Andy. My wife and my girls are watching our story...on your channel. We are all in tears. Thank you so much for sharing our story with the world...when we couldn't. Salute. -John
Brought tears to my eyes. It was indeed hundred times better that John made this flipbook himself, because it was so personal and touching. All the time and effort and emotions spent to make this flipbook are precious. Thank you for sharing this great story!
WAH! John--thanks for making this flipbook and allowing Andy to share it with us. You have no idea how deeply you have affected countless people in a really special way. From the bottom of my heart--blessings on you and your family. 😍
First of all what got me smiling was how respectful and understanding the whole interaction has been between you both. After seeing how many artists/creators get very rude/hostile people when things don't go their way, this soothes my soul. Second was to hear he decided to put in effort to make one himself. Which was at first unexpected, but also both incredibly sweet, wholesome, and inspiring. And after watching the flip book. Just wow. It's very well made. I've always seen past "skill" to see the work, soul, fun, and creativity put in. As I'm an artist myself who knows I couldn't be where I am now if I never started & decided to keep learning. But never until now had seen one stick figure animation that made me tear up. Best wishes to you and him. Thank you for sharing.
As C.S. Lewis said, always write your own love letters. It doesn't matter how "bad" they are. Everyone should do art, whether that's "bad" singing or "bad" poetry or "bad" painting. It's not about the skill, it's about the learning and the expression and how good such things are for you and for everyone around you. And the only way to get better at anything is to do it badly.
John’s story is so touching, especially being an old-fashioned romantic myself. I’ve always been off and on when it came to art, but this really inspires me to make something for my family as well- the art we make with our hearts are always so precious and last longer than a lifetime.
I cried. This is really inspiring, and I think the fact that you couldn't do it was the best turn of events. It really does make the flipbook and the story all the more precious.
This actually brought an odd memory to my mind. If you want to hear it fully, keep reading. If you don’t have much time, skip to the end. When I was 7 I saw the first flip book video of yours. It really inspired me to start making flip books which ended up getting my family and friends involved too. The creepy thing about that was one of my flip books (4 hours 200 cards give or take) was the life of a flower. The flip book ended up being a huge foreshadowing of what my life would be like. To;dr I saw an Andymation video and made a flip book. The flip book being a foreshadowing of how my life would be. Still is odd to me.
Genuinely crying, regardless of skill or animation experience this was done so well and told such a beautiful story, happy 10 years together and thank you for sharing this beautiful thing
thank you for making this video! it was honestly so wholesome and ofc very inspiring to me. i’m an artist myself and i do know that feeling when people have so many things they want to convey creatively and just don’t have the confidence to or hesitate to pull it off themselves, so i hope this can reach a lot of people and inspire them to make something meaningful regardless :)
That was actually so heart-touching. I loved how both helped the other out when the two were going through tough times. I loved it so much! (Also, the "Kamehameha Baby Transfer".) Thanks for sharing this, Andy!
This was perfectly done… it’s just as beautiful and just as flawed as the real humans who lived it and the real brave human who made it. Best wishes to you and your family.
First of all, I'm crying more than I've could anticipate... I'm in a pretty bad place right now and doing art it's the only thing that put my mind at ease, but at the same time it makes me really sad that I don't progress the way I wanted to. I often feel like I'm not good at all and that people just don't care about what I do. Watching this made me remember why I didn't give up on my art to this day. Thanks Andymation and John ❤
Hi Andy, thank you and John for sharing the flipbook animation of his life with us. It is a lovely story even though I didn't tear up over it since this happens with everyone who goes through the same this in life. But his story is one of a kind and it shows that even the little things as a flipbook matters as an anniversary gift to the one you love. Thanks again for sharing and God bless you and John and your families.
I’m not someone who cries easily yet his story and flip book made me tear up. I am so grateful you were permitted to show his lifetime and artwork with us. So inspirational even with the struggles, they managed to understand each other again. ❤ beautiful
It's beautiful. Kudos to John for all the hard work in making such a fab and touching creation , and inspiring others. Best to the beautiful family. It's gracious of Andy to share John's creation .. a rare and beautiful thing to do. God bless all.
Words cannot express my feeling… this was beautiful. Artistic or not, art can really tell a beautiful story if you believe in your self. Making a 528 page flip book is not an easy task but John did it even though he’s isn’t an artist. That’s true determination.
This man always awaken my animation skills! I don't know why I create animation even no one watches them and noone appreciate them so I always avoid to animate but after watching his video I always go to pc and start animating without any goal.
Brilliant story-telling about brilliant story-telling. I cried too! Kudos to John, and may he, his wife and family have a long and happy life together.
That Flipbook truly portrays the strongest love from a determined man who will not let anything get in his way or stop him. His wife must be one awesome lady to have a husband who would attempt a Flipbook with no art skills! Super duper great job !
The amount of love I have for this is unreal. I am in awe at John’s determination. I respect him very much. John, the amount of hearts you’ve melted is out of this world. Thank you for being you.
When a celebration like an anniversary, birthday or whatever comes up and you want to give a gift but can't afford it, it's just better to create your own gift because it came from you and not from a store. Better memories come from a person who put their heart, soul and thought into a gift such as that flip book. Plus it's cheaper to make your own gift or card.
You don't need the best art skills when your skills are being the best you can be with your family, even through tough times, and I saw a lot of that in the flip book, it had me tearing up, well done, well done.
OMG. I cried out of happiness, sadness, so proud of him, the fact that I could understand every single stick figure movement, … so many emotions. Geez John. Happy anniversary John and wife!!! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your words. I cannot believe that this video is almost 1 million views. Never would I thought it would get this attention. Thanks to @Andymation for everything

It’s a nice story and all the only reason I commented this so a feed off of comedy
Some do say that love is the strongest force
I however respond with violence
I respond with anger
He went Kamehameha and made a child
