This is important. A lot of preppers online, live in areas that don’t have the harsh winters we have up here (Northern Minnesota). We end up needing a lot bigger bug out bags or storage space. Cold weather gear takes up a lot of room.
Personally i also take along a can of sterno fuel, a road flare, 2 bic lighters, a few reptile tank heating pads(think giant hot hands but lasts for 3 days at 99°), WOOL garments- everything i reasonably can, and a metal bottle with some bullion cubes or instant coffee packets and a water bottle inside. . It gets -50 occasionally where i live.
