1:26 it's all freshman playing this part this year in my school and none of us have the confidence to play it loud enough. it's a great time, plently of wrong notes and bad timing :')
I played this in my high school Marching Band. This is fascinating how the video is showing the conductor's score and turns the pages as the song plays. It's also cool to hear it with a professional-sounding band. I would compare my high school Marching Band to the internet meme known as "shittyfluting."
It stinks. Band directors only do it every year because it’s easy and they are lazy and don’t want to work on anything difficult. Usually fat old music teachers
I rather enjoy my directors, both from Middleschool and Highschool. But I do agree, especially with Jazz; Harder pieces that prove to be a challenge are more fun to play. The reason why Directors don't usually choose harder pieces are due to the fact that newer people would have trouble with it at performances, if not the band as a whole.
I'm playing this for my concert. I love this song, Idk why but I just love Harold's works. I know this is a medley but man I love this. Also why give 1st clarinet scoops in the altissimo register. >:(
