25 years. 25 years of victories and losses, friends made and parted along the way, good and bad alike, not one moment was left forgotten. It all led up to this and it was worth it.

The animation in this episode along with the nostalgia and cameos of past companions and Pokémon makes it honestly worth sitting through the 4 recap episodes and extra week breaks we had to go through in this arc. And now we got one more break before going through the final 3 episodes of the series. I can’t wait to see the ranking of this episode plus also hoping for what’s next in the direction of the anime. (I still hope for an anime adaptation of Pokémon adventures) Much props to the animation and writing team in Japan, despite the poor conditions they find themselves in with being understaffed and overworked, they gave us such quality work and deserves much praise. (I’m also looking forward to this year’s Macy’s Parade with Pikachu now)
I waited…four weeks…to watch the entirety of the match in one go and man…what a ride. I just finished watching everything and…I’m still…in shock. I’m still…crying. I can’t express in words how happy I am right now. It’s almost surreal. It almost feels like this is a dream. But it’s not. It finally happened. Ash…has become the number one Pokémon trainer in the world. And everyone one was with him. From Misty and Brock, all the way to the Alola Gang. EVERYONE. Even Goh. But…what brought it all home, what made the tears fall, were his Pokémon. Every *single* Pokémon was there. *EVERY SINGLE ONE*. I-When I saw them…dude… Everyone, no matter how long or short their stay was, EVERYONE, helped Ash. EVERY SINGLE POKÉMON HE MET IN HIS JOURNEY LED HIM TO THIS MOMENT. *THEY* WERE THE ONES WHO MADE EVERYTHING POSSIBLE. THEY *WERE* THERE WITH PIKACHU IN THE FINAL BATTLE BECAUSE THEY *ALL* SHARED THE SAME DREAM! And that…(claps) I can’t express enough how happy I am right now. I’m…just really really happy…TvT
This put me in TEARS. My whole life flashed before me in that seen where Pikachu got help from all of Ash’s other Pokémon. It was beautiful, all of it. And if this is truly the end of Ash, I am forever satisfied, but it would be cool to see him in Paldea!

I’ve watched this video and your reaction a dozen times now, because that is the exact feeling I had. I watched the first episode live, and this gave me all the feels.
Today’s episode was a beautiful masterpiece everything coming together flowing in synchronicity Gen1 through Gen8 of Ash’s travels (companions) and pokemon then now and forever. All the happiest and saddest moments for 25 years to now Ash accomplishing a historical feat some of us believed in him rest of us doubting him sometimes. Proud to be part of history today.
My favorite part was when all of Ash’s Pokémon were cheering on Pikachu. Not just the Journeys team and not just the ones in Professor Oak’s lab. All of them. Every Pokémon that had accompanied Ash. Butterfree, Pidgeot, Primape, Lapras, Squirtle, Larvitar, Ambipom, Goodra, Greninja, Naganadel, and even Solgaleo. Everyone is cheering for Pikachu. We don’t see Raticate or Beedrill which I think makes sense.
After 25 years, Ash finally became the worlds strongest Pokémon trainer. Even the previous series failed to make that happen before SM came, Im glad to see Ash big Journey from start to today.
If Ash's journey continues on to Paldea, I'm guessing they might give him more of a mentor's role (similar to how he kind of mentored Sawyer in X+Y); perhaps the schools will invite him up to teach their students or something. If not, they'd better raise the stakes for the next series.
@@premsaik828 In all honesty, I can't see them doing that 😅 Ash is too iconic at this point; for them to age him in the series after his big win would be too sudden. I think they would sooner let Ash explore the realm of being a world champ, let him get comfortable in it. On top of all that, Ash and Pikachu are the face of the anime; a time skip for Scarlet and Violet would mean they would have to phase out Ash a lot sooner; who knows how fans of the anime who have grown up with Ash would react. It would be a big risk on a part of the writers.
@@premsaik828 Why should he be married to Serena? Lillie? Dawn? Misty? There are tons of better options. I can't stand people thinking that Ash *has* to marry Serena, when Ash didn't even show any affection towards her. Plus, in this episode, Serena is rumoured to have feelings for May, so that's that.
Butterfree and Pidgeot showing up broke me down. I think seeing this is the top of my top 3 crying moments. Second is when Ash left charizard at that charizard valley for the first time and then butterfree being set free

@@kriscross9630 xD
@@Anti.Vegans You can watch it on 9anime! That's where I binge the series that I want to watch lol
I freaking cried bro. The animation, the nostalgia, the team shots. Man I couldn't contain myself
Ash finally became the very best like no one ever was! Let's Go! After 25 years
Teared up when I saw Butterfree 😭 I was transported back to childhood, watching that episode when Ash released Butterfree. Time flies! I'm so happy for Ash. What a journey of 25 yrs. Pokemon will always be a part of me.
Bye, bye, Butterfree... such a timeless episode.
I literally cried when I saw everyone. It was the best scene ever.
Our Ashy boy did it!!!! He's now the strongest trainer in the world!!! What a long way Ash has come 😭🔥🏆
Way2go Ashy Boy!!!
