우리는 안국역 부근의 한 음식점에서 시작하여 안국역과 북촌한옥마을, 삼청동을 거쳐 종로 광화문으로 향합니다.

Hello my friends, I'm Nathan, Seoul Walker 🚶🏻🤓
Today, let's walk on the night of Seoul, where heavy snow fell last Wednesday night. We start at a restaurant near Anguk Station in Seoul and go to Jongno-gu district via Anguk Station, Bukchon Hanok Village, Samcheong-dong and Gyeongbokgung Palace.
A massive snow storm on Wednesday night brought chaos to roads and highways across Seoul,... leaving numerous cars stranded and abandoned overnight on icy streets.
On top of that,.. the sub-freezing temperatures have caused the ice to take hold, making this morning's commute even more difficult.
The heavy snow that fell across large parts of South Korea on Wednesday night sparked chaotic scenes on the nation's roads and caused traffic gridlock.
This included millions of people heading home from work in Seoul.
Among the hardest-hit areas,... many drivers in southern Seoul were forced to abandon their cars overnight,... as they were unable to move due to the slippery conditions.
Others cars crawled through the streets,... some barely moving for hours.
Citizens and police officers were seen pushing cars,... even buses.
However,... due to temperatures dropping to as low as minus-17 degrees Celsius,... roads are frozen,... which could cause problems for those headed to work on Thursday morning.

I was born in SK and adopted at a young age. These videos cure the homesickness i didnt even know i had.
S. Korea was very poor so be understanding what your parents had to give up for an adoption. Probably did it for best for you. Probably they want you to have a chance to have a better life which they couldn't give to you back then. I remember many kids didn't have just rice to bring for a lunch. After Japan invade colonized they took everything they can use out of then after became independent, Korean war broke out. Many Korean people suffered and so much sacrificed so much. There're so much traumatic stories to most Korean. Most important you are safe, and healthy, be thankful. One day hope you can visit learn about Korean history and tasting delicious Korean food. Peace and take care of yourself.

고즈넉한 한옥길에 눈이 소복소복 내리고 담벼락 기왓장에 눈이 섬섬히 쌓이니 마음또한 풍족하도다.
우리나라밖에 표현이 안되는 말로 눈내리는 우리한옥길을 표현해봤습니다.
와 정말 예뻐요.. 눈 내리는 한옥.. 서울에 살아서 자주 가는 곳이지만 눈 내릴때 가본 적은 없는데 꼭 가봐야겠어요
예술적인 한옥과 우렁찬 개소리의 하모니 정말 옛날 생각나네요
눈 보기 힘든 나라에 살면서 한국의 눈오는 밤거리를 보니... 정말 한국이 그리워집니다. 눈이 내릴때면 유독 사방이 고요해지죠. 눈이 소복이 쌓인 길을 걸을 땐 뽀드득 소리와 함께 마음도 둥실떠오르곤 했었네요. 코로나가 얼른 끝나서 한국에 가고싶습니다. 먼곳에서 한국을 그리워하고 있습니다.

living in south india, I envy every people who get to encounter snow during winter. Ever since I was a child, it is my dream to watch the snow falling that too during winter season!
My first experience going to Seoul was in the early 2000s (first time out of the US), I was in my early 20s. I still remember getting out of the taxi in the middle of the night after arriving and walking around streets very similar to the first part of this video. After an entire day of being in airports, I was so amazed to walk around and experience an entirely different country and culture. Also, being from the US I was generally "trained" to be suspicious of everyone in the wee hours of the night.. people walking around at that hour weren't always doing so for the best reasons. I quickly learned about the safety that exists in Korea - nobody is going to rob you, bother you, yell at you, etc. Wish I could go back.
I visited Korea in my 20s 20 years back too. Wish I can visit it again this Dec....

Как я люблю эти улицы ,очень, очень, очень и как хочется ходить как ты.Корея в моем сердце и люди.Каждая улица, каждый дом,это не могу описать словами,молча смотрю,Корея моя любовь .Я работал в Корее с 2003 по 2006 по контракту в Чонгчонгбукто ,г.Чонгжу.За эти 3 года побывал почти везде в Корее был в Пусане,Инчхоне,Тегу,Сеуле, Чонане,Масане,Чинчоне,Чунжо,Кангрынг,Ансане многих, многих местах по выходным ездил всюду. Люблю Корею и корейцев. Сам с Узбекистана и узбек.Хочу с семей ещё раз побывать в Корее, мне очень нравится, всё всё всё в Корее!

This feels more like Christmas than my hometown in Germany during winter, even though there is barely any decoration. But the snow, which we don't really get any more, and especially the peacefulness and lack of stressed out people on the streets give it a much more Christmas-like atmosphere than what I experience in my city. Plus, the regular street lights in Seoul look pretty christmassy already, even without additional decoration.
It's a shame that Germany haven't got that much snow anymore, no matter the reason...
More than Half of population in South Korea were Christians so Christmas is a thing in Korea. well huge decreasing of christianity nowdays tho

I'm a London guy who watches a huge amount of Korean serials on N'Fix (about 500 hours, so far) and this video is amazing. Some of the shows move so fast and you get just snatches of the locations but this is a great way to take in Seoul for real. Thank you for taking a long walk in the atmospheric conditions of a light snowfall and sharing with us. As for the jerk who thinks its pathetic and boring - he needs to try some other kind of chill pill if this is not doing it for him.
Its kind of sad you hate your history and people so much you had to flood your country with other cultures and begin worshipping people you used to conquer. Nothing sadder and pathetic than a groveling white man for the west. Be good if we just died off soon.
Bro you're lucky you live in London, UK(also a developed country) and can go to Seoul whenever you like and you will have no visa problem or anything, me watching from a 3rd world country who knows we can't ever go there. Our country is filled with corruption, no basic human rights and country going down the tubes. It is like a dream for people like us to go and live not in seoul but any stable country where we can atleast get clean drinking water and Electricity.

