When I was growing up, we had two squirrels who lived across the street and would come to visit every day. George and Cynthia were quite the little squirrel couple. They would sit on our window sill and eat nuts. We could feed them with our hands, and they never nipped. At 4 o’clock every day they would come across the street and sit in the living room window and watch the Mike Douglas show. Every spring they brought their babies and introduced them. George was hit by a car after about seven years and we gave him a proper burial under one of his favorite trees. Cynthia was with us and grew quite old. Her belly, from having nursed so many squirrel pops dragged on the ground. One spring she didn’t return. 60 years later, I still recall was so much affection those too sweet spirits. How lucky was I that they shared their life with us without fear.

Bram so gently pushing your finger away because he wants to claim the walnut - plus the hazelnut, which he loses! They are so cute! My squirrels seem to think I’m not a reliable feeder since I’ve been out of town almost 8 out of the past 11 weeks. No more of that travel! Im putting nuts out for them but don’t have as many (maybe 3 or 4) and they definitely prefer hazelnuts in the shell now! Hi Cutie, Earl, Feisty, and all the rest!

love your squirrels! our squirrels are also very polite too. We feed them large raw sunflower seeds which they eat in. In the fall whole nuts available so they expect nuts. their favorite is walnut first maybe because they are larger, smaller nuts are last to take away

I do enjoy watching this channel to get my daily fix. And I love it that there is very little spoken word and absolutely no stupid inappropriate music which is usually customary for You Tube videos. The information about the squirrels is displayed on the screen instead, and allows us to hear the natural sounds of the environment. It's so relaxing watching these videos and if I lived there I would be permanently sat at that window, watching and waiting. Thanks for the channel, it's great.

we also feed the squirrels every morning in our backyard,they always go for the pecans and hazel nuts over the almonds and walnuts and enjoy the sunflower seeds as well.We also have four crows that visit each morning,we set up feeding plus water station for them to keep them from taking the squirrels pecans,amazing you are not having any crows,anyway you have earl the squirrel now you need pearl the squirrel.
