      My art teacher said she’s grateful to be getting some supplies from me because it’s been hard for her to get out & get her own. That makes me very happy to know they are going to a good “home”🥰

    As a Michigander, I just can’t relate to being able to store anything in an exposed, outdoor space. It’s like watching California school kids walk outside between classrooms in January!! We’re all, like, 🌨🌬❄️☃️ You’re doing great!! I just gave away a bunch of beading supplies because Reality 😜. I keep doing the expiration thing on knitting stuff…and then violating my deadline. Hard to let go of the me I wish I was 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @TracyAkamine
      @TracyAkamine  2 роки тому

      I’m lucky I can do the outdoor thing because my house has so little storage & I just can’t stand to see the clutter inside anymore! My hope is to one day be able to take the shed down tho! I know I can get there💪🏼

    If i'm not going to use it, I let it go so that someone else can use it. That's how I get through the process. You are definitely pass your second layer of peeling away at the onion. 👏👏👏

    You are an artist so.... besides the creative outlet there's a financial incentive of incoming and outgoing. Realistically hours in a day vs energy levels don't always mesh.😂You are doing amazing! Tina and Tracy work together well!

    • @TracyAkamine
      @TracyAkamine  2 роки тому +1

      Thats SO TRUE! The great thing about doing these videos is not only is my house getting decluttered/cleaned but it’s a creative outlet that doesn’t TAKE UP SPACE or require SUPPLIES🤣I could geek out with video production equipment but I’ve exercised enormous restraint in that area! Only bought a ring light & tripod for my phone💪🏼 Usually when I start a new venture I go nuts & buy everything in sight “just in case” I need options but there’s a cost barrier with the video equipment so that helped🤣…Tina & I are going to hit the kitchen next for a deep declutter/clean💪🏼

      Who can afford to keep up to date with electronic equipment!? 🤣😂 I have no artistic ability and computers only came from NASA and were ENORMOUS! I am impressed with myself I can use my own cell phone. Lol. Growing up we listened to radio once a week and TV wasn't in most homes. 🤣😂💯OLDER THAN DIRT. 😂🤣👍I can look at something and see if I like it or not but can't even color in the lines! Keep on with your decluttering muscles!💪💯👍! You can already see all kinds of progress!

Would help you feel so much better 🥰 I mowed yesterday for the first time this season. Now next flower beds. And just keep going. I set a table up in my living room for pc ,and VCR player .🤣 Now I have to take everything down because am taking up carpet. Redoing is no fun. But am more organized than before I set it up. And it's super cool your giving to your old art teacher. Makes it easier to let go knowing it will be used

Its a marathon not a race and maybe the next time you go through your stuff, you might find more you don´t need. I like the idea with the date :) But please don´t forget to take breaks. You don´t need to do all at ones. Hope you have a great day. Greetings from Germany

    This was a GREAT video. I didn’t want it to end 😂 I had many thoughts watching this video so I’m re-watching it while writing this to you 🤗 I really enjoyed the structure of your video: Tracy vs. Tina 😂 It was really entertaining!
    Using an expiration date is a very smart solution. It helps you to move on from that feeling of wanting to keep everything. You trick your mind into believing that the momentum is still going. And since you already gave a decision about its expiration, in November you won’t have to think and you’ll just get rid of it. My advice is to also put a reminder before your exp.date. Otherwise the mind might try to find excuses why the time was not enough. The reminder will help you to go through these stuff and maybe trigger you into using them before the deadline.
    About the paint plates, I don’t really know how toxic is paint. Cleaning the plate with water and letting the paint mix with the sewer system might be dangerous. Maybe using disposable plates might be less harmful.
    For jewelry that is not valuable or sentimental, you can tell yourself that you can always go to a thrift shop and buy a 5dolars necklace if you need. Also for the velcro or other art supplies, if they are quite inexpensive try to let them go. The free space at your house (in your mind) is worth sooo much more! Always try to picture the day where you will not have to declutter or try to decide whether to keep or donate stuff but just clean the dust off of them.
    I suggest that you gradually let go of containers that you don’t really like or is very old or a weird size. Having a bin available might be a magnet for storing more stuff.
    I really hope that your videos fall into the algorithm soon and other people watch then and get motivated as well thanks to your hard work and energy you share with us 💜

    • @TracyAkamine
      @TracyAkamine  2 роки тому

      Thank you sooooooo much for all the tips & for watching (& rewatching 😃). Those are all great suggestions! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video structure🤩It was something new I was trying & I agree, much more entertaining! Expect to see that moving forward👍🏻 Re: paint palate, the awesome thing about these plates (I’ve tested them out) is I can let the paint dry then soak them in water, then the acrylic paint just peels off so I can toss in trash! No polluting the ocean❤️That being said, I have a TON of the disposable plates to go through so it will be a hot minute before I even get to the regular plates🤣 …I too hope my videos hit the algorithm soon😆Every view, like, comment & share helps though! So THANK YOU for contributing 🥰❤️ I’m working hard on improving my content and production/editing quality so hopefully as new people find my videos they will get good “stats” and will catch that wave. In the meantime I’ll keep getting stronger and hopefully helping/inspiring/motivating the people that are with me now❤️🙏🏼After my last video where I said I felt I was speaking to that one person out there that needed help, someone replied that they were the “one” and that meant the WORLD to me!!! I’m just happy to help anyone I can! It’s not an easy journey, especially in the beginning, but its💯 WORTH IT!!!! 💥💥💥Thank you again! You can rewatch my videos as much as you want🤩❤️
