Yuta could say to anyone “stop moving” and they would die of old age in the same spot.
If yuta unlocked his full potential he would do alot better since he may be able to merge with rika in a way like getting stronger faster and more durable and having a third eye as a evolution of the five minute timer power

Mahoraga intially only uses reverse CE, but as it fights sukuna it changes to start using CE because sukuna is not a curse. Also the simpler the technique the easier it is for mahoraga to adapt. Dismantle and cleave got adapted so fast because while they are strong they are not as complex as the limitless technique. Yuta's bag is too unknown to know if he would win. Also yuji in my opinion is a very valid witness to 15 finger sukuna's strength since he has all the memories from shibuya. So he should recall 15f sukuna for mahoraga and still thinks yuta is strong enough to handle both. Entrusting yuta to kill him if sukuna took control of his body at 15f and supporting yuta going to fight mahoraga and agito. So in story he should be able to win, but in terms of feats he hasn't shown how he would win.

When he uses dismantle and mahoraga parries it, he was literally aiming for the head to decapitate mahoraga(something he never did against jogo when he was actually holding back). He then used his domain expansion and limited the range which we know from his fight with gojo actually makes his slashes stronger. So his slashes were buffed not nerfed but he then figures out mahoraga's ability and realizes he needs to kill it in one go. So far the only attack with enough AP to do that was the fire arrow (gege even says the fire arrow is the most destructive technique sukuna has shown). He couldn't use his original form because he was at 15 fingers, and that is the sukuna that fought mahoraga. He also didn't use any cursed tools because he didn't have them. (I also don't think cursed tools count as his strength since technically anyone can use a cursed tool, someone like gojo who is the leader of his clan will also have access to a bunch of special grade tools from his clan. That doesn't really affect your proficiency as a sorcerer since the next person can as easily use the tool).

Shikigami's are made out of the material used to summon them, and not CE/PE. If she it a 100% for sure a Shikigami, she's most likely made out of Yuta's hair (seems to be his go to when "creating" Shikigami).

"He uses the shadow as a medium rather than a tailsman", so the shikigami already exists and shadows, hair or a tailsman are just a medium to summon them.

Toji is summoned through his body, but he is still made out of his body and will break eventually because of that. The 10 shadow are made of said shadow aswell, and it's easier to see it in the domain expansion.
I will say if yuta's domain amps his attacks, then I find it more possible for yuta to actually one shot him with a love blast. On the idea that he starts with a domain of course so mahoraga doesn't adapt. That's probably the best win con I can think of at least we see what his other cursed tools and abilities are capable of.

For the Mahoraga adaptation part I interpreted the adaptation similar to Doomsday where the attack can still hurt him but he can't be killed by it. That explains why he was able to take Malevolent shrine's sure hit without dying & explains why red only damaged him despite Gojo inferring that Red should be able to normally take him out.

Yuta has insane but less-than-Sukuna cursed energy normally, but once he puts on the ring his energy becomes "boundless" for 5 minutes, aka infinite. At that point Rika can't be exorcised by reverse cursed energy anymore, because there isn't an amount capable of matching her. I think that's what Gojo meant when he said she "can't be exorcised," because prior to JJK 0's finale Rika had that infinite energy on all of the time. But since post-JJK 0 Yuta can only have infinite energy for 5 minutes, the question becomes "can Yuta & Rika with infinite energy beat Mahoraga in 5 minutes." At that point Mahoraga will have adapted at least once, Rika will be vulnerable, and Yuta will be back on low energy. But any fight with Mahoraga is already a timed battle, so it isn't a major speed bump or anything.

