QB's are holding the ball too long bc these WR's not named George Pickens are not separating consistently. Nate Herbig should have started over Mason Cole last year. Nate Herbig is a legit NFL starting caliber player, unlike Dan Moore, Cole last year, & the entire WR core except Pickens.
I was there at training camp today and I agree Fields was not very good in the passing game. Running on the other hand was amazing as expected. And really not liking Russell not doing very much at practice.
I know I'm going to get some hate for this, and I hope I'm wrong. But I don't think J.Fields is going to be a franchise quarterback. He would flourish in a slash type of role, though.
I agree. If he does become a franchise QB, it won’t be this year. Fields hasn’t done a single thing to demonstrate that he’s even franchise QB material, let alone good enough to unseat a guy like Russ. *Justin Fields’s 3-Year Career Stats (advantaged metrics in boldface* Pass attempts: 958 Pass completions: 578 Completion%: 60.3% TD-INT: 40-30 Passing yards: 6,674 Passer rating: 82.3 *Rushing yards: 2,220* (vs. 1,327) *Rushing yards/yr: 740* (vs. 442) *Rushing TDs: 14* (vs. 7) *Rushing attempts: 356* (vs. 245.5) *Rushing y/a: 6.2* (vs. 5.4) Sacks: 135 Sacks/yr: 45 Yards lost: 908 Yards lost per sack: 6.7 Fumbles: 38 (11 Lost) On pace for 152 fumbles over 12 seasons with 44 lost. At the end of the day I think Fields should start and Wilson should be the backup. What is the upside of Russ starting. I’d say they are both pretty equal QBs, Fields is younger and more athletic and should continue building chemistry with the starters. I really don’t see an advantage of starting Wilson.
Fields is younger and barely more athletic, and there is EVERY reason to start Russ over Fields. He’s better in every department except for running, and Fields is barely better at that! Do you realize that Russ’s worst season was better than Fields’s best? Lol... this man is counting attempts at camp (practice)... I mean I get it, but damn! I thought practice is where you find your grove, rhythm, connection with teammates, etc... Peyton Manning threw 28 INTs his rookie season alone, and he turned out great... JF is still a raw talent... keep in mind he played a year and a half at Ohio State (Covid year)... got drafted to play at an unstable ORG that never developed him/with no weapons until he got DJ... The O-Line he's had in the CHI were ranked 31 and 21 in the league... they were starting to get it together his last year...(Poles), but it was too late... This his 1st week in Pitt...4th year in the league... Lots of untapped potential and raw talent... I believe Mike T and Arthur will unlock... Speedy recovery to Russ, but at 35 and up, injuries hit differently (I'm just saying)... so instead of tearing JF down for unknown reasons, how bout send positive vibes and energy... I'm sure he's figuring it out with the days he has with the 1s... Hell, the entire team is trying to figure it out.. build chemistry... that's what training camp is for...
Your the only person I’ve heard say Justin had a bad day. Every single other outlet has said he had a better day than yesterday. I saw the clips he didn’t have a bad day at all. But when speaking about Russ you say he did have a day that was good as yesterday?? That’s Symantec’s for saying he had a bad day and he’s not consistent, like you would say about Justin. Smh

