Not many people have the strength to even reach out for help , not only did she reach out for help posing interview not only did she end up reaching out for help but she ended up publicly exposing an abuser. I'm pretty sure that that's a pretty strong woman.

I noticed that too, And that's sad. Being lost behind what they think is 'hard love' is dangerous. She's not okay with it and she's not justifying it but she's pacifying the situation which leads to her forgetting about her self- worth and self-health.

I agree. All women should protect themselves. Black women have to battle so much when considing and after these DV situations. In the black community women are shamed and often taught that it is wrong to call the police on black men who have harmed them. Sometimes it is indirectly taught. I know many black women who are unlearning what they have been taught. If someone is harming you or attempted to unalive. Call the police.
I’m making my comment based on this specific episode. If it was a case of a man being abused i would have said the same thing, to call the police. I am a black women and i see this happen a lot in the community. DV is brushed under the rug in stead of handled with the right authority
