What's fucked up about that is Zero:Hour is the only one I really played, then later found out it isn't considered part of the series. Fuck'em, it was damn good game, especially split screen.
@@mrfreeman1763 As far as I'm concerned DNF is non-canon bullshit and Zero Hour is the real sequel. I don't think any Duke fan is gonna have a problem with that.
@@NukeA6 the build from the 2001 trailer is actually done but randy said he's not releasing it unless he can put a price tag on it, even though he didn't work on it. Legally he can only release it for free.
+everett1911 There was never an issue with the N64s sound hardware. The problem with the N64 was the weak RCP and high latency rambus memory. It using cartridges was a double edged sword. On one hand it limited games from using lots of higher resolution textures, but on the other hand it prevented games from getting cutscene cancer.
+GGigabiteM Saying that though, this soundtrack consisted of prolonged samples of the songs themselves rather than the GM MOD.Files (MOD music, tracker music) which sampled individual sampled patches (soundbytes) & organized them into arrangements much like we do now but at extremely LOW res. & in mono. Which is why these game sound tracks have vast stereo imagery between the patches used. This track for instance obviously has live guitars used, recorded into cuts, looped & possibly affected inside the N64 SFX engine. The entire track here is in MONO. Shame really, that it couldn't replicate 16-Bit ACM Waveform CD Quality sound. The lack of dynamics stops this track from yielding a higher emotional content.
"No Remorse" by Metallica; that's what this sounds like to me. Supposedly, "At Doom's Gate" or "E1M1" from Doom ripped that song off too, but that's debatable, but with this song it's not. Great song though and a terrific game.
This music really takes me back man, almost shed one manly tear just thinkin about the good ole days back in 8th grade
perfect for home defence
"That's the kinda tail I don't need."
"Eww, what a temporal mess."
"In your service, lady."
"Time for the Sh** to hit the fan!"
"I don't know what it is, but I don't like it... *shoots*"
love this damn song man i played this game over and over as a kid
Now if only Duke Nukem Forever could be as good as Zero hour.

This is one badass track. Imagine a leather biker jacket and a sawed-off shotgun while charging into a nightclub in NY.

That first riff reminds me of this song Losers in the Game from Metal Church

Type o negative was the music behind this saw too many saying metallica had to say something
No way. I totally was thinking Type o negative when this game's soundtrack was playing in my head.
Where did you hear that? I can't find any information on who did the soundtrack anywhere.
Doesn't sound much like Type O Negative either...
I've heard on the internet that it was Megadeth, who knows...