@@DeCurtaRican never said he was, but in this new situation he’s in he can be, he can even be better, he can become a better version of Russ but Russ can’t become a better version of Justin
How did JF have a better day than yesterday if he took multiple sacks? I can tell the day wasn't as good by how little it was reported on in the media. When he makes a good pass, people foam at the mouth about it. But it was crickets all day....except for the fight.
I’m so sick and tired of all these stupid roster moves involving spot number 90 and number 89 for a roster that’s going to end up with 53 names. Useless info.
Russ turned people against him with his persona. His corniness, his phoniness, his unwillingness to let people see the real Russ… I have always loved Russ’s game, but I don’t like much else about him. He’s one of the top-15 greatest all-time QBs in my opinion and the opinion of some experts. But he has needlessly brought negativity and misperceptions on himself. That isn’t to say that the media and fans have been fair to him because they haven’t. But he fracked the door open for some of it.
Fields the future is great with him it’s Russ this year but we will see a contract givin to fields even if it’s a cheap ish 1 year prove it next year if Russ is mid😊
A rough day passing? He went 6 for 6 lol he just said his mechanics could be off and it could just be the pads. Listen bro Wilson ain’t shit. And he’s old and fragile unfortunately I’m sorry to say foelds will be the starter before half the season is over. And fortunately for u you’re gonna see how bad ass he is. He’s hungry, if given a chance fields is gonna ball tf out and Russ will never start again. 🐻⬇️
Fields ain’t sh!t but a runner, and if he starts for the Steelers, you can kiss Mike Tomlin and Arthur Smith goodbye! Russ is only 35, and he still has plenty of game left. *Russ in 2023 (in 15 games, not 17):* 3,015 Yards 26 TDs 3 Rushing TDs 8 INTs 66.4% Complete 98 Passer Rating 341 yards rushing (386 over 17 games) *Russ’s 2023 Rankings:* 2nd in Adjusted Completion Rate (78.8%)* 3rd in TD% (5.8) 4th in Completion Differentials 5th in TD-INT Ratio (26:8) 9th in TDs (26) 9th in INT Rate (1.8) 10th in INTs among qualified QBs (8) 11th in Completion% (66.4%) Wilson posted a 66.4% number in 2023, ranking 11th out of the 30 qualifying quarterbacks. Not bad on surface level. Then, looking at adjusted completion rates, we encouragingly see Wilson rocket up to second-best in the NFL, at 78.8%. He also had 4 of the top-5 least probable completions and led the Broncos to a #1 red zone performance rating for half the season. The average QB rushes for about 175 yards per season, skewed upward by LJ, Fields, Hurts, and Allen. In 2023, Russ had the equivalent of 220% times that average QB yardage with his coach hating on him and not calling designed runs for him. He achieved all of that with his own coach hating him! His stats were a mixed bag, but there is much more room for optimism than there is for skepticism. His QBR sucked, but QBR is an offense stat, not a QB stat, which most people don’t understand. Russ in his WORST season (2022) was better than Fields was in his best. Why do people wish failure upon Russ, and why do so-called Steelers fans mot want the best QB option for the Steelers, which is clearly and decisively Russ? As for knocking off Mahomes, Russ and Mahomes have faced off 5 times in their respective careers, and Russ has outperformed him in 4 of those matchups, including both 2022 losses. Russ is the only QB for whom Andy Reid never has an answer, and he’s also the only QB outside of Brady who wipes the smiles off Mahomes’s face. If people watched, they would know that. Quit using Russ’s age as an excuse to write him off! He’s not even old.

Nobody is fighting for Russel Wilson lol bro Wilson has never had a team that liked him lol do u even know who he is? Imagine ur qb telling the franchise he needs an office right next to the president lol imagine that’s where he hangs out instead of with his players 😂 bro Russel has always been hated. Fields has always been loved
Michael Bennett and Earl Thomas tried to tear off Percy Harvin’s head when he got onto Russ’s face. You guys act like nobody loves Russ. Most players love Russ big time, and they would stick up for him. They’ve gotten chippy on the field when Russ has been slammed to the ground, etc.
You don’t know what you’re talking about. Most of Russ’s teammates like him. That’s been true everywhere he has played. Some people don’t like him, but no player is liked by everybody, not Brady, not Mahomes…nobody. Russ just happened to have had a loudmouth named Richard Sherman who started spilling sh!t outside of the locker room, which is B!tch behavior, tbh.
Russ isn’t the only QB who had an office. Even Derek Carr had one. And Russ’s teammates used that office. Like I said, you don’t know what you’re talking about.
I’m glad someone in the media is favoring Russ and on Roger Goodell’s payroll. But the fact is, Russ is just a way better QB. Fields is playing like garbage because the Steelers are a HORRIBLE organization 😂. Isn’t that what everyone said about the Bears? Maybe the guy just sucks. 😂🤔
I don’t think he will or should start over Russ, but Fields has looked good for the most part. It’s easy to see the potential. But show me a guy with potential and I’ll show you a guy who isn’t getting the job done. 🤷🏽♂️😎
Will Russell Wilson be back to a full practice schedule this week? Yes or No?

