REQUIEM DX is definitely a better, more polished and overall more detailed version of REQUIEM, but I think some opportunities to redeco and otherwise change some parts of the level were missed. This level, like REQUIEM, is dedicated to one of Lithifusion's friends who passed away a long time ago.

So I just came here from NothingIsScary's Demonlist Ranking Supercut, and holy fuck. This hits. This absolutely gut punches me right to the core of my soul. But holy shit it's so good. Like, between the deco that's actually pretty visually clear, and more importantly, looks great, and the mildly disturbing imagery, the song which has always went so hard, it's so good. And oh my god, reading the text at the end initially made my stomach absolutely DROP. While I haven't experienced what Liqua has that contextualizes this, I've felt this way before, given how many people around me are in a bad place mentally, and the lingering fear of a dire conclusion on those fronts absolutely horrifies me, and this level captures that perfectly along with it absolutely hitting the mark on most other fronts.
Contextually and story-wise, I've never thought I could care about a level so much, but oh my god this is a fucking masterpiece. If I get skilled enough to, I don't care, I'm beating this instead of the rated version. Fantastic level.
every so often I check back on some of the videos of my own levels and it's nice to see comments like these, thank you ❤

FINALLY, I FOUND A DX VERSION OF IT AND I LOVE THIS, IT'S BETTER THAN THE OLD ONE (I was looking for it after seeing Neiro's notification but it was deleted seconds later)
requiem was always a cool level because of the reason behind it. this just levels it up, adding onto requiem previously (ofc cuz remaster but yeah). part of me wants this as the rated version but oh well kids game is a kids game after all. rest in peace.
If Peaceful, which is more graphic imo, can get into the 10th anniversary video I think this can get rated

@@r3ked272sorry that I’m late… but peaceful, while sure containing WAY more blood is in no way more graphic than this.. what pushes this ahead of peaceful is the lean towards realism (example, the eye gouge) while peaceful really ends up being more like some bloody holes and teeth i guess?? and you could say “10 year anniversary video is a bigger step than a rate it’ll be fine”, but it’s probably there for the effect it had on horror levels more than it’s gore. do i still think the gore boundaries are stupid and this should be rated, shifting gd to a more mature game? yeah totally but do i think you’re right?? no sorry

I think this is a much more refined and well-crafted version of the original, which was already a great level. I’m also glad that all reference to Killbot was removed, since pairing the two together has always felt… incredibly icky to me.
how does requiem refer to killbot?

Liftifusion please see this requiem is one of my favorite gd levels and behind it is an extremely sad story this is more then a level in a video game this is a story being told and I feel like requiem dx is a great remake of requiem liftifusion you’ve left a mark on this game forever people will be looking back on this when the game is 15 or even 20 years old you are one of the greats in gd your storytelling skills are amazing and your building skills are insane hope your feeling better now after what happened rip david

@@Anxmaly666 the build up is fine in this DX version but the drop to 100 is just not working. The arts are way too clean, the faces are literally ridiculous, the texts are just genuinely not fitting the level theme.
@@Sergonizer eh, i really enjoy both version a lot and kinda like how its cleaned up a bit. Given that this level is for his lost friend i feel like it works more.

This is the scariest level in geometry dash and it will be for a very long time or most likely forever, let me explain.
if you could’ve heard the story behind all of these levels in this series it would make it so much scarier, i recommend watching “requiem dx” the 20 minute video on lithifusions channel and watch this again
a few things i like about this level is how after hearing the story the self harm isn’t just there to be scary it’s there to represent a true experience the creator suffered.
another thing is in 0:29 - 0:45 it’s almost like a prayer, as a christian having the knowledge i know, the way this prayer is represented imo is like almost a twisted psychotic broken mind trying to call out for the Lord to somehow fix his wounds. evidence of this is the constant graphic imagery flashing and other epileptic effects, this person isn’t sane while praying, especially with “amen” with the cross saying “david” on it and the grey hands reaching up for it in a sort of hellish atmosphere. the mind has been corrupted to the point where his prayers are unholy and won’t reach God. which is terrifying. but that’s my take.
and another small detail is the profanity in 1:05 which is honestly so rare because there usually not in levels even when there not meant to be rated, like even scary levels like “man man” which is way more nsfw don’t have it and it just makes this level feel so raw like it truly came from lithifusions heart from his past experiences.
I honestly wish the best for this dude, and rest in peace David.

When you showcase a level you use a thing called a renderer that basically takes every frame and manually creates it so theres no lag
@@Fudge_ ah, makes sense. I can run Requiem at a good 200 fps but can’t even run Blacklist at 10 fps

The flashing images shouldn't be gradually fading out, instead just instantly fade out. And the graphics and writings could be made a bit more vague so it gives off intimidating vibes.

If lithifusion re-do the graphic content with more realistic shit (even with using bot) it would be a lot better, there are a lot of bots that let you put images into gd, so he can draw over them or whatever
