Yeah, there’s pretty much Matt, and then, maybe, Cruise Fever and Harr Travel (but that guy is a little too overbearing since he’s a travel agent and he keeps trying to sell the viewer on his travel agency a BIT TOO HARD)
@@edvaira6891 that’s his job! I don’t think you have a clue how much money he invests in his videos and usually being one of the first on all new ships! Also if you ever used his travel agency you would never use any one else, complete class act.
Danny makes good videos for Harr Travel, very complete. I study the official blueprints and they're useful to me as they explore every space to help me mentally understand spaces in 3 dimensions. His knowledge is worth the few times he mentions it every video
This is the ship my husband and I will be on for our ten year anniversary vacation this upcoming June and I keep coming back to this walkthrough to build my anticipation. Thank you for such a detailed tour.
Thank you for the tour…i have not seen my son in 3 years since i moved to another state so we are taking the Mariner in Jan 22. It is always nice to get a view of the ship beforehand
Great orderly, well-paced, narrated (and most importantly well-filmed... so many tours I've seen are shaky and rushed to the point of nauseating) tour, Matt... I hope you find time to do one of these for every ship you go on!
I was actually on this cruise, it was very entertaining, lots of fun things, my favorite was the ice-skating show! First we stop at Nassau, Bahamas and then our final stop was coco cay! The water slides were so fun!
We've cruised this ship many times in over twenty years and our favorite. While not a huge ship, it's perfect. Glad to see that it was saved from the scrappers torch. It was looking a little rough back in 2016.
Excellent tour of Mariner of the Seas, Matt! Is this really your first full ship tour ever? Job well done, thank you! Looking forward to more in the future :)
Great tour Matt! Mariner is my most-sailed Royal ship and you showed areas I’ve never seen! Thanks! Really makes me look forward to my next trip on Mariner!
Great Job !! I think this is the BEST Full video of any ship I have ever seen , and I've seen a lot since this Pandemic and I love Royal Caribbean, I will share this out to my family. Thanks, look forward to seeing more from you.
My last cruise was on the Mariner with my sister right before the pandemic, February 2020. I had a great time but I felt like the ship was kinda small for me. Had a great time especially showing off my moves on the flow rider
I just got off of this ship. At 100% capacity the crew did an amazing job & always with a warm smile. It is time for RC to update Mariner’s 2002 interiors. The cabins are especially worn out. But everything was very clean.
Great tour, Matt! Thanks for sharing with us. We are looking at RCCL for our next cruise (have only sailed Carnival to date) and we want something smaller and less crowded than Oasis class, but still with lots of fun options for both adults and teens. Mariner is beautiful and this may be the choice if we can find the dates we needs. Appreciate all you do!
Mariner was my first ship as an adult and I am so excited to get back to her in October!! Thank you so much for the covid-era updates to operations too Matt-- I was curious about how the buffet was going to work when we sailed!
I’ve been on there I think it was 2009 or 2010. It was….well I can’t find the perfect words for it but we saw our cabins on a short term basis. I know it’s even better now since then. I have to enjoy this one. I do nothing but Royal. Now I’m reading yours again and realize that it’s now November lol. Well, I know you had fun then.
@@CarolBennettGA I really did. Was not expecting to enjoy a weekend cruise since I am always on longer cruises but I actually had fun and am anxiously awaiting the next weekend cruise in about 10 days!
This is awesome Matt. Hope you can do some of the other ships as it helps getting your expert thoughts and being able to see what each ship has to offer on video rather than a marketing snipnet.
My first post shut down cruise will be on Mariner in December! Thanks for the great tour! Coincidentally, this was also my last cruise before the shut down.
Thank you! This us great stuff and very enjoyable. We are cruising with two other couples for the first time for all of us together and we all had many questions. I would highly recommend anyone going on this cruise to watch this! A couple times. :)
Matt, your slow, smooth videography, and music selection mixed with your calmed down tone made for the most enjoyable tour of this ship. Thank you! You and your team rock. 🤘
We went on this cruise for my senior class trip in high school. The highlight was Chops for me. I didn’t really enjoy being on a ship, but I think it was because we had to share inside staterooms and it was through my school.
That pizza though, it was delicious. Our last night, we got like, 5 pizzas (it was for 7 people and 4 of them were teenager boys) and brought them up to the pool deck and ate while watching a movie. We had to stop for at least a slice every day. Mariner was my first cruise August 2022. It was a great experience, not too small, not too large. Lots of activities to do on sea days, and we had several of them since we headed down to the southern Caribbean. I’d love to get back on her soon, but we’ll at least be going on Serenade OTS in a week and a half.