Ppl seem to think that Yuta showcased all his abilities in his fight with Ryu and Uro. We should note that Gege only showed us abilities of Yuta that we are familiar with so as to surprise us later. He didn't use anything unfamiliar so as not to reveal his techniques just like Kenjaku didn't want to reveal his techniques (whereas only wanting to use cursed spirit manipulation). Also, he didn't use any techniques that would one shot Uro and Ryu cos he needed the points.
I honestly think Yuta can take Mahoraga out, he just needs two very destructive techniques and I bet he has some in his arsenal.
I also think he must've copied Ryu's cursed energy blast. Now can that blast take out Mahoraga? Well, with what we saw in the trio fight, probably not. However, Ryu seemed to think that it should've taken Uro out in that last attack. I also don't think that his "Love blast" could do it. or at least as it was presented in the fight with Ryu. could Yuta have reduced the attack potency? Probably.
There are many things we don't know bout Yuta. We don't know his arsenal of techniques and cursed tools, we don't know if he can copy cursed spirits techniques, if he can copy Mahoraga's adaptation (since Sukuna was able to analyze and replicate the dimension slash so I don't see why Yuta can't copy its adaptation), how many more Shikigamis can he summon (cos he was immediately able to copy and use Dhruv's shikigamis (ppl seem to think that the Dhruv's shikigami was harmless cos it was only cutting Uro forgetting that if it was that harmless, how did they end up in a four way deadlock and that Yuta wasn't trying to kill her) , has Rika become a Shikigami, can she use positive energy (i read the comments and pple were saying she used it in the movie but I don't think she did, it was Yuta that healed Maki and the rest, she just stored them inside her?pause), can she use some of the techniques stored in her, has Yuuta increased the time he can summon her (cos he must've trained with Gojo b4 the fight with Sukuna and he might've pointed something out cos we see that Yuji has something new up his sleeve literally), what's the interval between full manifestation, what can she do for him when not fully summoned and many other things.
And more importantly, what are the conditions for copying a technique? Ppl seem to think that it's him having Rika eat an arm or something and that's laughable cos that statement was Ryu first time analysis of seeing Yuta wheras Kenjaku had already stated that Yuta copies techniques unconditionally and I'm pretty sure Kenjaku wouldn't have just stated that outta a whim cos he is very meticulous and i think he would know better. Besides, there are many reasons to think that couldn't be the case. He has Inumaki's technique (unless you're willing to say he had Rika bite off his arm), and he has Dhruv's technique and in the manga (only God knows what they'll add in the anime, Dhruv was cut down with all his limbs and Rika wasn't even present there (maybe behind the scenes).
I also must point out that Yuta doesn't need Rika to copy techniques, he only uses her to store them. His own technique is mimicry so i think he can use it without Rika. We don't know how many techniques he has (or can keep) on himself without Rika. I'd say at least 2.
Another thing is there's no reason to think he didn't copy Geto's technique during their fight. There wass plenty of opportunity to do so.
Moreover, remember he fought in the previous exchange (prior to Geto's fight s1 ep14 @8 min 15sec) event with the current third years against the sister school (Kyoto high) so who's to say he hasn't copied Todo, Mai, Mechamaru (doubtful), Kamo etc and the third year's techniques.
We shouldn't playoff the fact that he said he will handle the two shikigami (there was nothing to indicate that he would use his domain, he only talked bout sukuna's domain cos its an open barrier one and he could use it over and over).
We should also not undermine Yuji's statements bout him being able to deal with Sukuna at 15 fingers and he encouraging Yuta to join the fight. many seem to think that Yuji didn't know what he was saying the first time forgetting that he had first person pov of Sukuna fighting Megumi's mahoraga and Gojo and he was also watching Gojo v Sukuna fight and still said he should join. He isn't too dumb to know what one can handle. Cos m pretty sure that b4 the fight, Yuji and Yuuta must've probably trained together and maybe seen what he could do.
I also don't think Gojo saying Agito is too weak means that it wasnt on their level, it just meant that what it was doing in that fight wasn't adding much against Gojo.
I do think Yuta can beat Sukuna's mahoraga, the problem is that Sukuna wouldn't allow that and as you pointed out, no one disputed that he could handle them, he just wanted to take a load off Gojo so he could focus on Sukuna cos Sukuna wasn't directly fighting Gojo but using the Shikigamis.
As for the anime fight against mahoraga, mappa went hard. the added a lot. way too much if you ask me. They gave Mahoraga a lot of abilities and made him grow in size? They did a great job but i hope they keep the same level of consistency in the upcoming fights in the subsequent seasons.
I just hope the directors and MAPPA are working with Gege to make sure everything is as he imagined and not them adding their own 2 cents.

