Will Ramos, the singer, did a one-take vocalvideo for "To The Hellfire". Its phenomenal.
Yeah it was insaneee
Wanna know what it sounds like live definitely listen to that
Yes.
It was uploaded like 2 days ago 2 incredible!
@@its_Styx ua-cam.com/video/Ms5HZFSpX3Q/v-deo.html This is a smartphone video with good quality. This guy is insane live.
"Can he do this live?"
Yes.
"How does he do it?"
There's a receipt with Satan's name on it somewhere
His vocal cords move assimetrically and turn in 45 degree, as a biologyst I think that's inhumane and inanimal)), in most cases symmetrical thing tend to work symmetrically even doing assimetrically moves with your hands is challenging. He is a demon for sure.
There is a video with a camera in his throat, check it
There is actually a pentagram with the devil's horn as hand sign in the end of his one take video tho lol
The singer can in fact do it live, somehow.
Check out his one-take performance
Just layering and reverb in the video
Metalcore: Wading into the pool
Deathcore: Diving into the deep end
Lorna Shore: Fuck the pool, let's get thrown into the depths of hell.
When you get to the deep end of the pool, you circle back to Easycore and just hang out in the hot tub
For any LOTR fans: this vocalist is smeagol and the eye of sauron in one person. Such crazy range
infant annihilator invented doing everything he's doing
@@jerixsixtynine6612Dickie Allen specifically but everybody knows that and nobody cares. Will does this live on the daily and perfomes it flawlessly everytime. Dickie is a studio boi. Meticulous but has very little live performances that does it well.
Deathcore will generally have down tuned guitars, blast beats, tremolo picking and gutteral vocals. Very similar to death metal, but then deathcore also has breakdowns just like metalcore
I always explain it like this, metalcore is the blending of heavy metal and hardcore. You'll have clean and harsh vocals and dinner heavy breakdowns. Deathcore is the mixing of death metal and hardcore. You'll get the down rubbed guitars, blast beats, harsh vocals and the heavy breakdowns.
not to mention that metal core usually vocals are more distinguishable
whilst deathhore, the more nastier and grotesque sounding the better ..in some cases
@@Phiktional not really the best definition of metalcore since Thrash Metal is a mix of heavy metal and hardcore punk. I'd say metalcore is 90's beatdown hardcore with big influence of melo death riffing and (sometimes) use of clean singing choruses.
@@Phiktional This is the best way to describe it.
@@Phiktional pretty bad explanation of metalcore.
DAVID, NEVER DID I EXPECT TO SEE THIS. LORNA SHORE IS ONE OF THE MOST EXCITING BANDS I LISTEN TO. THIS SERIOUSLY MADE MY DAY LOL! Thanks dude, so glad you could appreciate the talent.
I was blown away
I really love that you can appreciate good musicianship across all these different genre. Your energy and positive attitude are REALLY refreshing.
I love when people can appreciate my favorite genres (death metal and deathcore). I know they're hard to get into b/c they're just a wall of sound a lot of times, but I love when someone can appreciate it for the musicianship and the skill involved, even if they don't like it necessarily.
I was just thinking that. His form of appreciation is definately scarce.
@@DemonLordRaiden I had a buddy say, "I can scream into a moc like that too". With him, he hears the years spent to learn the craft, the execution and technicality.
This is what loving the art of music actually looks like. You can’t pigeon hole yourself into certain genres.
🔥🤘😈🤘🔥
Happy to see you GC
1,2,🖕🏻
You pop into as many random comment sections as Alex Terrible does, Cheers Bud!
Dude, Im so glad to see you in the comment sections of Lorna Shore reaction vids this long after their release!
I mean if its Lorna Shore, Shadow of Intent, or Humanity's Last Breath, then you'll see Galactic.
I got a question GC. Have you reacted to new Vildjharta? I can't remember seeing their new album on your channel.
Last night I watched live footage of this band playing for 45 min and the vocalist Will held up perfectly the entire set, it was easily one of the most impressive extreme metal performances I've seen. He's the real deal.