We just recently completed a cruise on the Mariner. We wanted to take a cruise to Bermuda because we went there 46 years ago on our honeymoon. Mariner had the itinerary we liked, but questioned the condition of an older ship. This video gave us the confidence we needed to go ahead and book the cruise. Especially knowing that you commented that this was one of your favorite ships. Unfortunately we cannot agree with this. It was the worst experience we have ever had with Royal. Firstly, our balcony state room was in horrible shape. We had problems with the state room door lock. Balcony door sounded like it was metal on metal making it difficult to open and close. Weather strip was falling off. Handle was loose. Cabinet drawers were horrible. One drawer was off its rails. 4 drawers would barely open and close. Secondly, our MDR experience was so disappointing. Dining has always been a cruise highlight for us. We even defended the food and the MDR dining experience when others bad-mouthed it. But by the end of the week on the Mariner, we felt like we didn't even want to eat there. Service staff was great as usual. To be brief, the chicken plates were terrible. Specifically the Cordon Bleu. No cheese visible and struggled to find any ham. Chicken Marsala had no mushrooms and no wine taste. Other tasteless foods as well. Other people around us were sending their plates back, too. Each night we would compare the MDR food to what was being served in the Windjammer that night. We pretty much came to the conclusion that we would have been better off eating in the Windjammer. We will still cruise with Royal again because we are loyal to Royal, but sadly we cannot recommend the Mariner.
I went on my first and so far only cruise on Mariner back in 2009. Had a blast on a short cruise down the west coast of mexico. I've always meant to do another one some day.
Hi, Matt, great tour! Haven't tried Mariner yet, but I'm ready to move up from Radiance Class. Have Freedom & Harmony booked this fall. You mentioned ice shows can be polarizing? Why?
Can I ask when this was filmed? There’s so many open chairs! Trying to get a sense of how crowded my ship will be in December (first week of December on Mariner)
Such a wonderful State of the art cruise ship, I am so excited and also looking forward to my upcoming cruise on Mariner of the Seas on November 2. Just 57 more days to go!!!
I honestly booked this ship for the first time 2 nights ago for next month and was hoping you'd have a tour or some sort of review up. Right on time Matt Thank you :)
Oh my gosh thank you, this is a perfect tour. My family and I are trying to decide which sailing / ship to choose for our vacation and this was so informative!
Great ship tour Matt. I have a reservation on hold with my travel agent at the moment with a crazy good deal for a balcony. I do have a question regarding sodas. Are the freestyle machines currently operating under COVID protocols? I would assume so if they have a sanitizer station nearby but I saw them in the royal promenade. I don't drink alcohol but love me some vanilla flavored barqs root beer. We are looking at going in Feb 2022 so I'm sure things could change
Do you feel the ship moving a lot, going on this cruise in January and I have motion sickness but I’m unsure of whether to be worried or not as it looks like a massive ship
I know this is silly but I wanted to say huge thank you for all your videos. I had some anxiety about cruising for the first time, and your videos are so helpful with information I didn't even think to ask.
Is the suite area on the pool deck for all suite guest or just guests in certain level suites? From the signage it looks like a certain level but Matt didn't specify. Thanks in advance.
Taking my boys and their girlfriends on Mariner in November. We were supposed to go on Allure last December, so I am really looking forward to this long awaited cruise. Thanks for the tour.
Thank you. How can I find out if the ice skating is available for passengers on this ship? This trip is for my 13 year old grandson and we live in Florida....this would be the highlight for him.

I also like Port Monkeys as Gareth provides some unique insights which no one else does, as well as for other ships
so true. i always want to see everything on the cruise before i go

Matt, great ship tour. Mariner was our first cruise ship 13 years ago and started our love for cruising. The tour was like seeing an old friend. 🥰☺️
Foreal I took the Mariner back in the mid 00s

This was fantastic! It is great to hear from the fan’s source for all things Royal Caribbean what there is to do on a Royal Caribbean ship!
I went to that ship for our school trip back in 2016!!! it was the best experience I will never forget!!! I will never forget captain's night!!!

Did four days on the Mariner last week. The cruise was wonderful and the crew was outstanding.
How was the food ? Was it buffet style ?
were passengers allowed to ice skate?
