lols-
skipper- come on, its only a 3 hour tour.
gilligan: its never a 3 hour tour!!!
skipper- come on little buddyyy!
This defined the late 80's and how great that and the beginning of the 90's were. Best time ever. I will fight anyone who disagrees.
Some things live forever. Still love this movie in 2022.
This movie appeals to boomers and gen Xers. Boomers grew up watching the original surf movies along with Gilligan's Island and Leave it to Beaver, and gen Xers grew up watching Gilligan's Island and Leave it to Beaver in syndication over and over on TBS. Throw in Aunt Becky from Full House, Pee Wee Herman, Fishbone and this movie is meta nostalgic.
Hit that nail right on the head
@@houseoftherisingsun1358 right. Except, like he said, its appeal is to boomers and gen xers. Any generations since then probably won't care for it so much. I like it though, I'm an xer, I grew up in the 80s
Gen x here! I saw this at age 11 & never forgot it!
@@alvexok5523 It's all good fun. Future generations will appreciate it.
That is right
This movie brings back memories of just being a kid no other responsibilities just being a kid that's it.
Yep me too!
Yep me too
Tell me about it! Now you understand when your mom used to say take your time and live your life and don't rush to grow up too fast. Life was magical before we knew about working long hours at sucky jobs, saving, credit scores, mortgages, car notes, assets, equity, and bills bills bills. Ahhhhh, to be young and carefree once again....
I wanna go back! Does anyone know where I can find a TARDIS?! 😩
I remember having the chicken pox and being out of school for about 2 weeks watching this movie. #memories 👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
It was on HBO all the time. I think I watched this movie like 20 times when I was a kid.
RIP Joe Holland (Zed). He died at age 32
It's so good when everybody's having a good time
...1987.. love all 80's movies.. i need to own this dvd.. RIP Annette
Actually BLU-RAY is way cool for the 80s movies!
Yes!
So sad that it was on this movie set that Annette realized she was having balance issues - RIP dear Annette we all loved you and we still do ~
Longtime fan of Annette, Frankie and the Beach movies. This film was a nice tribute to them. I had the pleasure of seeing Annette in person when I worked on the Sally show, but it was heartbreaking because she was already confined to a wheelchair due to the progression of her MS.
I am glad she had good friends around her and a devoted husband.
The ending to this movie always makes me tear up. I love Frankie and Annette and I'm glad they got to make one more beach movie together. I loved this movie so much growing up it's definitely a favorite!
Mee too!
Me too!❤️
Her saying are we the corniest couple or what yes they were but that’s why we loved them
... And again and again lol Best 80's movie ever!!!
I wish this wonderful 1987 movie was on BLU-RAY right now with bonus features from the SHOUT! FACTORY and under exclusive license from Paramount Home Entertainment.
This was one of my favorite
Same
"Are we the corniest couple you ever seen or what?"
YES! And I love it!
I used to watch this every weekend at my dad's house when I was little. Great movie!
This is one of the best movies ever made. Makes me miss my older sister. We would stop whatever we were doing to watch this movie. All kids should see this movie. RIP Melissa Nicole Collins "Jamaica Ska"!!!
awwwww that's sweet. Sorry for your loss. Did u know to Jamaica ska.: )
Kristen Collins MANNN them GOOD ol memories!!!! i miss the 80s!
Kristen Collins rip to your love one
Annette has always and still is a beautiful woman Frankie you should had got together with her. Paul Anka crazy for not marrying her
Kristen Collins this is a great movie and what a memory for u I used to watch this with my uncles a better time for sure
I wish this song had been included on the soundtrack. If it had been I would have bought the CD for this one song alone!
Me too. I wish it was on iTunes
I contacted one of the writers, the director of the movie, and the actor who portrays the son and not one of them have a clue who would have the original track (without the dialogue played over it). I had the feeling I care more about this song than any of them! It's one of my favorite songs and it's one of my favorite movies. And it's a still a dream of mine to someday, somehow, get a 'clean' cut of this song. It's obvious that it was recorded professionally. Maybe Frankie Avalon could help? Anyway, it's time for a reissue of the soundtrack. I think they ought to release the definitive 'Beach Parties' CD collection with bonus tracks for each film.
