Well that's not completely true as in the winter of 2021-2022, there was a lot of snow (over 30 cm on the ground) as well as record cold temperatures down to minus 25 degrees celcius. It's a lot of snow for the past two winter seasons in a row.
Problem in Edmonton,when a snow plow opens the road and snow gets on someones driveway they complain and the City listens to them. Thst's why it's so slow getying anything acvomplished.

About 2-3 feet depending on where you live in metro van
2008 was the last big dump and 2001 before that
outside electricity wiring is unsafe
but really hard to update it

Underground lines are up to 10 times more costlyIn my opinion, we won't see big changes in 30 years
