It's obvious that they are padding the numbers. This shouldn't be allowed as why would ABA allow exhausted lawyers perform legal duties beyond their capabilities?
They need to unionize. Problem now is, law schools consciously try to break class solidarity, both internally and externally. There’s no reason why a BigLaw associate should be thought of as different than any other skilled tradesman.

I mean....if anyone did the math, what would the associates hourly rate be? My hunch is less than 50 per hour
Marginal returns are an essential consideration for a worker tied to his or her labor. Hourly billings do not account for marginal returns.