I actually just looked on pandora hoping it would be there. Unfortunately it isn’t lol
What a wonderful feel good movie. Frankie and Annette at their best with a great supporting cast. So glad I have this movie on DVD to enjoy over and over again,
Reading through all these comments and can't believe no one mentioned "The HumungaKawabunga from Down Unda" lol
Because It's Dinner and then the surf story. :)
I grew up with this movie and just watched it again recently. I remember watching it on vhs on my way to King's Island when i was maybe 12 years old. Now 41 i still love this film
Same! I also noticed some jokes that went over my head at such a young age 😂
Just thought about this song I had to look it up "again again"
What's interesting about this film is not only do we have in an unbilled cameo a future killer, but a future scammer who did go to jail.
Please tell me the killer isn't the sexy guy in black with the rinestone jacket?!
The future "accused" killer is O.J.
Leather-jacketed Zed was played by gorgeous & talented Joe Holland. He grew up as Johnny Carson's step-son. Tragically like tens of thousands of other young gay men, Joe succumbed to AIDS, in 1994.
@@pbboy7286 Wow. Didn't know that. He's still a incredibly sexy man. Kind of like George Michael. Their being gay doesn't mean a thing except it's tragic results.
Who had more chemistry then frankie and annette? No one
Connie Stevens was gorgeous!
Such a silly but fun little film! I got to work with Annette, shortly after she did this movie. Sadly, it was just as her health problems were beginning to show. She was also my cousin's Godmother, and I was at my Aunt and Uncle's house way back in the early 60s when she and the Mousketeers were there!
One of the most feel-good songs in any 80's movie.
Facts! I cannot think of a better one!
I heard on my favorite podcast about Annette's death. While they were trying to remember the name of this movie, I was yelling out (even if they couldn't hear me) "BACK TO THE BEACH!!" A childhood favorite for me. RIP Annette, you were a lovely person.
My grandmother would take us every Saturday to the movies as a gift 🎁 this song brings back memories to the point im in goosebumps
RIP annette....
So sad shes gone....
long live all her movies and her songs...
Love back to the beach.... xxx
To quote Annette in one of my favorite if not the favorite songs that she sung back in the 60s“ A Girl Needs a Boy to love as of a couple of days ago I had that song on my iPhone and others from both Frankie Avalon and Annette, Mr. Avalon if you happen to read this from a young boy of the age of three through the 60s thank you for everything that you and Annette and the others did for the beach movies especially a big things from the senior citizen. Now you can look back on the best of the best vocals that have ever been on mother earth, I don’t drink anymore but if I had a glass of wine I would raise my glass to both you and Annette and say cheers and thank you for your very best
2:26 It's *NEVER* a "three-hour tour!"
blackjac5000 😂😂😂😂
That bit kind of bums me out. Gilligan should have told Skipper to beat feet. Gilligan deserved better.
and again and again
This movie has so many great songs! :)
so much fun to see them together again, and all the fun guest stars from the past
love Annette's outfits in this.
Everyone: "Some things Live for-eeeeever"
"And Again & Again!" - Bobby 😂
Damn I loved this movie as a Kid😩😩😩
Love is everything❤🥰😘💖💓🤗
Probably the best movie EVER made!!!!!!!!
RIP annette 2013 loved this shit as a kid
so did i i forgot all about this movie
and dont forget about bob denver (Gilligan) and alan hale jr (the skipper) two other great losses
One of my favorite movies.
I love it.
I remember first seeing this as a child and later after high school. It is a shame Ms. Funicello got MS at this time and could not do any sequels. That disease really did a number on her. RIP.
For all you Annette fans, if you look at her UA-cam videos, you'll see her sing an early version of "Ska, Ska, Ska" with none other than Bob Hope on his show appearing on Nov. 20, 1964. Ska came to America via Millie Small's "My Boy Lollipop" that same year. There's a great documentary called "This Is Ska" from 1964, that has all the greats. All along, I thought the song was original to the 1987 film "Back to the Beach", when, in fact, it was Annette singing and dancing a reprise of her act 23 years before!! I always loved Annette!!
Love this movie.
love this movie,always will
Wonderful
History and a Great Movie to be seen by all!
