    I’m now looking at topo lake maps and adding waypoints with Navionics before I go to the lake...for the first time in my life.
    Thank you, thank you, sincerely thank you for all you do, Jonny.

    Excellent video on one of the toughest fishing conditions out there. Especially like the part about judging your fall rate on your baits. Such an obvious solution to find the fall rate when for 65 years I've just guessed.

    Your technique for calculating the fall rate is ingenious! I would never have thought of this simple technique. Thank you.

    Hey Megabass!! The boy wants a sponsorship! And you should give it to him! He’s one of the best tubers out there. And I do my research! Keep it up Jonny!

      Agree he deserves a sponsorship but he is correct about the bass being conditioned to seeing the keitech style swimbaits. On pressured water I get more bites on swimbaits that are not the keitech style. Just recently started using the spark shads and they are my new favorite.

      Johnny is my absolute hands down favorite. Next is Tyler's Reel Fishing. If you haven't checked him out, you need to. He and Johnny are alot alike, and both do an amazing job of delivering a ton of information in a relatively short amount of time. And they put it as simply as they can, so that most anyone can grasp exactly what they are saying.

    The fall rate technique helped me alot across the board. I have had tremendous luck lately with a KeiTech 4" easy shiner swimbait on the drop shot.

    Love my black maxes. I Have 2 that I've had for the longest of all my reels. And have landed many good fish with them. I agree . They are a good product for the money ,and work for most applications. I have heavy gear too.but these take a licking and keep on ticking.

    You need to try a Ledgehead swim bait head. It has a great system to keep your swim bait on the head really good. Take a look. They also have under spins. The weight is low or under the swim bait head for great movement. Great for ledge fishing.

    Great video ! I've been thinking of using swim baits more here on Rayburn this video pushing me to trying more...as to the black max reels that's all I use now .. They'll cast a mile and cleaning them regularly will give you several years and for the price it's hard to beat and the fish don't care.....lol... Thanks

    I went out to high rock lake NC today, and tried to apply everything I've learned,, but ALL OF THE FISH WERE SUSPENDED. IT WAS SO TOUGH.
    My buddy caught one on a senko shallow that was 7.7, after graphing and fishing the best looking spots on navionics all day... it was a tough day.

    The only issue I have with this guide is other anglers who will pull up to your hole that are consistently catching fish after you've been working so hard on graphing it. Do you have a guide for that Jonny?

  • @amals51
    @amals51 4 роки тому

    Thanks for all the great info Jonny! I have been throwing those spark shad on guppie heads, they seem to run pretty true. Also, what’s your opinion of the 360gt largo shad? Any experience with that swimbait? I’m finding a lot of fish setting up just the way you’re describing and showing here but the only thing they’ll eat is a drop shot roboworm worm! Water Temps are mid 70’s... I’m going to play around with the swimbait technique s you’ve outlined here, any other tips you might have for me to try would be greatly appreciated! Tight lines my friend!

    Does interference from other boats electronics hinder your ability to “read” your sonar ? Does that same type of interference affect down scan and side scan as well ?

    Awesome video! You should experiment more with underspins. Definitely one of my goto’s for the fall. I have never heard the fall rate for a bait explained like that before, brilliant! Have you used the Megabass Okashira Screwhead for the Hazedong Shad? Killer finese swimbait. Thanks