He’s on of the next vocalists in the game. His breath work and technique is INSANE
Well shit, I liked him before but now I really respect him
One of the best reactions I’ve seen of this track. This song comes with a ton of shock value, but to hear someone move past that and recognize the bonkers musicality of these dudes is refreshing.
This is why David is the only reaction channel I subscribe too, because he is not just a person he is a musician and so he picks out a lot more stuff than most reaction videos people put out.
Nothing tops watching a person that truly enjoys music getting as hype as the music because of the music itself. So good.
You have to consider that this was the first song they released with their new vocalist so this was also a statement to showcase the abilities of Will. And what a statement it is.
Fun fact: the three song EP they released shows three totally different songs from a songwriting and stylistic perspective, which is just awesome.
Loved the reaction, did not expect you to react on it.
I don’t listen to death metal or deathcore. Lorna Shore is my first dive into this style of music, and I have to say that EP really is something else. Of The Abyss is a fucking masterpiece
@@keefee777 FLAWED BY DESIGN WE WERE BORN TO DIE
@@sarcasm4371 Immortal is phenomenal. Hollow Sentence is such a fantastic song. Mental Cruelty's A Hill To Die Upon is wild too. Thanks for the recommendations 👌
@@TheGreatGritzy I'll look those up for sure. Recently discovered Shadow Of Intent and Worm Shepherd 👌
I love finding new genres I enjoy, and going down the rabbit hole.
@@keefee777 that’s literally a lyric from Of the Abyss 😂 first line of the breakdown
Deathcore is essentially death metal infused metalcore! That's how the name came to be as well :)
Pretty much this, yep.
If your going down the rabbit hole if Lorna Shore i would highly recommend checking out the rest of their E.P “… And I Return To Nothingness”. The song “Of The Abyss” is by far my favorite and the orchestral elements are incorporated so beautifully!
Of The Abyss is so good. That EP as a whole is a fucking masterpiece
Of The Abyss is the best of the EP.
Agreed that Of the Abyss is the best of the trio. Death Portrait would be fun too.
I actually agree. While this song is brutal…that song is so much more technical
@@bigsway7062 This song to me just felt like a big old 'hey here's our new vocalist, here's the sounds he can make.' It's good. But it never felt like an actual song to me idk
I’ve watched no less than 20 reactions to this song. This is the one I’m most excited for.
YES HE CAN SOUND EXACTLY LIKE THIS LIVE!!! I saw them a few months ago and was blown away and how ACCURATE they sounded especially Will. Hes a MONSTER
Will Ramos can absolutely do this live. It’s incredible to see
When David said there were a lot of effects on Will's voice, I laughed out loud. He needs to give the one-take a listen. No effects there! ALLLLLLLLLLL Mr. Ramos.
There are still effects like reverb tho
I never advised this song to you 'cuz I never expected you will react to this. No way I'm watching this, David, this is insane. Check out Wills one-take vocal video "To the hellfire". All you said about sound engineers - forget about it, Will is doint these effects all by himself XD
Fun fact: if you will look closer, you won't find any bass guitar. You definetely should check "And I Return To Nothingness", this is pure perfection. Mark my word, you will like it.
Maybe, Invent Animate or new Imminence songs next?
YES, Invent Animate
If they dont use base how much do they down tune the other guitar?
you wouldn't hear shit without sound engineers xD
Yeah, I'm sure Will is great, but to think there's no post here is silly. You can literally hear multiple voices on the track. They didn't try to hide it. Just because there is post production doesn't mean they're not good.
Yeah
"Can this singer do that live?" - Yep. See *"To the Hellfire - Lorna Shore One Take Vocal Playthrough"*
It's incredible. Not only does he nail it, he seems to be doing it with little effort.
There's effort, it's just that he's so good he makes it look effortless
@@avocadocolorado3433 Can confirm. Like anything else, practice makes perfect and even the nastiest vocals can become fairly effortless. I'm most impressed by Will's lungs though. I can do some stuff in his style, but no way I could do that track in one take. His lung capacity and breath control is straight up insane.
Do slaughter to prevail Next, Alex terrible is another amazing death core vocalist and there drummer is crazy.