Also, forcing them to puke isn't one-tapping them in a real fight. It's training, and Gojo is their teacher not their enemy.

Shikigami are made of CE to your last point in the video. Shikigami are described as "familiar curses conjured and controlled by jujutsu sorcerers". Some of them being able to output positive energy is either an inconsistency or lacks an explanation. So far 3 different shikigami have been able to use positive enery: Round deer, mahoraga and rika.
I don't think shikigamis are made of CE . Because that won't make Ten Shadows very different from curse manipulation .
I think they are some sort of hybrid like yuji who also capable of using positive energy. A shikigami is made directly from cursed energy from the user of the technique . A curse is also made from cursed energy but from negative emotions and feelings. That is my theory tho

This fight is really about to what extent Mahoraga can adapt to Yuta's CTs. Every time Mahoraga has shown adaption it was upon contact with a technique as Sukuna explained, so techniques that don't necessarily require contact can continue to damage Mahoraga and those techniques would be, SKYM, CS, and Copy. Because SKYM doesn't attack the opponent directly, Cursed Speech is executed through just pure CE which doesn't give Mahoraga the ability to transmute his own CE, and Copy because domains are constructed through the user's Innate technique and Copy isn't something that Mahoraga can adapt to, even when he's inside which would mean he's basically stuck with an amped Yuta and Rika. Tho we don't know what Yuta's domain is but it's most likely the ability to use his copied CTs simultaneously, either way it doesn't change the fact that there's nothing to adapt to.
So the scenario would go in a way where Yuta spams Mahoraga with CTs and damaging him with the help of amped Rika also attacking him and Yuta charging up Rika's blast as the final attack, which would be certainly enough especially when both are amped.
It's going to be insanely hilarious when Yuta eventually one shots all this nonsense and shows his actual full power. Double hilarious if we learn whether Yuta can copy the adaptation. lmao

The thing with Mahoraga is the adaptation is not immunity but just strong resistance. The more complex the technique, the longer and more spins it takes.
Edit-> Also Red would have killed Mahoraga if Sukuna never blocked most of it with Rabbit escape, so it does not need to be a Purple level attack.
How can Mahoraga exorcise Rika with positive energy if both are Shikigami and Yuta is not allowed to rct exorcise Mahoraga?
It's gradual adaptation, it's gains resistance at the beginning of the adaptation and immunity once fully adapted, Sukuna killed Mahoraga before Maho fully adapted to Cleave/Dismantle.
That's why Maho still got damaged by Sukunas domain expansion but not by Gojos or Yorozus domain.
Gojo states it's gradual adaptation and not 0-100 binary and that's shown throughout Mahos different adaptations.
Against Sukuna it got resistance to cleave/dismantle and was close to fully adapting.
Agains Yorozu it completely adapted to liquid metal and when Yorozu combined the metal with a domain and turned it into a perfect sphere it still got one shot negated by Maho even tho the sphere had and infinitely small surface or whatever that was i forgot.
Gojo's infinity and blue got negated completely, even to the point that blues gravity attraction didn't even affect Mahoraga.
Since It didn't adapt fully to red (stated by Gojo when he talks about the adaptation not being a binary 0-100 and by Sukuna when saying he will have Maho adapt to red just in case) it only had resistance to it and because it had 0 adaptation for purple it just got one shot.
It's shown that maho even goes beyond immunity once fully adapted as it doesn't stop adapting and continues finding other/better ways to counter an ability even coming up with the world cutting slash, an offensive ability against infinity going beyond just immunity and straight into offence/counters.

