Elohim is plural of eloah, and while it can mean a divine group (angels), all instances I was able to quickly look up are best translated as God Himself, having plurality as the trinity. Deuteronomy 6:4 often being referenced in regards to that claim. I'd be curious to see if anyone can give a verse of elohim used in the Bible to refer to something other than God, just as a point of curiosity.

Yes
I would say the only divine council is the trinity, father son and spirit and elohim is only a name for the one true God father son and spirit

Even satan is part of the council. It's biblical

Not feeling this answer. I know Heiser and others hold this view but IMO it’s not scripturally sound.
The short answer is yes. Its all over the place in religions current and ancient from around the world.
The story on languages is good n should be taught more. It's more proof.
Can that be the proof of the pharaohs and the ancient cultures with impressive architectural and structures that we cannot explain to modern science and modern constructions, laser procedures, cuts, and core drills and structures that we cannot describe how they carry tons of granite and laser precision cuts can they be Elohim?
Frank is great, but I believe he's wrong on this one... at least in part. I'm open to the concept that the gods of other religons were/are fallen angels; however, I can find no mention of elohim in Genesis in relation to babel. It speaks of God (the Lord/Yahweh), going down to see the peoples' work and then He Himself confuses the language.
According to your favourite book, he should've seen it coming.
And Sauron took over from Melkior as the dark Lord of Middle Earth. And verily did the Valar send 5 wizards to aid the people of middle earth. The gospel, according to JRR Tolkien .
The answer is yes
The Elohim (El (God) that is plural) is a reference to the Trinity. Go back and study with that in mind. Prepare to be mind blown!❤ God blesd
So… that sounds like a “yes.”
Mythology mix with truths...
Exactly... Apparently it's from a book by Heiser... Totally off on this one.... Way way off
How is there able to have war in heaven in the Bible it says when you're in heaven there will be no jealousy or no envy or no hate so why were the Angels able to rebellion in heaven
I always see the old testament after the tower of babel as the story of yaweh destroying all the gods to take back his nation.
Mental gymnastics to elevate the status beyond what it is: man made fiction from the Iron-age.
What he just said sounds like Mormonism, Not Christianity.
That’s not Elohim means. He did not create angels to be gods but to guard them, not to be worshipped. Although Elohim means gods and could refer to non existent pagan gods or others depending on context but He did not create Elohim to be worship. God said: “I will not share my glory with any other”. Sorry disagree with you, Frank.
Turek-son still has not recovered from the time Hitchens brutalized him in some southern venue yearss ago. Google that , it is really worth watching.
And yes, 1000 angels fit on a pinhead...
Hmm, this sounds like a Mike Heiser interpretation. Some of his interpretations can not be supported by scripture at all. God Himself has said there is no other God.
Agreed 👍🏾

Frank affirms there is no other God, the distinction is also made in the subtitles when he stated this. I hope I’m not misunderstanding you. God bless

KJV *_Psalm 82:6-7_* "I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men & fall like one of the princes."
Also used in *_John 10:34_* by Jesus in confrontation @ Festival of Dedication. Jesus' point was that the Jews applied the same term to others besides God, and that He should not be charged with blasphemy for using the title "Son of God".

Just one word: nope!
Come on. You're asking me to believe an omniscient, omnipotent, all powerful all knowing perfect divine being has to create other lesser beings to help him do his work? Does that make sense? This implies that God was not in a state of perfection. Perfection means everything's perfect. If everything's perfect, you don't need help.
That's a long way too say "yes"
Why people cant answer the question then go on a rant???!
Maybe Elohim and Nephilim is being confused here... or something...
An all knowing God creates a sinless heaven where a war breaks out. Knows that he will kick out a 1/3 of the placeholders. Knows they will rule earth. Gotcha
He gave all freewill but some choose to rebel and some don't. All are free to choose
Frank has been reading up Heiser 😅
I nvr new Yahweh was around tht time when the tower of babel was going on
Right, the fallen where evil and upset that they lost God himself and heaven, so they did what they did on earth because they didn’t want man to have what they lost !!!!
He was afraid of there power not that the people turned against him so in a spiteful rage he tore down the tower and separated man and language because he did not want them in heaven he was afraid
what the heck? no. what is frank talking about? is this from the book of enoch or what?
Go read Michael Heiser’s books, or search for his videos
He explained it in detail.

I think the answer is yes at some level. Consider what Paul teaches as “teachings of demons”
Where in the Bible is this story other than man building a tower and God dispersing them? Elohim is the triun name for God, not other gods.
