  • A relaxing a scenic video of the Pryor Mountain Wild horses. Just a day in the life as they enjoy their freedom in the Pryor Mountains.
While it is great that for now the Pryor mountain herd is enjoying their freedom, The McCullough Peaks herd is losing theirs.
On Monday January 22, 2024 a year old filly lost her life at the hands of the BLM during a Bait and Trap removal.
The filly sustained a fatal head injury, The BLM is not being transparent on the reasons why this young filly lost her life.
In addition to the death was the removal of Sky Dancer, a 4 month old filly, too young to be away from her mother, Bandero, a 5 month old Colt (again way too young to be removed). and Brumby a 2 year old Stallion just entering the highlight of his life.
The removal of these young wild horses shows the brutality and carelessness that the BLM brings to the McCullough Peaks roundup. All in the name of more cattle.
Below are links of the current situations and a way that you can help save these and other wild horses.

Wow! Never seen a horse color like the marbled one. Colors almost striped from the back down.....very unusual!

So tough reading about the McCullough Peaks herd. We live on a difficult planet. On the other hand, your video was very nice to watch. Well done.

The removal of those foals that still need their mothers has all the wild horse advocates fired up, including myself. I have spend the better part of 2 days researching and drafting letters and getting phone numbers to call. I may just be one voice, but I can't give up on them.

Thanks! I wish I had enough footage for one more but I left the range early in the morning the next day because there were hunters everywhere.

I hope to go up in June but not sure of the dates yet. I’ve been following the Pryor wild horse center facebook posts to keep up on the new arrivals.
