I listen to Placebo but I've always admired Brian's brains as well. It's amazing how unbelievably eloquent and articulate he is when it comes to the interviews. Regardless of the topic he always has something absorbing to say.The stuff he comes up with never seems boring to me.Well of course apart from the interviews where the interviewer is dumb or doesnt speak english a bit
Brian intrigues a part of me that I never knew I had lol musically he’s brilliant and when he talks he’s so interesting and smart. I’ve been listening to black market music a ton lately. Such a brilliant, well produced album
Ikr, Queen of the Damned and all that vampire and other stuff (sorry, I've only read her 'Interview With the Vampire' trilogy). Funny how no one gets it :)
Though Brian says he's not a goth, I still find that the band's music has some similarities with gothic rock whether intended or not, after all he is influenced by post-punk which goth came out of. And Andrew from The Sisters denies being a goth or even being part of post-punk, he says he is influenced by classic rock, and he and his band have become pillars of gothicness. :P
I remember this show when it went out on TV. It wasn't much more than what Huey Morgan and Brian Molko said about the guy. Pretty complimentary towards his stuff at a time when there was obviously some controversry surrounding him.
Couldnt agree with you more..I've listened to the Sisters ,Bauhaus and Industrial dark metal for 30yrs..I think alot of kids think this genre was invented by a certain MM..lol..I'm originally a Liverpool gal (uk) and hung around as mates with alot of these guys..very creative time to be a young person..very creative too..That 1st Placebo album was excellant..peace to you .my 1st day on this channel..lol it empty !
(Speaking from an LA’s point of view) The Goth scene is the same or even worse according to Brian’s observation. I still love it but it can have its down sides forsure.
Well, I for once always thought Bauhaus and Siouxsie And The Banshees were absolutley brilliant groups, that haven't aged a bit to me. Placebo on the other hand kind of seem stuck in the teenage angst thing from the 90's, and don't even get me started on MM, what an attention seeker with no quality whatsoever. But hey, to each his own I guess, but do yourselves a favour and do not ignore Bauhaus and the Banshees because of Molko, you'd be missing out on 2 great groups.
"Over here we have The Sisters of Mercy, and in America you've got Marilyn Manson" No, just no, two totally different things. Sisters and Manson are not equivalents.

Oh, the 90s, when you could still smoke in television studios... And Brian was so cute!

Ha! This is hilarious. Brian makes this brilliantly funny quip about Anne Rice novels AND NOBODY GETS IT.

brian is really like...well conversed in every interview video i've seen.

"Reading too many Anne Rice books..." Brian, why you gotta come for me like that.

Bauhaus and the banshees are not Goth ! They are art ...and timeless ..with so much substance it's quite remarkable ..
bela lugosi’s dead is literally the goth anthem lol
@@lfcforever1482 at the time , I don't even think Goth was really labelled , even though people reckon that Bauhaus were the first ' Goth' band
