2 tsp dried oregeno
1 tsp dried basil
1 bay leaf
2 15 oz. cans diced tomatoes

Place onions in bottom of slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients. Cover. Cook on low 8 hours. Serve over hot spaghetti (I used rigatoni pasta).

I've seen chefs recommend putting your onion in the freezer for a few minutes. Take it out and dice. The other thing of note is if you handle enough onions in your life the effect is not as bad.
Looks delish! I put onions in the fridge before cutting them or wear glasses while cutting.
Like google glasses?
I put mine in fridge too. I find it helps a lot.
Lol, not Google glasses, my prescription ones. It reduces the amount of tears
You are so my girl because anything in the crockpot is definitely fall food in my opinion too 🥰 great video my dear 😘 thx for the Inspo
Thanks! I agree to the crockpot!
I am very sensitive to chopping onions so bad so that I can’t see by the time I’m done. I heard putting your onions in the freezer for 15 minutes before you chop them will help with the tears. And it does. I do that all the time and I don’t tear up much at all after they are frozen for a bit.
Oh man that's awful Cindy. I would totally hate that. I'll have to try putting them in the freezer next time!
I like the sound of your recipe so I’m going to try it only I have to use drum sticks cuz that’s what I have on hand
Yes!! Drumsticks will work! Enjoy!!
Love you girl!
Love ya more! You keep doing YOU! I'm seriously going to start trying some of these wonderful recipes on the collab!
I put the onion in the fridge maybe an hour or so before use. Supposed to stop the gas from reaching the eyes.
That looks soooo yummy!!!!! I love using my crockpot this time of year!
Me too!! My crockpot is my dear dear friend of mine lol
I'll agree to that lol
Looked amazing dee. Xx
Thanks Pat!!
Love ❤️ easy and delicious 😋
So easy!!! AND so delicious!!! Thanks for watching Bonnie! Have a wonderful day!
I always add red wine.
This looks delicious...very Italian! 🇮🇹 😍
It was really delicious!
Looks delicious Dee! TFS.😊 💖 👍 🍁 🍂 🍁 🍂 🌻
It was so delicious and EASY to make!
Looks so delicious 😋
It really turned out incredibly delicious and so darn easy!!!! A total recipe keeper for my family!
@@DeeLovelyLife I'm sold. I going to try to make it in my Instant Pot.
Buy onion goggles from Amazon. Priscilla of “Pots, Pans, and Priscilla” uses them. She is extremely sensitive to onions and she swears by them. I’ve been meaning to order some.
ONION GOOGLES??? I didn't know they had something like that. That is too cool!
I keep my onions in refrigerator and they never bother me when I cut them up.
Ahhhh!! That's a good suggestion!
rinse your onion in cold water before cutting to keep your eyes from watering
Looks good. Nice Cutco knife you have there. At 4:55 in the video you say ' two cans of diced tomatoes' but your written recipe says one can of diced tomatoes. I'm going with two cans. Also the written recipe doesn't specify the can sizes ( e.g. 8 oz. , 15 oz. , etc. ) for the diced tomatoes or the tomato sauce. I will print it out and use your can sizes in the video. Thanks for sharing. Thumbs up!
Yes we love Cutco knives! They're really wonderful to use, and hard to use any other brand lol. Thank you for the catch! I corrected the ounces in the description box to : 2 15 oz. cans diced tomatoes! I hope you enjoyed this recipe just as much as we did!!
New Subbie here, Dee! :). Looking forward to getting acquainted! This recipe looks delicious! Blessings to you!
Thank you so much Amber! I will be making this more often! Super fun seeing everyone's videos in the collab!
@@DeeLovelyLife Yes it is fun! Nice to get fresh ideas!
Looks good. But you didn't add any salt. ???
Very little afterwards.😜
no need to add salt when you're using highly processed can food.....lol....Americans
@@juliesmee6467 At least we can form proper sentences. LOL
Rinse onion in cold water. Place a small piece of bread, in your mouth while cutting. It works. I don't understand why....Can NOT wait to try this recipe.
