    Hi. I have a Nikkor 200mm f4 AIS lens which has fungus in the rear element between the 2 glass lenses. The rear element block unscrews out after taking off the mount with the 5 screws. However, I cannot disassemble the rear element block. There are slots for using a lens spanner wrench which I don't have but it seems absolutely welded together. Is it likely there is a glue which I need to dissolve first? Many thanks Andy

      Most probably there is some glue that need dissolving. Use isopropyl alcohol. Best.

      @@diyextravaganza iam using a non alcoholic len cleaners from my optometrist. But the tissue I am using are sensor wipes. Should I try lens tissues instead?

    • @diyextravaganza
      @diyextravaganza  Рік тому +1

      Hi, I don't know what the difference between both is. I guess sensor wipes work as well, anyway, you'll always have dust unless you do the cleaning on a clean room, you need a hand blower to remove those tiny specks. Cheers.

      @@thaitran4527 it depends on the cleaner I guess, I have tried isopropyl alcohol alone and it leaves traces. Best
