  • Once again, I find myself back on Keio Railways in Tokyo, only this time I’m now on the Keio Line proper. This line is way busier than the short Keio Inokashira line, especially at the time I was at the station. Rush hour was still going on, which meant very frequent trains! While most commuters were still heading into the city, I stayed on the much quieter platform that had trains towards the suburbs. You also may notice a few grade crossings. This line is infamous for the large amount of them (which is great for me!) But this also means these crossings can be lowered for quite some time. Keio is in the early stages of elevating their eastern portion of their main line as part of a grade crossing elimination project, which means alot of crossings will be removed. The project is still in its early stages so the crossings wont be removed for a while.

Amazing catches in Japan! The one time performance on the trains is just insane.

Thank you! And yeah! They are way more punctual than trains in the states, and way more frequent too.
