Wandering Around Mexico All Night Rather Than Booking a Hotel

- After booking an awkward set of flights in order to save $205, I had an overnight layover in Cancun that I felt would be better spent wandering around rather than paying for a hotel/hostel to essentially take a nap.

Man you are brave, I wouldn’t walk in my own backyard at that time of night, glad to see you made it through this experience
this was a slow spiral into an oblivion of chaos
I used to do a lot of solo international traveling when I was in college. I used to do crazy things just for the cheapest option. You're making me both miss it and vehemently not miss it at the same time haha
I didn’t realize Cancun was such a loud party town every where you go. Even on the bus. With the lights and loud music, I was like, “what kind of bus is this? A party bus?” 😂
The bus was such a curveball. I guess that's just how Cancun rolls lol.
This channel is awesome! I love your travel challenges. So down to earth and throughly interesting. Thanks for the great content!
Thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoy the channel!
Woo! New upload
Awesome video Ewan! Happy to see that you utilized the R1 buses 😅
Thanks! I forgot how much you told me they were, but figured them out eventually.
@@ewannnawe Rome2rio app helps! In Mexico it was confusing on where the bus stops as they are oftentimes unmarked.
Mexico City is such a great place, like NYC in Mexico. I assume that it was Line 1 that was closed? It was when I went there back in October, messed up some commutes because I had to transfer like 2 more times.
Yep, it was Line 1. I think they've closed half of it for repairs at the moment and once that's complete they'll be closing the other half.
I have the same sleep pattern when I travel. It makes some of the Spirit/Frontier 45hr three-segment cheap fares seem oddly appealing.
Those are true character-building flights lol.
love this....watching you cope
why didn't you head for the beach....just sit and watch the water......sure some of the hotels had outdoor places to sit...yes..they might have been closed but maybe able to just sit on the sand for a while
Thanks! That was actually my original plan, but when I realized I'd have to get on the flight with all the sand I couldn't shake off, I decided against it.
love your videos...able to see places probably never ever see....
and you are so spontaneous. ...just go with it....
looking forward to your next adventure
@@0530evan Thanks so much! I really appreciate the support! I've filmed the next two adventures so far, and they're certainly something lol.
no cogobongo?? wow
Hearing "Coco Bongo" or "Señor Frogs" activates my fight or flight lol.
Come to New Mexico next!
I was actually in Silver City, NM for a few days in a video a while back! ua-cam.com/video/KddoN0FIV3k/v-deo.html

1. I was born just south of Silver City. My Mom was from the Mimbres Valley just east of Silver. 2. I remember the fire north of Silver that month.
3. What was the result of the Car problem?
@@strada5052 That’s awesome! I really liked your state! Hope you all were safe during those fires. The leaking coolant tank was eventually fixed and the car is running just fine again.
This whole concept was a very bad idea. There are bad people out at night, not just Mexico but everywhere. I hope you do not do this again.
I am the danger 😈
