I love ghost towns! Two yrs ago I came across and abandoned farm home site in Alberta. Old buildings still standing. Was sooo cool! It's on a video on Boho Blue Van.

My fav town in southern Saskatchewan is Eastend. Great campground with super friendly attendant who moved there from Nelson. Dinosaur Museum and Wallace Stegner House. Check him out. Famous author who used to live in Eastend as a boy

I've never had a deer burger. Is that meat expensive?
It should be... premium yum.
It was given to me
I'm not a big fan of deer meat since the fat solidifies as it cools down, (sort of like lamb) yet I still love lamb but not it's fat unless the fat is charred to a crisp on the BBQ or under a broiler, the meat should be medium to medium-rare.
The best wild meats I've had were; squirrel, frog legs, rabbit and properly cleaned beaver.
I say properly cleaned because leaving any fat whatsoever on the beaver meat will render the meat unedible as it gives off a very pungent flavor and odor. When properly prepared and cook it's one of the sweetest 🍖 meats and somewhat similar to squirrel meat.
The only meat I really strongly disliked was Emu, to me it tastes liverlike and I'm not a big fan of liver.
I'm hoping to someday try fresh, well prepared cod tongues and cheeks and likewise crocodile.
I've had them before but they weren't fresh nor were they properly prepared, hence they were mediocre.
I've also eaten other uncommon meats, what else have you had and what's the best way to prepare/cook /serve them?
