A two-time Oscar nominee for his work in “Silver Linings Playbook” and “American Hustle,” Cooper heads the cast, which also includes Sienna Miller (HBO’s “The Girl”), Jake McDorman, Luke Grimes, Navid Negahban and Keir O’Donnell.
Oscar-winning filmmaker Clint Eastwood (“Million Dollar Baby,” “Unforgiven”) is directing “American Sniper” from a screenplay written by Jason Hall, based on the book by Chris Kyle, with Scott McEwan and Jim DeFelice. The autobiography was a runaway bestseller, spending 18 weeks on the New York Times bestseller list, 13 of those at number one.
The film is being produced by Eastwood, Robert Lorenz, Andrew Lazar, Bradley Cooper and Peter Morgan. Tim Moore, Jason Hall, Sheroum Kim and Bruce Berman are serving as executive producers.
The behind-the-scenes creative team includes Oscar-nominated director of photography Tom Stern (“Changeling”); Oscar-nominated production designer James J. Murakami (“Changeling”) and production designer Charisse Cardenas; Oscar-winning editor Joel Cox (“Unforgiven”) and editor Gary D. Roach; and costume designer Deborah Hopper.
Opening December 25, 2014, Warner Bros. When I went on a CCF summer camp in 2015, we watched American Sniper when we had some time in the evening in which to do anything. I remember when we got to the end, we all stood up and saluted!
This is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. Everyone with their comments about how they think war is wrong should take their opinions somewhere else, this is an amazing movie.
All soldiers from every army should put down their weapons, go back to their families and let the politicians fight.

Jacob Smith He was a victim of a disgusting system, who happened to have a good shot. A person who enrolls in war, should also own up to their thoughts about what it means to protect. Those who are imprisoned for not enlisting are correct.

People say that Chris Pratt would have been a better choice as Kyle in this movie instead of Bradley because he has a closer resemblance to him, but as much as I like Chris Pratt I don’t think he could have delivered the same amount of emotions and sheer unhingeness that Cooper brought. Not trashing on Pratt but I think Bradley was the better choice.

Alright I am sick of hearing about how this is propaganda, this is an inspiring movie about a war hero that died for his country whilst protecting his men.
I get how people say that all life matters, and that the Americans shouldn't interfere, but they have the Largest military in the entire world, they have helped extremely many countries that are victims of dictation, And if there wouldn't have been any soldiers in countries such as Afghanistan the civilian casualties would be far greater then it is right now and the entire country would be concurred by the taliban. You might think it's the right way to solve such a terrible thing, but it is the only way.
-I'm not from the United States, I just get what their doing and although there has been things that they should not have done they have done most of it for the greater good.

the movie was well done in a cinamatic and acting perspective but the story, especially if it was a true story, deeply disturbs me.. how a person can be such a mindless drone that they feel no sympathy for the people they kill. It disturbs me deeply, as no matter how evil the enemy may seem to you they are still human and have motives, they have a history that made them think this way, they have a family.. etc. To assume your way of live is the best way is pure arrogance.
Just remember to never become a victim of blind patriotism. We blame nazis for followinng wrong orders. same goes for our soldiers. Condemn every wrong order. does not mater who gives it. don't let the emotional movie get to you.