I know I'm going to get some hate for this, and I hope I'm wrong. But I don't think J.Fields is going to be a franchise quarterback. He would flourish in a slash type of role, though.
You won’t get hate from me!!! Justin Fields isn’t the long term solution for no team in the NFL! Including the Steelers.
@@terrancebrown754 I couldn't agree more👍...
I agree. If he does become a franchise QB, it won’t be this year. Fields hasn’t done a single thing to demonstrate that he’s even franchise QB material, let alone good enough to unseat a guy like Russ.

Fields has a slight advantage in rushing. Russ is superior in every other department. That small rushing advantage isn’t nearly enough to compensate for Russ’s superiority as a passer, especially if we discuss 4th quarter metrics.
If wediscount Russ’s Denver years, Russ’s 3-year average stats would be better than Fields’s by an even larger margin, even if we include two injury years in Seattle (2016 and 2021) that produced outlier statistics.
While both take a lot of sacks, Russ has taken them due to bad/inconsistent O-Lines and pure stubbornness on his part. Fields takes them more because he isn’t a great reader of defenses. His O-Lines have been better than Russ’s.

At the end of the day I think Fields should start and Wilson should be the backup. What is the upside of Russ starting. I’d say they are both pretty equal QBs, Fields is younger and more athletic and should continue building chemistry with the starters. I really don’t see an advantage of starting Wilson.
You must be a 13yr old! Only a child would have a football IQ that low!!!

Fields is a great NFL player just not a good NFL QB
I would like to Russ get out there, full-on, to show/prove that the injury isn't that serious.
I think the injury was more serious than they let on. But they're doing the right thing by bringing him back slowly.

Fake News: Justin Fields Is QB1 Playing His Ass Off This Dork Isn't Reporting What Everybody can see."
Honestly shocked we have fans that think fields is the better qb
Russ turned people against him with his persona. His corniness, his phoniness, his unwillingness to let people see the real Russ…
I have always loved Russ’s game, but I don’t like much else about him. He’s one of the top-15 greatest all-time QBs in my opinion and the opinion of some experts. But he has needlessly brought negativity and misperceptions on himself.
That isn’t to say that the media and fans have been fair to him because they haven’t. But he fracked the door open for some of it.
Russ is head and shoulders above Fields as a player and as a QB. It saddens me that so many people want him to just leave and disappear.
Fields the future is great with him it’s Russ this year but we will see a contract givin to fields even if it’s a cheap ish 1 year prove it next year if Russ is mid😊
Fair enough, but if Russ can play, he won’t need mid.
Y
How do people look at something. Come away with 2 different opinions. Wtf
*Russ in 2023 (in 15 games, not 17):*
3,015 Yards
26 TDs
3 Rushing TDs
8 INTs
66.4% Complete
98 Passer Rating
341 yards rushing (386 over 17 games)
*Russ’s 2023 Rankings:*

3rd in TD% (5.8)
4th in Completion Differentials
5th in TD-INT Ratio (26:8)
9th in TDs (26)
9th in INT Rate (1.8)
10th in INTs among qualified QBs (8)
11th in Completion% (66.4%)
Wilson posted a 66.4% number in 2023, ranking 11th out of the 30 qualifying quarterbacks.
Fields hasn’t done a single thing to demonstrate that he’s even franchise QB material, let alone good enough to unseat a guy like Russ.

And Fields wasn’t recruited to Pittsburgh by the players. Russ was!
Stop making stuff up. You don't know what Russ "demanded"
🙄 he wasn't the first QB to have an office.
Dude really does not like Fields. You can hear it in your voice. While what you say is accurate the tone in the voice is a bit... yeesh