A similar band that you should check out is Slaughter to Prevail. Their song Demolisher is incredible 😄
It is good but not quite similar 😂
@@lasserohrbach6243 I meant heavy af for similar lol
The look of excitement and fear on David's face is perfect. Like to think that's exactly what Lorna Shore was going for lol
Oooh boy... I was waiting for this moment.
The main difference between metalcore and deathcore is that, in metalcore, there are most often clean vocals involved (think Architects, Ice Nine Kills...), whereas deathcore is almost exclusively hard vocals, screams and growls (like Lorna Shore, Angelmaker...)!
I like that you picked AngelMaker as second representative for Deathcore.. you got good taste :D
That is not the main difference. There are deathcore bands with cleans, albeit not many, just as there are VERY many metalcore bands without cleans.
The first metalcore out there has close to no cleans either.
The biggest difference lies in the blast beats, guitar tuning, tremolo picking and vocal styles (not necessarily cleans vs non-cleans)
@ninjafang of course metalcore has a lot more cleans. My point is that if you're listening to a song you can't decide if it's metalcore or deathcore just based on whether there are cleans in the song or not.
August Burns Red, Alpha Wolf and Converge are examples of hige metalcore bands without cleans.
Slice The Cake, Shadow Of Intent and newer Whitechapels are examples of deathcore with cleans in them.
However, you are still able to hear a distinct difference, it just doesn't have much to do with the amount of cleans.
As to why most deathcore doesn't have cleans, I think it's because it simply fits less in many of the lyrical themes and together with the mote aggressive and intense style of music
Feel free to point it out if you think something is inaccurate or confusing about this reply
Haven’t clicked faster on a video, I can’t believe you are reacting to this!!!
+1
I did not expect this reaction. I'm excited
The main difference between deathcore and metalcore is the voice, which in the deathcore is maintained only in guttural song techniques; in metalcore there are clean and guttural voices.
In addition to that, the instrumentation of the deathcore is heavier and usually faster too.
Not just the voice. It's more about the tuning on the guitar. It falls more on drop G or D
@@jonr5638 I assumed that this would be included in the heavier instrumentation, although it is fine to mention it as well.
@@jonr5638 yes.. deathcore is more of tuned down guitars..
When the song first came out many doubted that he could actually sing like this and it was all production but he has came out with videos of him singing the song in one take without production and lowered instrumentals.
10:34 I love how he follows the melody thru his piano. Amazing 🎹
Those were hands down the most adorable fledgling metal 2-steps I've ever seen. You can feel his passion for music
I just love that you’re able to enjoy good music, regardless of genre. I’m with you 100% about this band. This isn’t something I would’ve listened to normally. But after seeing almost all the react channels listen to this, and all of them react positively, I grabbed the album and listened to it with a pair of headphones and was blown away. These guys are super talented, and even as someone from outside this scene, I could tell this band really is something else
yesss, waited so long for this thank you
I've been waiting for this video for so long
Amazing video as always! 🤘🏻
So happy to see you reacting to this song!!❤
Been waitin for this one, let’s go
11:50, right before THAT part:
"ahh, i need a nap"
that timing
😂😂😂😂 I thought exactly the same
Yes! I've been waiting for this reaction for what seems like forever
Lorna Shore was actually the name of a museum curator in an old batman comic from the 70's!
LOVE the reaction
i was waiting/hoping for you to do a reaction to this!!!😄
This band blew me away when I first heard them and this was the first track I listened to. Just mesmerized by the quality and unbelievable gutterals and screams. Drummer is insane and I love that. BTW another drummer I have heard that is magical with blast beats and machine-gun-like quality is Evginy Novikov from Slaughter to Prevail. He also has a drum playthrough for the Demolisher track. Beautiful reaction. Thank you.
Love the genuine reaction easy sub I look forward to more.. keep up the good work!
glad to be back watching your breakdowns on music i love
Love the open reaction. Good stuff.
I've been waiting for this one. I cannot express my gratitude to you for reacting to this song. ♡
Thank you. I will try this.
