That Adelheid bit was glorious. X'D I wasn't aware that people wanted you to talk about him so bad. If you HAD to make a video on him, I'd include Rose too since both have so little to talk about. ^^; My only interest in him lies in his exclusion from KOF XIII. Adelheid _is_ the "secondary protagonist" of the Tales of Ash Saga, after all.
Kula is my favorite mid boss because the way she is introduced the stage but freezing the entire area to show how powerful she is and her theme is GOOD!
I gained my love for O. Leona and Iori from the mobile game KOF 98 UM OL. Just the way they lose their minds once the ROTB activates from Orochi’s presence was intimidating yet lovely. The backstories behind the forms is saddening though.
I like Kusanagi. His anger makes him a fun character to play. You can hear his burning passion to fight, whether it be to destroy or for fun. Also, he is voiced by Mitsuo Iwata, the same person that voices Sean from Street Fighter III: Third Strike. I want him back.
I appreciate that you've given Silber some love. Honestly, I missed this guy. He was so different from the rest of the characters in XI, no fireballs, exaggerated combos, no teleportation--this dude was all hands and feet. This guy is all about conventional strikes, and all he wants is to end you with as few hits as possible. This is in reference to Bruce Lee's old adage of fearing the man who's practiced the same kick 10000 times. Unlike other Karate practitioners in King of Fighters, Silber set himself apart with his less-flashy but equally effective fighting style. I used to love landing his counter super when playing with my friends. I would honestly love to see this guy return again as a playable character.
Angel in 2002 has very poor AI though :/ If you back her to a corner she does absolutely nothing but block. Her attacks are easy to counter when AI is controling her. Did i mention point requirement for her is less then 250k points. Less then 300k to 250k mid boss is K9999 300k points and above you fight Kula

I have faced both Orochi Iori and Leona in the arcade back in my college years (2001). Those were the days of struggle, and with luck I'm able to defeat them. The Orochi saga is one of the best parts of the KOF series. Nameless is interesting tho yes K9999 is sadly a rip off of Tetsuo from Akira that added to his infamy. His attitude as well. Great video again!
@@ShoryuGame I was rewatching your amazing videos and have this to say. 1. I will never forgive 2002 UM for not only ditching both K9999 and Orochi Iori, but for creating Nameless in game with no real story mode (something not even Samurai Showdown did), and I can say that with confidence now thanks to K9999’s return as Krohnen. And 2 you’re going to regret saying “anyone can win Kula’s heart with ice cream 🍨” as that is the leaked reason why Kula is teaming up with Angel and Krohnen.
I really think SNK has the best grasp of bringing out characters personality through their fighting style, and even characters who use the same style come off with very different strengths and weakness based on how they personally use their style. A good example is Goneitz and Iori using similar techniques because Orochi gifted Iori's techniques to his ancestors. Like functionally similar, but Iori using flames and not enjoying fighting means he uses them to end fights quickly. Goenitz uses wind, and wanting to show off the power of his God makes him come off like he's toying with your team to show off when he could probably kill his opponents much faster if he used them like Iori does. Small details like that is why SNK is one of the best fighting game developers ever imo.
Last year I finally came around to finding this gem of a series, and wanted to know more about the game. Thank you for explaining this game so I can enjoy a fighting series with an actual enriching story.
I WILL NOT SHUT UP ABOUT ADELHEID! NOT UNTIL I SEE HIM IN XV! Ahem... I definitely agree with Wild Iori/Leona being #1, but more so Iori because of his unique vicious super where drags you to the ground and rips you apart being one of the most memorable supers in the series. Plenty of midbosses to like, especially in KoF XI. My favorite though would have to be Angel in 2002 UM simply because of her theme song...
Actually Silver is more "similar" to Raizo (from rival schools) than akuma. Just put on a suit on Silver and draw him a mustache and that's it, they're the same person.
Love the Adelheid part. Awesome video as always. O. Iori and O. Leona are my favourite since I played KOF 97 a lot when I was in middle school. By the way, is it possible for you to make a "Top 10 KOF XIV characters" video in the future?
