I think Drake’s best bet is to pull out another Back to Back by making his next diss a hit record. If he can just get a couple lines off that stick in people’s heads and pair it with a catchy hook, he might be able to take it. Because when you look at it, Back to Back really wasn’t like a SCATHING record or anything, but it was a great song with some memorable punchlines like “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?”
nah i disagree, back 2 back was highkey pretty scathing. especially because it was a club track. meek and kendrick are two very different artists, part of why b2b hit so hard was because meek was known as a club rapper and he got outdone in his own arena. someone said push ups was a record made for drake fans, but euphoria was a record made for drake. if drake comes with a club record, his fans will eat it up but everyone else will give kendrick the w. if he wants to one up this he really gotta come with a different angle.
