As an FYI, the 2013 Mac Pro only supports Thunderbolt 2, therefore the maximum output you are getting from each monitor is 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz) rather than full 5K resolution. Even though the About My Mac sections shows the displays' capable resolution, that's unfortunately not the actual output. You would need Thunderbolt 3 connections to be able to get 5K output.

    Your configuration is amazing!
I have an Ultrafine 5K (just one) connected to a Mac Pro 2013 (with D700 video graphics card), with Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter, and I'm facing many issues. Actually, it works, but after some time I start to have issues, likes horizontal lines flashing, and micro freezes. One friend of mine is having the same issue. I've done toons of tests (changing the adapter, changing the Thunderbolt port the display is connected...) but I have always the same issue. Therefore, I've seen that MacPro 2013 is no more on Apple compatibility list for the LG Ultrafine 5K... Any idea on the source of the issue?
    Thanks

Can anyone confirm that powering up the Mac Pro also turns the monitor on as well ? I got one of these yesterday and its driving me mad when i power up the Mac, nothing happens until i unplug the monitor and then reconnect it. Its annoying for every time i want to use the computer. I am on the newest firmware according to the LG App running Big Sur 11.1(Updated Yesterday) with no improvement and also tested on Catalina. Anyone got any ideas, they are most welcome.

are they working at 60hz or 30hz and how did you hook them up? I suppose you need two TB2 ports per display?

xyz S they are running at 60hz and I have three OEM black genuine Apple 2.0 thunderbolt cables, 1 per display and three thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapters that are also genuine Apple. If you don’t use genuine Apple cables and converters, it will not work. Thanks