The dharma chakra wheel is the one adapting, not necessarily mahoraga. While cursed speech would work, he technically just learns the adaptation and uses it, he doesn’t control the wheel spinning. It’s very likely it doesnt work being as the wheel doesn’t have ears. It can at least be argued

there is a contradiction in your analysis, the new Rika is no longer a cursed spirit, but a shikigami version of the old Rika who left at the end of volume 0 so it would be unafected by the sword of extermination or mahoraga would be affected by positive CE attacks.

If Yuta told Mahoraga to "Stop Adapting" it would probably glitch out like the Culling Games did when Kenny tried adding rules. I can't see it holding Maho indefinitely, but Yuta could conceivably give follow up commands that "Give it an out" to keep functioning, but in an impaired fashion.
Unless he would need to maintain the command with CE output. Then he'd probably be better off doing nothing.

Inumaki was able to smash Geto, a special grade sorcerer, into the ground with his command. Yuta would absolutely no-diff that same Inumaki if it were a no holds-barred fight. Since adaptation isn't a technique, the comment would be more relatable to "dont move" or something. Doesn't mean that Mahoraga wouldn't eventually adapt to snake eyes and fangs, but it would be incredibly effective in the short term.

Question: Do we think Yuta could copy Mahoraga's adaptation if he could have Rika consume a part of it? As I understand it, Yuta's copy ability allows him to copy innate abilities by having Rika ingest a part of someone. Mahoraga's adaptation is an innate ability that presumably revolves around it changing the way its cursed energy works to better combat its opponents. I don't see why Yuta wouldn't be able to do it.
If Yuta CAN, then it just becomes a battle of adaptation in which Yuta probably continually adapts his existing abilities to eventually put Mahoraga down. That, or they just keep adapting against each other until the 5 mins are up and Rika has to disappear.
If not, for whatever reason, then yeah Mahoraga probably just adapts until it can defeat Yuta.

Also, a small arguement, Yuta's CT despite lasting only 5 minutes on the clock, I believe it recharges maybe every five minutes after its been drawn out considering the tripple domain clash disabled the technique and assumingly ending it instead of pausing the timer, I believe he can recharge quickly. Hey so great video, my only thought is that if the shikigami have their own CT that can be copied. Because if adaptation is a CT yuta may be able to copy it and become kind of a god. If it's not a CT and just an ability then I think he's around even.

We haven't seen everything that Yuta is capable of but based on statements and whats implied about him, I would say its fair that he beats the one in Shibuya and AT LEAST stalemates the one in the Gojo fight.
Yuta was fighting neck and neck against Ishigori, who got speed blitzed and one-shot by 15F Sukuna. Mahoraga took multiple slashes from Sukuna, physical attacks, his domain, and then only got finished off by a completely different cursed technique than the one he adapted to. Unless you want to argue that Yuta would be able to give Sukuna that same fight, I cannot see a way Yuta can win
A way I can see yuta win 100% would be his domain. We still don’t know how it works, but considering what we know about domains, we could assume that he can use every technique he’s copied and stored and use them simultaneously and relentlessly. It’d be practically a barrage of attacks like malevolent shrine but with completely different techniques, so it would get shredded down slowly. We don’t know how many he has in total, nor their powers, but if he had even just 2 that can damage mahoraga it would be enough to take it down