YESSIR
This honestly was I think the best episode I’ve ever seen the animation, battle, cameo’s AND all of the memories ash had with his old pokemon 👏🤩🎉
So much to say about this
1. Big Chungus Pikachu is finally back
2. 2nd time Ash won a league
3. When you beat the final boss for the first time
4. *Becomes canny phase 10*
Pikachu’s one shot on Cinderace was not only Karma to Leon one shotting literally everyone earlier in the tourney but paved way to more screen time of the BEST FIGHT IN POKÉMON HISTORY. Acceptable one shot lmao.
Haha you screamed at the exact bits I did, and had your arms in the air at the end like me - truly the best moment in the anime history, i've watched it like 15 times man it's SOOOO fire
Ash said it in one episode, DEFEATING LEON IS HIS 1ST STEP OF BECOMING A POKEMON MASTER"
so it means his journey doesn't end by winning the Monarch title ❤️
this was a collective experience for old and new fans alike. we were all screaming, cheering, and crying tears of joy for ash. this was the culmination of ash’s 25 year adventure; our childhood. he was a friend to lots of kids growing up so to see him get closer to achieving his goal to be a pokemon master is a win for all us.
It may not be the exact episode of what we wanted to be perfect but it was what we needed that satisfied everyone.
The boy who most of us watched on screens for 25 years has finally achieved his goal with his best friend by his side, what a truly powerful and really emotional episode/battle. 🤩
From the battling, to the flashbacks, to cameos of OG Pokémon to current Pokémon , cameos of OG friends and current friends. What a wonderful tribute to Ash and Pikachu 😭 ❤️
25 years. 25 years of victories and losses, friends made and parted along the way, good and bad alike, not one moment was left forgotten. It all led up to this and it was worth it.
I cried the second Pikachu saw all of his friends throughout the series. Amazing episode 👏 Congrats Ash!!!!
Ash becoming the World Champion. Now that was an epic truly epic Alola moment.
They even included Primeape and the Larvitar he had for like 5 episodes. EVERYONE is here.
Everyone except that poor Beedrill he gave to Casey 😂
@@Moon-nk3co yup 😭
@@Moon-nk3co doesn't count
Haunter: "Guess I don't count then even tho Larvitar counts, oh well." 😅
@@eljordinio7647
If Larvitar and Solgaleo counts, then the Beedrill does too.
I am sure that I am not the only person who teared up and ash and pikachu have come a long way and it was heartwarming to see the whole squad and all the companions too
That scene with all of ash's Pokemon broke me down to emotions I've always experienced as a kid from 90s. I was crying the whole time. What a finish 😭😭😭
Best part is when ash flips his hat and leon throws his off and says “its champion time”
Thats when you really know Leon sees Ash as a true contender 🥹🥹
Man the fact that ash won is crazy. Over 20 years and I feel now that what else is their for him to do. He is a Pokémon master, how will they continue? So happy to see this finally happen.
He could dismantle Team Rocket
He isn’t a Pokémon Master yet. He already said defeating Leon is just another step towards it
@@emanuelperez3442 lol as if the anime wanted to lose their number one villain.
@@sipalingindonesia they got rid of Ash losing important battles so maybe it's also time for a new villain
@@emanuelperez3442 erasing team rocket means erasing the rocket trio,as well. since they already decided to work in it until their end. so no,it's not comparable.
Zac was the only one asking the right question: "What is there left to do?"
After all these years, all those losses, all that training and bonding, Ash has earned it.
Pokémon taught me
- never give up on your dream
- don’t worry about haters they are you biggest fans(team rocket)
Words aren’t enough to describe my feelings about this episode and how f^^^ing insane it was. This episode easily deserves a 10/10 rating.
That wasn’t even plot armor pikachu just built like that
Straight up emotional. My 7 year old son, who just got into Pokemon last year so he obviously doesn't understand Ash's journey, was screaming at the top of his lungs during the battle. I was emotional af and teared up when ash's prior team was helping Pikachu. Ah. What a BATTLE! Congrats to the new Pokemon World Champ, Ash Ketchum!
summary of his reaction: OHH MY GOODNESSS OHH MY GOODDD
Congratulations Ash Ketchum! We are so proud of you! 🏆
Bro Pikachu went super Saiyan at the end of the fight
Seeing all of Ash's old friends and Pokemon return was the best thing ever.
A moment of silence for all those Pokemon fans who aren't among us to witness this historic moment.
Here I am hugging my original stuffed Charmander doll from the 90's as well as my Pikachu doll and Gengar dolls I got and I'm crying right now. I'm 29 years old and this made me so happy! Oh Ash.... you never ever gave up, even when it got hard, and even through all your defeats. You and Pikachu never ever gave up. Maybe it was destiny that caused you to sleep in late that day you were supposed to set out on your pokemon journey. Because if you woke up on time you would have never met Pikachu. What an incredible journey!!! I WANNA BE THE VERY BEST, THAT NO ONE EVER WAS!!!!! PIIIIIKAAAAAACHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone feels like Zac should be like the commentor/announcer at those live Pokémon battle tournaments? I bet he'd nail it!
