We follow up our U of M campus tour with a downtown virtual walking tour. Missoula has a great vibe to it. Surrounded by mountains, the Clarks Fork river flows right through town and there's a lot of hotels down by the river. Lots of great music happens and there are lots of great restaurants. It's a cold day but the sunny afternoon was a great day for walking trails for treadmill. This virtual treadmill walk was on a beautiful sunny day. Treadmill walking scenery is a great alternative to news and dramas during your workout. We really enjoy making these walking tours for treadmill and I find your comments very motivating so feel free to leave your opinions below.

I lived in Missoula for two and a half years in the 1980s getting my M.A in English Literature degree at the UM. I have never forgotten the town or the country. Some of the places, such as Bernice's Bakery, one of the bridges I recognized. There were some other very popular places downtown Missoula like The Shack, Top Head, the Lily Restaurant (where I worked) which bring back pleasant memories of learning about life and a different culture at 24 years of age. It was a value changing and formative place for me. Thank you, the author for filming this walk! I spent about 6 months working in Missoula for a previous job and it really stole a piece of my heart ❤️ Coming from NYC, it's such a dramatic difference, but it was such a nice break from the city. Missoula's one of my favorite places in the US and I can't wait to get back and visit! Need to get my Black Coffee Roasting Company fix!

I lived in Missoula ( The Garden City) from early spring of 1967 to early September of 1970. A great place to live, loved it still do. Wish I could NEVER have had to move from there❗❗❗

Another great walk Henry. Always really enjoy your walks. All the towns in Montana look really attractive places to live. Problem is in the end too many people want a share of it! You can't blame them, but too much development sadly ends up destroying what they came for in the first place.
Glad you enjoyed it and I couldn't agree more. Literally thousands of people have moved here this year (To MT). The median house price jumped from $420K last year to $615K in December. Locals can't afford to buy anymore. I moved here in 2003 so it's hard for me to complain to much but it's an issue that will have to be dealt with. -H

Hi: i really appreciate this video and the time you took
out of your day to do it. I have never been to Missoula.
My sister lives in Missoula in one of the better motor home
(trailer) parks. There is only a small middle class there. Everyone
else is either upper income, students, homeless (yes there is surprisingly
a significant number of pretty low income and homeless people living in Missoula)
Or old lower income retirees who somehow got stuck living in Missoula.
Since Montana does have open gambling, I don't understand where the revenue does go.
Perhaps there are not enough people who visit Montana and lose their money gambling.
Anyhow thanks much again. Perhaps you could do it again some time when they have "spring" weather and we can get to see the green stuff?

I've been considering moving to to Zootown for months now, and over those months of research I've just fallen in love with the place. I'm from Mobile, AL and ive never lived outside of the south, and never anywhere near mountains, but I've always had a fascination for the mountains and I love the outdoors, and Missoula just speaks to my soul in a way other places in Montana, or honestly the rest of the country just don't. Thanks for this glimpse into what its like to be in Missoula, and it makes me evermore excited to visit this summer and hopefully eventually move there!

The big building with a horse statue in front of it is a building for a bunch of different things and that big modern new looking building is a new library that they are building, we have been waiting for two years for them to finish it
