Hey everyone! This was by far one of my favorite videos to film here in Manila. The people living in Tondo were so friendly and really made us feel welcome. We cant blame the passport bros starting their families here because women in the west wants a rich and a chad husband until they are in their forties and still not married because they cant get one and men are leaving for asia to get a wife and become a husband and a dad.

I've been 5 times in the Philippines and the first time 2013 everybody warned me to go to Tondo and not even Taxi drivers wanted to bring me there. So I've got there on my own and had lots of fun and met only very nice persons. Lots of them started talking to me and at the end a bunch of kids followed me when I was walking around. It's often said that those who are deemed less desirable tend to be the friendliest folks around. Conversely, the elite and upper middle class tend to come across as snobbish and unfriendly. However, if you spend more time in my country and venture out into the provinces or countryside, you'll encounter some of the warmest and most hospitable people on the planet.
It is better to go to Tondo on Weekends and Holidays... where kids don't have class and are busy roaming on the streets... It is their Playground .... aside from basketball courts....Kids are respectful and say thank you when given something.... but a few are not well mannered... like the kid who want you to say bad words.. and the other kid told you not to say those words....but in general they are kind and happy.😊

I think in the day its great but never seen anyone do night time in Tondo. The Philippines in general is awesome, they are loving people and so welcoming and always offer food and drinks
wow thank you @Journey of Josh to come in my home town . hope you have a good day and good experience there salamat God bless to all
Thank goodness the comment section is open this time. When greeting, say “kamusta” or “musta”. No one really says “mabuhay”, except maybe for tourism delegates to non-locals and pageant contestants to non-locals.
It's kumusta and not kamusta. Kamusta is a slang way of saying it,
UA-cam kept turning off the comments for some reason 😞 Thanks though, I have been made aware of this by many people now haha
@@TheJourneyofJoshMabuhay is translated in English as a greeting of "hooray!" of welcome means "Long Live!" :) ❤️
Mabuhay = Long Live ❤️ :)
each town in the Philippines is called a barangay (pronounced barang guy) so whenever you are in a new place you can ask anong barangay ito which means what barangay is this
Thanks for the info! I know this now and will be using the word in upcoming videos 😊
@@TheJourneyofJosh each town is divided into barangays
Very nice Josh to treat the kids 😊
We all need a Josh-Conor kind of friendship!!!! I hope you guys can visit Cebu this January, Sinulog is gonna happen
To me there haven't been any dangerous situation at all. It's been nice watching your vid, good job on that 👍
This is what I'm waiting for Josh
Hope it is worth the wait! 😊
@@TheJourneyofJosh always worth the wait I hope you will have a lot of videos in the Philippines cause there's a lot of valuable information in your videos. I hope that I will see your journey not just in Manila but all around the Philippines especially the provinces to see how cool they are.
Joshy Washy you have so much to learn ! 😎😎😎
Im from the province of the philippines and i was so shock with crowded street with so many children in tondo.
I love this!
So happy to hear that!
Love this vlog you share your generosity to the kids❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh josh what happened to that lady 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Your like a hero that just come out 🤣🤣🤣 great vlog josh 😆👍👍
Pretty sure it was a weekend, we purposely wanted to go when there was no school haha. We just got lucky it was Father’s Day! 😄

hey Josh, If I could suggest, you guys make an effort to write on a piece of paper like a cut card size by a hundred and keep in your pocket. That way you could give those to people asking for the name of youtube your channel. Easy and for sure they will look for it once they have your name on a piece of paper that you gvae them. Just a suggestion.
Instant celebrity❤❤❤❤❤❤
So it seems 😂❤️❤️