let me explain how mahoraga´s adaptation works since no one seems to know. after the gojo vs sukuna fight we see sukuna state that the way sukuna ended up wining is because he used mahoraga like a blueprint, adapting to gojo´s limitless and imitating whatever mahoraga did. after mahoraga first adaptation he changed the essence of his CE to be equal to gojo´s CE thus ignoring infinity, this was something sukuna could not imitate so he waited for the seccond adaptation, in wich mahoraga instead of attacking gojo he attacked the entire space around him to bipass infinity, this was something sukuna could imitate.
so thanks to this we know that what the dharma wheel does is learn about the opponent CT and figure out ways to better fight them, then it gives that info to mahoraga.
this explains the battle between sukuna and mahoraga in the shibuya incident, since first the sword of extermination was charged with RCT but after seeing that it was useless in sukuna because of sukuna not being a curse, it changed its energy into normal CE for a better match up against sukuna.
it also explains why even after having "adapted" to sukuna´s dismantle mahoraga was still taking damage from it since mahoraga had only imitated sukuna´s CE and as we know from the fight between yuta and yuji vs sukuna, he can still take damage from its own CT, thats why mahoraga ended up adapting to slashes in general.
so with that said mahoraga´s abilities are:
absolute control over its CE.
being able to use the CT of his summoner (once tamed by sukuna mahoraga shown to be able to use cleave).
control of its body structure, properties and size to a certain degree.
now, the abitities of the dharma wheel:
progresively gain a better understanding of any phenomena it´s being exposed to.
somehow it can inform mahoraga of virtually anything once it spins.
it does not seem breakable by conventional means (gojo didn´t target it even though it was clearly exposed during most of the fight).
mahoraga´s weaknesses:
he cannot change his methods of fighting by himself.
he does not seem to be able to be summoned in an unstable mode (sukuna never did it even though it erases the risk of the shikigami dying).

I think there is not enough data to support or refute this claim. Yuta was ready to hop in and stop Mahoraga, fully aware of all its abilities at least from Yuji or Gojo. Also Yuta in Sendai didn't want to reveal any of his cards. It says he didn't want Uro and Ryu to see it but a part of me believes that he didn't want Kenjaku to know what he has stockpiled. The buildup to see Yuta and Hakaris limit isn't as big as the Gojo vs Sukuna buildup but is still present.

3:15, I figured this one out, fam. It's degrees of adaptation per turn. So, each turn results in a portion of the technique it adapts to. The more complex the technique, the more turns it takes to fully adapt. Regardless of how powerful a technique is, the more elements in the attack, the more analysis is needed to fully adapt to it. Once it's fully adapted to, additional turns will result in additional countermeasures against the *user.* So, let's say, for example, that Mahoraga fully adapts to Infinity. Let's assume that it can disable Infinity *and* use Infinity after fully adapting to it. Then the additional turns allow it to develop Dimensional Slash, and another one will allow it to develop a reversal [like how Gojo used reversal to move to any Blue on the field], until it ultimately acquires greater mastery than the user it got the technique from. It goes from defense, to offense, to universal.
For why it still took damage from Sukuna, I think it's because it was still early in the adaption cycle. My clue was how little damage it took from the Red that Gojo fired at it in the building. Blue and Red are specialized techniques that are based on Infinity. Because Mahoraga was adapting to Infinity, Red's destructive ability was nerfed due to how much it had adapted to Infinity. So, Infinity was in effect when Red was fired. In Sukuna's case, there was no completed defensive measure in place. It was just regenerating. The trick is to finish it in one blow *after* it takes serious damage from one technique, and that second technique has to be one that it hasn't been struck by. That's how Sukuna defeated and tamed it. Based on those rules, either Mahoraga is regenerating, hidden, or has been dismissed by Sukuna. If Mahoraga has been defeated, then Gojo damaged it off-panel with a unique attack before Purple detonated, and the damage from Purple finished it before it regenerated and adapted.
Beating Mahoraga is more about smarts than it is about power. If the technique is lethal, it doesn't matter how powerful the sorcerer is. Said sorcerer just needs to solve the puzzle before running out of unique techniques. If they don't, they're toast.
The more Mahoraga adapts to a target, the faster and more fluid its movements are against that target. Think of it as an advanced AI backed by a whole neuro-network and placed inside a body. At first, that android will be clumsy and slow, like a baby learning to walk. But as it continues to gather data and learn, it becomes a lot more responsive to its situation and environment. Mahoraga was adapting to its target and its environment by virtue of how its target uses that environment, so we saw it maneuvering in magnificent ways over time. Here's the thing: Yuta is Mahoraga's weakness by default. Not only is he extremely powerful, he has so many techniques in his library now that he doesn't need to repeat anything to cook Mahoraga in seconds - especially after witnessing a serious fight with it. Sukuna would never reveal the secret, but Yuta naturally fights in a way that would bring the summon to an end in no time flat. He could tell Mahoraga to cut itself, then use a cursed energy blast. Fight over, assuming he's got his head in the game.
It ultimately comes down to if you believe Yuta is clever enough. He has the raw ability, but you made a pretty solid argument about his maturity as a sorcerer. He _should_ win, but I'm seeing how he could lose by going into it wrong. It only takes one mistake, and you *did* point to one from a previous battle. Despite winning, that was pretty damning. He can't afford to lose Rika in a fight against Mahoraga, and I can totally see why you're not betting on him getting it right at this point in time. I mean, Rika is *the* secret sauce. If he gives that up, what's going to use? I can't think of a valid counter for that slip up. Until we see him demonstrate the level of mastery I suggested, I have to agree with your conclusion. Should and will are two different things. He _should_ win, but that doesn't mean he _will_ win.