The name Lorna shore actually came from a character in a Batman comic she was a museum curator and a brief love interest of Bruce Wayne for two or three comics
your reactions and personality always brings a smile to me thank you for your videos
I love the fact that you are open to every genre. It's so entertaning to watch :)
I’ve been waiting for this for months
yas, David, finally you did it, great thank you, was waiting exactly for your reaction🔥
I love channels like this. Thank you! Listening/watching real musicians react to and comment on music is really awesome. Again, thank you!
Dude, exactly! These sounds remind me of all the work there's yet to do in my soul. So perceptive of you to get it right away. Great reaction, man!
Nice reaction!
Nice reaction! Saludos desde México :)
both the live performance video and the vocal playthrough for this video are great
The best reaction sentence ever heard: "I need a nap after this". Thank you brother.
You really have some wise words to say. Thank you
The UA-cam algorithm has blessed me today!! this was a fun video to watch. love Lorna shore and love the reaction!
Man, I wish you were my music teacher in school haha you're awesome.
OMG YES, HE DID IT! Made my day!🔥
you're the best! such a nice, positive, open-minded human being! 💜
That drummers feet is faster than a damn cheetah . The timing of this song is sick it takes some incredible talent to pull that off that tight. Not my favorite type of music even though I do like a lot of metal but I always appreciate awesome musicianship and this is definitely that!!!
Dude I love the appreciation you are giving to these musisians, being yourself a musisian
Such a good shirt to wear during this song. Much love to you!
I've seen dozens of reactions to this song/video, and I think this is def my fave reaction video.
Haha heyyy hell yeah! Excited to watch this.
Yes yes he sounds like that live I saw him 3 weeks ago!!! It’s insane haha
This guy makes me so happy when I see him react to Lorna shore
One take vocal playthrough of this song is a must mate. Great reaction
They have some live shows up and he also did a one take on his page. I love how you touch every range of music and enjoy it no matter if it's in you're lane or not!!!!
this guy understands what ive been saying for years about drummers specifically they are incredible
The best part of it is that they sound just as good when going live!
Top tier baby!!!
I was SO waiting for this react. I just KNEW David would love it.
Also, David if you read this, trust me, you'll have a great time reacting to Darko - "Insects", watch the live-in studio performance, it's phenomenal
Great band!
Finally someone gives some love to this drummer!! That guy is insane 😎❤
Wish I could double-like this. Your appreciation for what they made is so great
I dreamt this day would come 💙
David, thank you for judging music based on musicianship and content quality instead of judging it because it sounds different. You’re the best!
Ive been obsessed with watching reactions to this song as there are sooo many levels to it in everypart. This us by FAR my favorite reaction. Thank you for being so open minded with this and so appericative of the talent , skill and time it takes to make. Much love 💝
Love you too 666
1 feb in belgium im gonna see this band live :00
I know this is an older video but Will Ramos did a video with charismatic voice and had a camera put in his vocal cords to see what happens when he makes these noises it was amazing.
Loved this reaction, and I really hope you do Will's one take video on this song as well..it'll definitely blow your mind!
Very happy to see you react to this! Will is very talented! You can look up live performances of this song AND someone's already this int he comment section but will released a video of him doing it one take live no editing on the vocals! And it sounds practically the same! There's diffantely a different in the sound of live verses recorded, but will is damn close to not needing it!
He can do it live i just saw him a couple weeks ago sounds amazing!
Hands down my favourite song of 2021.
The drum playthroughs from this drummer really put his skill set into perspective 👌
I feel the same! It's an incredibly cathartic song. When I feel stuck and confused and frustrated, this is THE best song to put on to release it. I mean I listen to it daily regardless, but especially for those moments. So damn good!
yea it is perfect.
I love watching your video, and I do feel the same. Heavy ass music forces my negative emotions/"inner demons"/to expel from my body and make me a happier parson walking through the day. (:
he does this live and he actually makes it sound better
I love discovering random reactions to this song. Especially from people that don't seem to listen to this kind of music. Gives me that same feeling from my first listen.
OMG IT'S HAPPENING!
This reaction is why I follow you.
I've been waiting for this !!!❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥 If you got insane with Will's voice in that vídeo, You have to listen to him alive 🔥
he can MORE than do this live. omfg
As a huge fan of this band, death core, and Metalcore I absolutely love watching people react to this song!
