When he is shouting I don’t want it when he is killing Martinez it’s another side of him that doesn’t want the power and responsibility of leadership but he can’t stop himself from taking it.
Side note, i dont think i ever circled back on daryl and meryl's original intent... they were gonna rob the group and bolt. Daryl was gonna die around the time the walkers invaded the mt camp (when Andrea's sister amy, and carol's husband ed, and others died - jim dug the graves/got bit)... but the fans liked him so much, they kept him and tweeked his storyline.
This is my interpretation of Philip after this episode I don’t think he is using this new group at all I just think he will do monstrous things to keep his new significant other and daughter alive He kills Martinez for 2 reasons First of all Martinez flat out told Philip that he didn’t know if he could protect the group which is a mistake lol And secondly Martinez is a part of his past thus why he is screaming I don’t want it as he is killing him He doesn’t want that part of his past constantly around him Also he kills Pete because Pete can’t make the hard choices Philip can So in Philip’s mind the only way for his new family to live on is if he kills Martinez and Pete and then takes over That’s what makes him The Governor I don’t think he is trying to play anyone I just think it naturally goes that way because he genuinely believes this is the best possible way that his new family will survive And that’s why he has become the monster that he is.
I interpretted it differently in that I thought Philip never really wanted to lead but, because he's a control freak, he had to because no one else would do things his way!... to his satisfaction! When Martinez offered to share the crown I thought he was referencing that and AGAIN, his hand was forced to take ownership. Philip was sizing Martinez up right from the start of the episode and trying to give him every chance - but Martinez failed shrugging off his responsibilities and failing his FINAL test. Each which way or another - it was a bloody brilliant episode and a show needs massive confidence in its story to step away from the main protagonists for near-on two whole episodes! Great stuff!
The Governor didn't want to be leader that is why he killed Martinez, when he realized the place wasn't safe and the leader wasn't able to lead then he wanted to leave the camp.... when they couldn't leave he decided that he had to take over to keep everyone safe. He did change and he really wants to change... but he did what he thought he had to do to protect Lily and her daughter.
That's simply not true. He did it under the guise of protecting them, but it was about his ego. There's a scene in the episode where Lily is talking to Morales and says "This is the first time I've actually felt safe" in front of the Governer. The governer is obviously upset about this, as it implies he didn't make Lily feel safe. He wants to feel like he's the one that's in control. It's even more evident in the midseason that he's doing it for power/revenge, but I can't say more because it would be spoilers.
you guys missed pete said he was stationed out in fort benning if u remember thats where shane wanted to go instead of the cdc and pete said it was over ran by the time they woulda got there if the group decided to listen to shane, pretty cool i think!
Great episode and Michonne was the one who left those messages for The Governor :D. She's been looking for him and left messages for him in the woods. It was almost so obviously but barely any reactors really caught onto that thanks to how The Governor reacted to those messages and he knew, someone from Rick's group planted those messages and most likely he knew Michonne did because of the chopped off heads.
i doubt they read the comments for this reason, most smaller react channels dont read comments and bigger ones usually have someone that has already seen the show comb through the comments, and tell the reactors whats being said to avoid spoilers@@savagethelizard7409
@@savagethelizard7409 Meh. Their videos are pre recorded, meaning they definitely would have have watched the next episode and a few more by the time they read this.
Walkers being able to not breath, and still survive makes zero sense, as muscles need blood and oxygen to move in the first place. And the brain definitely needs oxygen to survive too.
The part with the lake is like when he had the heads with the fish tanks so he can remind himself of what he fears and can't prevent.
I heard that’s how Governor indirectly caused the sickness at the prison.
@aaronmontane6479 interesting i have never heard about this theory, but if he did, then he was more twisted than he was made out to be.
Love how the governor keeps aiming with his blind eye... 😅
Bro has sixth sense

So the writers knew the fans loved Daryl even before the show aired 😂
and now he has his own TWD show, i guess it paid off lmao
With such anticipation of the opening theme - no one thought to mention there was a feckin' tank, right there!
Rip Martinez and Shumpter
Shumpert* lol

Governor's so damn smart. He anchored a Biter in the water setting it almost like another trap. Damn wish this show had more characters like Governor.
No link to post discussion btw

LETS GO
21:37. "I feel like that tank can solo the prison."
Daryl: "Hold my grenade."
Why would you say this
@@savagethelizard7409 It's not really a real spoiler. I didn't blatantly give any info away. Plus, it's a funny joke.

Congratulations you figured out the concept of zombies is fiction lol
Imagine zombies working differently from regular human beings...
