Nice job, thank you.
awesome vid thanks!
Just perfect 👍
Does it work with dimensional lumber also? it seems like it will but i just wanted to ask.
And who gave a thumbs down?? Really? The man takes his own personal time to explain a tool that is immensely helpful especially to someone new to making a cutlist......just sayin'
Thank you for the support! Yes, it does work with dimensional provided you input the parameters of the lumber. There are some other programs floating around that do this a little easier as they have the stock dimensional lumber already input for you to select.
Just saw this website thanks alot 😊
Thank you! Nice, straight forward instructions, even an idiot like me can fully understand. Can you do one for sketch up?? Never been able to figure it out.
Thanks so much for this content. But how does one edit final churned out cuts per sheet, if he is satisfied with the layout on a sheet or two?
With regards to dimensional lumber, is there a way for the program to tell you specifically what suze lumber you should buy for maximum effiency. Say like buy #5 8 footers and #4 10 footers?
Thank you.
Duke-in your example you had a back to the cabinet. if the back was from a different material, such 1/2 inch ply, how do you designate which sheet of goods it comes from?-Thanks
Great video, very helpful! I have panels which need to be cut from multiple sheets (18mm and 25mm). Will I have to create a new list - i.e start a new project - when changing to a different sheet or is there another method to this?
Thanks.
The program will automatically figure out the best arrangement for multiple sheets, provided the sheets are all the same.
If you’re using different thicknesses, you would need to make a new sheet for each to the best of my knowledge, otherwise it will simply arrange your components in the best manner and won’t consider which parts need to be 18mm vs 25mm.
If I didn’t get the question right feel free to reply, thanks!!
The solution is to set them us as different materials
Thanks,, very helpful. But I don´t understand this, Minimum trim dimension. What does thet mean? New to woodworking :) /Petra
is it a must you have stock sheet
What if I want different thickness ply
is there anyway to download and upload this info into actual cnc software?
can you show me how to use sketchcut in details
Is there any way to call it through API
in this could we change that program manually, is that possible?
The program is internet based, and I don’t believe it is open source. Hope that answers your question.
Sir how to bring those cut pieces into 1 single area showing every piece? Please Reply soon It's an emergency.
How am I to cut exactly at 5.57” if I’m off even the slightest amount the whole board is scrap.
Great! Does anyone know a web based length optimizer?
I was trying to find the same thing. Like a program that told me the most economical lengths or sizes to purchase.
how i can import from a cad program
Not sure, sorry. I only am aware of the ability to manually input the parameters.
how to free use ? tell me please
It’s a website, google “cutlist optimizer”
Thanks I’ll try to build my cabinets