"I'M FINALLY AM THE VERY BEST,
LIKE NO ONE EVER WAS."
🎶🎤🎸🎹🥁🎶
the 10 years old immortal boy finally did it.
(I still hope for an anime adaptation of Pokémon adventures)
Much props to the animation and writing team in Japan, despite the poor conditions they find themselves in with being understaffed and overworked, they gave us such quality work and deserves much praise. (I’m also looking forward to this year’s Macy’s Parade with Pikachu now)
Brings smiles to me that you made it on the trending page!
Never thought I'd see the day where Zach cheers to see max on screen
This is some Gurren Lagann levels of Animation!
And that…(claps)
I can’t express enough how happy I am right now. I’m…just really really happy…TvT
Our childhood 🥲🏆❤️
This put me in TEARS. My whole life flashed before me in that seen where Pikachu got help from all of Ash’s other Pokémon. It was beautiful, all of it. And if this is truly the end of Ash, I am forever satisfied, but it would be cool to see him in Paldea!
that friendship stat really came in clutch at the end.
Man, I was screaming and excited but lost it when Bulbasaur, Squirtle and the orginal gang appeared...dammmm I started to cry so badly, what an epic episode and ending (it seems to be) for Ash.
"HE JUMPED ON THE ROCK" only in Pokemon will someone be excited for a mouse to jump on a rock
The fact this episode had me I tears and they never gave up and this trophy is the work that they put in there training every day I'm gonna be a pokemon fan my whole life😭😭👌👌💯
I’ve watched this video and your reaction a dozen times now, because that is the exact feeling I had.
Yo, the animation man the team was like "Sorry for the recaps and stuff we're giving you fans our A-game for this episode."
NGL as soon as Eternatus came up I KNEW it meant Gigantimax Pikachu
After 25 years, Ash finally became the worlds strongest Pokémon trainer. Even the previous series failed to make that happen before SM came, Im glad to see Ash big Journey from start to today.
i'm telling you my g!!!!! this episode was so effin emotional!!! i've watched it like 5 times already!!!! pikachu just gassed me up
Getting all those recaps was worth it just to watch the quality of this animation!
I swear to god, they put all their god damn budget on this series to this one episode and they didn’t hold back on it
If Ash's journey continues on to Paldea, I'm guessing they might give him more of a mentor's role (similar to how he kind of mentored Sawyer in X+Y); perhaps the schools will invite him up to teach their students or something. If not, they'd better raise the stakes for the next series.
He better get some maturity by that time
@@premsaik828 In all honesty, I can't see them doing that 😅 Ash is too iconic at this point; for them to age him in the series after his big win would be too sudden.
I'm hoping he'll be at least 11 by the next series
Paldea has more than one champion right?
@@premsaik828 Why should he be married to Serena? Lillie? Dawn? Misty? There are tons of better options. I can't stand people thinking that Ash *has* to marry Serena, when Ash didn't even show any affection towards her.
Plus, in this episode, Serena is rumoured to have feelings for May, so that's that.
Butterfree and Pidgeot showing up broke me down. I think seeing this is the top of my top 3 crying moments. Second is when Ash left charizard at that charizard valley for the first time and then butterfree being set free
This was the best battle in history of the anime. This battle was so intensed and had me on the edge of my seat through the whole battle. I'm still thinking about this battle. Haha
6:18
Ash doesn't want to be the strongest pokemon trainer, he wants to be a pokemon MASTER. Becoming the strongest trainer is just one step. There's still a whole world left to be explored. New pokemon, new people to meet
I just cannot stop smiling after watching this fight for the 15th time.
Bro, even Butterfree, Pidgeot, and Goodra were cheering for him. I can't wait for the dub to come out.
Bro as soon as Butterfree descended I started swelling up because I knew we were about to see with everyone cheering Pikachu on… this is peak Journeys!
Be honest……………everyone felt super emotional watching this episode
watching Zac react to Ash's pokemon cheering on Pikachu made me cry, I dont know why but its so hype I had to..I watched it live but since I had to keep quiet I couldnt let the emotions out 😭
5:06 Pikachu's Thunder Armor like how he was back in his Hoenn days?
Not gonna lie the scene when Pikachu is with all the pokemon Ash caught and the first lines when Ash met Pikachu for thr 1st time made me cry, really I feel the goosebumps and jump after Ash won! But the tears really still there of happiness also because pokemon was my 1st anime I watched and this really worth and happy that I live it for this moment!! ✨
The time when ash's original Kanto team with BUTTERFREE!! came in I cried fr bro...
And pidgeot
Same
i've watched this fight so many times i was so hyped and emotional watching it, our boy did it!! W
Lookout his face at last seconds bro and that's the reaction of all Pokemon fans out there 🥺🥺😭
Irrespective of if it is the end of Ash's journey or not, he gave us some good memories to cherish. Thank you Ash and congrats.
EVOLUTION OF ASH KETCHUM IS SPOT-ON, MAN.
