The song's assurance in spite of oppression comforts my soul.
The video brings a deep, heavy, sorrow in my heart.
May we never return to a time where we were judged by our outside. But rather, by who we are & how we treat our fellow human.
For we are ALL created in the image of Yahweh.
By Loving one another, we are loving our creator.
For there is no greater law.
never indeed be judged by the cover, but by the content, of your soul
I have listened to this song over 4 times. I keep holding back tears I'm an African born and raised but now living in the states. I just wonder sometimes I wish our ancestors knew what they really wanted from us I wish we would have fought for each other instead of against one another. We still do to this day and don't even realize how much we hate ourselves we are such a hurt people and don't even know where to begin to heal. As I watch this I'm ashamed of myself I'm so taken up by our freedoms I cant imagine not being able to escape ur troubles living on constant fear and fear. I'm so sorry to my brother's and sisters and family that had to go through this and to all the descendents I pray the lord mends the still open wound of oppression. God help your people
So brave you to admit tha trew to all this. X
I don’t subscribe to any religion at all, but this joint here hits you 💪🏾
Jesus himself didn’t like religion, he liked truth ❤
That choir is love exponentially amplified
No one feels our pain like we (black people)do , period in every instrument playing, the choir singing and the reverend’s voice
The movie Priscilia brought me here 3/16/2024 ❤🖤💚
🙏🙏🙏
Nobody knows...
God knows us , He knew us before we were in our mothers womb.
He knows our sorrows and our every pain. Nobody knows us like God does.❤
Привет ! Я из России (Russia) услышал случайно мелодию которая мне плнравилась . Великолепный хор и голос . Я тут же её решил найти (Sрazam) и вот я тут .
I SIMPLY LOVE THIS SONG! ESPECIALLY THE YOUTH CHOIR IN THE BACKGROUND
THIS IS A REALLY LIVING WITNESS SONG! THANK YOU LORD JESUS.
The movie Alice with Keke Palmer and Common brought me here.
Yeah that's how I got here
Same
Same
Alice brought me here
Our ancestors went through so much!😔
I didn't see any films with this as part of a soundtrack. I just stumbled here, choir began and my eyes closed, then I heard the wonderful pastor, musicians and amazing youth choir. I don't know why I never heard this during the 70s (my teen & early adult yrs).
Perfectly beautiful 💜
Made me cry the minute the voices started...
I was watching Hunters (with Al Pacino, Logan Lerman) and this song was played as the camera zooms in on a subway train, to introduce the character Jerricka Hinton played: A Detective from New York City, she's standing there in the crowded train, this song played, it was so.... appropriate - and inspiring! The show is set in '77 and this song came out in '70, but I felt the Timelessness of the song, it went backwards and forwards in time but was rooted to where she was... and who she was; someone 'Good' and 'strong' it really hit home about the journey and progress of African Americans, such an upful tune!
Me too bro 😂
Strangely, I remembered a CROWDED Train but it was Empty - I think I composited a scene from Joker - and there was a Flasher whom she saw off with aplomb!!
Hunters was an incredible show and I feel like nobody saw it.. such a shame. The sound track for both seasons was incredible.
My fav show in 2022 was His Dark Materials.
@@BaseballnCrypto Agreed! I thought the first season was exceptional, but I found the second wasn't as good...
HDM isn't my jam but Hunters was in my top 3 of 2022
Same here! And i Loved it instantly 💯👌
I have no agenda, all I know is this is fantastic music, love and peace to all especially in these difficult times 💕
Praise God!! He can use anything to get his Glory. Even Winning Time.
This hit different! Chi town choir's are cold! Glory!
God is singing with the Pastor's lips! 99.9 percent of living beings can't name their favourite song! Well - i can! tbh im only 35 yo and 1st time when i heard it was during watching Amazon TV Show Hunters...after 10 sec - i just - wait what !?
So fucking heart wrenching seeing the hate evil and pain 💔 literally tears shed over the inhumanity, breaks my heart
Изумительно....Нет слов....
Je vous salue Marie 🙏 pleine de grâce ❤ ! Merci seigneur Jésus ! Que ton règne vienne que ta volonté soit faite sur la terre comme au ciel ! AMEN
