I've never met in person any Portuguese but when I started computering decades ago I had a Portuguese pen pal. She told me about her family and she was so nice. You're the second. I had 2 German and one Japanese email friend also long ago. I adore foreigners. I love accents and try to figure out where they're from. They're so cool to talk to. I love videos like this to see your cities. They're prettier.
You've learned new ways of doing things. But you can never take your Portuguese heritage out despite expanding your horizons. I don't know about the history of your country but it's in you nonetheless and I bet it's a rich one. It was 1968 when I was 9 that the family visited Toronto Canada. I remember the people were nice. Granted we never lived there and only there for a week but I'm American. I look at myself as an American because I was born and live here. But I don't always agree with our politicians. I don't rah rah our petty little wars we've been involved in. I'm not in any political party and I don't vote because politicians will say anything to get elected. Here people say well since you don't vote you don't have the right to complain. Well I do anyway because I complain and voters haven't done a smash up job because they vote for the improvement of themselves not others and nothing is ever improved. Am I less American? Nope because despite my not following the herd I'm American because I was born here. There's nothing wrong with you. You'll always be Portuguese and don't follow the crowd. Well that's my take. I don't look at you and your wife and kids by what country you're born in or moved to and moved back. I look at you all as really nice people. And that in the end is what matters at least to me. I don't know anything about my European heritage which spans Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Hungary, Germany and I only take the good from each whatever they are. I won't put it aside. I don't even know what assimilation means here. I've never lived anywhere else. I'm American but proud of all the combined countries in me from both sides. Well that's my take on things.

I would say that our cities are older and that’s why they have this pretty old style. More movies like this will come in the future😃
@@RabbitTales1 cool! Looking forward to them.