The most important thing to understand about Maghora is what makes him so formidable in a fight. The anime blurred the line heavily with this question. In the manga, Maghora was NOT walking through Malevot Shrine, or nearly relative to Sukuna. Let's get that very clear. This is the same thing that happened to Jogo versus Sukuna but to a greater extent. Before any adaptation, Maghora's durability actually scales nowhere. It never successfully tanked any of Sukuna’s attacks. The first dismantle cut through Maghora so badly it hit the wall behind him, and by the time sukuna understood the ability, maghora adapted all the way from not being able to tank a simple dismantle to surviving a malevolent shrine. If sukuna had popped the domain immediately, Maghora would have been annihilated. ( The most important thing to remember is that Sukuna went into this trying to observe Maghora bc he had an interest in Megumi ten ten-shadow technique. Not only does he imply that he isn’t trying, but in order to observe Maghora's works, Maghora needs to be alive. Sukuna was blatantly holding back against maghora. He was just having some fun. And seeing what he can do and what the potential is here.)
The Narrator says that why to beat Maghora is to slaughter it with a new type of attack before it can adapt, which is what sukuna did. There are quite a few characters, like Jackpot Hakari for example one-dimensional in their fighting style. He mainly does punches and kicks, meaning he would probably struggle with putting Maghora for good. But Yuta is arguably one the best people to take on Maghora due to his insane versatility. Multiple different types of attacks. For example, Yuta can damage or immobilize Mahorga with curse speech and then attempt to annihilate him with a very strong different type of attack like the love beam stated slightly weaker to Ishigori’s granite blast, which is the highest output within the Cullen game and history as of the Edo period. Geto got absolutely destroyed by it, and the only reason there was anything left for him was because he was able to offset some damage with his own maximum uzumaki. Yuta can use another powerful Attack in his arsenal.
The main things that carry Maghora when it comes to discussion regarding him is a lack of knowledge. If Yuta goes into this fight with zero Intel, and he is not as shrewd and analytical as Sukuna is, he will probably lose. But if he went into the fight knowing what he was going up against, he has the tools to defeat Maghora.

I think when they say Mahoraga adapts, it means it's either able to resist the damage more, or find a way to break a technique. For example, for cleave and dismantle, he -would have taken the most damage at the first hit and then subsequent hits would deal less and less damage.
Whereas for infinity, blue, and red, although they are part of the same technique, the way they deal damage/function is different hence why Mahoraga had to deal with them individually. Moreover, as shown for infinity, he relays the knowledge he learned via adaptation to his user. The user can also use the adaptation or instruct Mahoraga to find another way to overcome the technique.
By the time Yuta understands how Mahoraga works, he will not have anything in his arsenal to defeat Mahoraga in one shot.

So my understanding of why Megumi said his technique was to make up for cursed energy output since he was so weak and drained at the time. Since he cant use Mahoraga but only summon him it also wouldnt make sense for him to control its power since the point is hes suppose to be winning to control it even though hes not using it that way at the moment.

“Stop adapting” would only work temporarily, not because mahoraga would adapt to that, but because commands are only temporary. If that were not the case, Yuta could say to anyone “stop moving” and they would die of old age in the same spot.