Thanks for putting this song up. Back to the Beach is a classic.
Wore this movie out on my vcr when it was released 🤣
and again and again..
lol
This might be my favorite movie. Bill and Ted was just as fun, but this one really goes all out to be fun and playful.
I love this song ❤
Fucking love it till this day
R.I.P Annette
HOLY COW!!!! Thank you so much. I haven't seen this in like 20 years. I don't know why they left it off the soundtrack. Thanks again for the post! You're the best!
Love this movie! Great music and OMFG Lori Loughlin!
the hair helmet lives
The big crapola! 🙌 🏄♂️
This was my favorite song from the movie
I LOVED this movie growing up! Getting to see the current version of the actors whose old films and shows you watched reruns of, then the newbies,
was great. 😃
R.I.P. Annette Funicello (1942-2013)
I wonder why not on soundtrack of movie? best track ..
Wow the nostalgia feels from the 80s! Loved this movie as a kid! 😢😊
I love this movie
I love this movie! I have it on DVD!
I wish I could find this song, it was left off the soundtrack album
One of my all time favorite movies. All because of Annette. ❤️
OH MY GOD!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PUTTING THIS SONG UP! I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IT FOR YEARS. THANK YOU! You truly made my day lol :D
Love this movies. :)
Memories :)
Annette had many health issues filming Back To The Beach, such a shame. Still have the original soundtrack on LP to this
I used to love this movie when I was little. I had a crush on the guy in the leather jacket. I can't think of his name. He passed away in real life.
Love this movie🥰
How about this Great closing song!! The beginning also has a great opening number - "Catch A Ride On A Wave"...... adds a lot to this most enjoyable film.
1:15 "And Again & Again! "
lol I LOVED this movie when I was a kid.. had to have watched it atleast 100 times And Again & Again! 😂😂😂😂
My late friend Dick Dale in the yellow . Those were the days.
I remember watching this with my mom and dad. I was like Bobby
Thanks for the memories
love this movie
Love you Mama dad
Gilligan and the Skipper!
I watched this movie as a kid didn't understand half the references until I was an adult. too bad this movie wasn't a big hit. I hope it at least made some money
Love this movie
I LOVED this movie 20+ years ago!
I remember they were driving a car singing this song, not remember this part in the video. And again and againg was my lol part.
🙌🏾🙇😍😁WoW!
Yes
I love u skipper!
thanks, its a good song
RIP annette funicello
I actually like this movie better than the ones they made in the 60s, lol
I return to this video each year with hope to find this dsong available free of dialogs... anyone knows is there is possible find it somewhere! LOVE IT SINCE FIRTS TIME I´VE HERAD IT WHEN I WAS 8 YEARS OLD
I can't belive I didn't know that Joe Holland who played Zed passed away.. I had a crush on him he was cute
Ginny Pendas yeah he was a very cute guy. Almost too cute to really play a badass gang member, his good looks and cute smile kind of made it a stretch to be the "villain" of the movie. He looked like a really sweet guy though and it's heartbreaking that he died in his early 30s from AIDS.
@@CraigJordanLA He died from AIDS? I thought it was some unknown heart trouble that killed him. I think I read that it was something to do with a malfunctioning heart -- a heart valve or something.
@@phillipstephens4522 I’m pretty sure. He was Johnny Carson’s stepson and remember at that time, actors and celebrities were very guarded about revealing that someone was gay and/or had AIDS to the press. Even after they passed. So euphemisms were often used , still are “a brief illness”, “a long illness” etc
And again and again! 1:20 🤣
"And again and again..."
ITS NEVER A 3 HOUR TOUR!!!!!!!
It`s a Great Movie.
anytime ;)
i probably enjoy this movie more than i should but who cares!!! love musicals! lol!!
alan hale jr who reprised his role as the skipper from Gilligan's island in this movie along with bob denver who reprised his role as Gilligan in this movie died years later after this movie came out
🤠
love that movie.. but not able to find it somewhere
Who said you could never go home again? :)
This movie wasn't going home. It was awful - nothing like the old beach movies.
fjvideo Well it was more of a send up of the old movies.
2:07-2:38 Gilligan: Call the police! Call the national guard! Call Geraldo!
