I grew up in Perth's southern suburbs and crossing the Narrows Bridge northbound, regardless of transport mode, is always a thrill. Travelling city-ward southbound via the Mitchell Freeway is the complete opposite experience with views of of Perth's much less attractive "backside".

sorry being a nerd here, it is underground not subway, we use small subducted road access underneath train lines as a 'subway' (Bayswater Subway is an example and the City West one too).