A tip for you my friend on allowing yourself to consume an interesting show you like. Simply just pause every once in a while and observe the whole paused frame right there and enjoy it. I learned that when I had weak internet a few years back. Instead of getting upset I studied the screen and couldn’t have enjoyed the shows better and I watch Anime.. subbed! 👌🏻👌🏻
This is one of the best videos I have ever seen. So relaxing and I just love the beautiful older homes, businesses and little nooks and crannies to explore.
개인적으로 서울에서 최고 place는 잠실도 아니고, 대치동도 아니고, 반포도 아니고, 목동도 아니고, 용산도 아니고, 상암도 아니고 이 동네 종로, 특히 북촌, 가회동, 삼청동 등 입니다. 화려함은 더 화려함을 갈망하게 합니다만, 역사와 전통은 자신을 돌아보게하고, 다른 곳과 비교하지 않게 합니다. 이 동네는 한국 고유의 정서, 차분한 감성을 느끼게 합니다.
동감해요 그래서 제 꿈은 북촌에서 사는 것ㅠ

우리가 도시를 지어도 너무 대규모 아파트 단지나 인위적인 공원 오피스텔 형태의 시멘트 건물들..
이런데 지나다가보면 .. 사람들이 여유있게 머물고 싶은 마음이 없음. 한국 사람들은 요즘 그렇게 많이 짓고 그런게 좋다고 헤헤 거리는데..
스위스나 북촌이나 샌프란시스코나 고풍스러운 언덕길같은데 이런데 가면 머물고 싶지
내가 지자체 행정가나 정부관계자나 도시행정관련집행부서라면.. 절대로 자연친화적이고 인간친화적인
도시 설계를 하겠음. 울나라 애들은 그런 심미적인 전문 소양이 부족하거나 모르거나 비전공이거나
그래서 그냥 아무 생각없이 도시계획하는거 같음.
돈이 좀 더 들더라도 자연친화적인 소재나 재료로 돌담길이나 건물을 만들고..도로를 깔고
약간은 비효율적이라도 일부 구간은 일부러 빙둘러서 바벨탑같은 둘러서 올라가는 길에...화단을 세우고 조성하고..주위를 상업지구... 건물도 고풍스럽게 한옥지붕을 의무적으로

중앙고 앞을 지날때 순간 핑 하며 눈물이 돌앗다 너무 그립고 가보고싶은곳..아니 다시한국에 가서 살게된다면 다시 가서 살고싶은곳.. .1982년 ....가난햇지만 행복햇던 내 어린시절 ...매일 저학교앞을 지나다니며 놀앗던곳....그렇다 내가 살앗덧 영원히 내기억속에 잇는곳 종로라니...그것도 원서동...재동...삼청동... 많이 변햇지만 골목골목.. 거의 그대로이네 또 저렇게 눈이 오는날이면 동네 아이들과같이.헌장판 쪼가리나 버려진 비닐포대 같은걸 썰매마냥 타고 놀앗던 기억이 나네 .... 갑작스레 저곳을 보니 ..나이탓인가...너무 많은 추억이잇는 곳을 이런곳에서 마주하다니 참 희한하네 ..너무가보고싶다.. 언젠가 가게되면 내가살던 그집앞 골목길 계단에 앉아보고싶다....아마 난....이유모를 눈물을 흘리겟지만.... 어릴적 내친구 윤호 는 뭐하며 살까 ...

중앙고 근처 가회동 성당을 끼고 북촌 여기저기 너무나 좋아합니다. 저는 저런 좋은 동네가 고향은 아니고 변두리의 쓰러져 가는 슬레트집에서 어린 시절을 보냈지만, 서울의 정취가 남아있는 저곳이 제발 그대로 그 모습을 간직했으면 합니다. 왠지 눈물나네요. 행복하세요.

I lived in South Korea for 3 years, but in Gwangju and later Jingyo in the southern part of that country. It never snowed - not even once. I wish it had like in this video. Seeing this brings back a lot of happy memories of that country. I enjoyed the little shops and small streets. I wish all who live there now a happy life. Thanks for this posting.

I actually truly appreciate this, for so very many reasons. thank you so much for posting this video. I'm struggling with physical challenges there are many days I don't even get outside. Thanks for bringing me outside with you and helping to break things up for me when I'm bed bound it also motivates me a great deal to keep exercising while I'm in bed so that I will have that chance to get up and get out again. Superb. The whole walk took me about a week's worth of installments to complete. Like a good book. Thank you Seoul Walker for re-awakening treasured old memories of solitary walks in Inchon, Busan and Ulsan in the mid 1980's, where I acquired a lifelong love and respect for the Korean aesthetic. Now that I have finished this video, I wish only for the return journey, away from the noise, bustle and harsh angularity of the inner city, back toward the tranquil, silent beauty of the old town. Thanks again.
