Love this video! I'd like to see more on individual succs and how to care for them. I do enjoy your garden makeovers but I'd like to learn more about individual plant care, watering, light, overwintering, etc. Yah!!
Hi Laura! Glad to see another video. And tomorrow is, wait for it, (drum roll) walk through Wednesdays!!! Wooohooo! That's a great plant right there. I had one, but it didn't like me I guess, and is now a part of the heavenly community. Lol. Oh well, I tried. Thank you for the wonderful tip on fertilizing. From the garden city of India to you and team DFS, stay safe and blest always. Cheers and God bless!
I m going to dream of this wonder thanks to you🤗 I feel your love for plants and nature so much, what a pleasure to watch and listen to ur videos🍀🌿🌱🌼🌺🏵🙏💚. Kisses from France 💚💚💚
Missed you laura, your videos truly make me happy and love seeing the beatiful plants ... i took your advice and have started planting in the garden and learning what works and doesnt and i was so scared to take a risk and leave them to the mercy of mother nature but now i couldnt be more glad that i did , thankyou for everything!!!!
One of my favorites! I found one hiding under some lantana in my yard and decided to transplant it. It was so floppy from lack of sun that the leaves dropped off when I moved it. Then the heat of the summer hit and I burned it a little. I let the leaves lie where they dropped. Now they have gorgeous pink roots and I am expecting a whole crop of pups! I have another in full sun. It’s stunning...survived better than all the echeverias in that area with the exception of the Saharas and agavoides. Thanks for the fertilizer tips!!
Wake Up Yes so true I live in Washington and I have to order most of mine online. However this past year I found tons at Trader Joe’s, hugeeee ones. Amazing 6in succulents for 4$ at my local Trader Joe’s
Oooo - I really enjoyed this video. I love learning the facts and specs about different succulents. I am often researching about them. Now I realise I also love hearing your opinion on the different succulents too. Please can you do more of these videos? Perhaps a video per plant - show casing its pro’s and cons, how to care for it, best position to keep it in and how you use it in your designs and whether it’s a fav of yours or not?
Yes, opalina is a lovely plant. Mine has stretched while not losing any leaves. Not sure why, even tho' it's outside in full sun/bright light depending on time of day. Laura, I saw your recent sunburst aeonium videos which were good, but did you ever do aeonium kiwi in a video? They are so lackluster in the summer but for me are as bright as flowers in the winter. I see even now the centers are starting to turn light green. Thanks for all you do.
Hello Laura Can’t believe I’m first It’s 2.20am Wednesday morning here in Melbourne Australia, still awake Lovely surprise when I saw your video pop up on my iPad 🥰❤️🌹🥰
I’ve only got one Opalina . It’s beauty stands out amongst other attractive succulents. Since it is planted beneath a sizable Pachypodium geayi and adjacent to other summer growing plants it gets the same summer water and fertilizer regime as them, which means a good dousing every two weeks. It does have excellent drainage , so that may have helped avert rot, etc. , which could have developed under such treatment. It gets morning and some midday shade and then bakes in full afternoon sun for a few hours. It shows no signs of stress and has only increased its plump sassiness.
I still love your videos,,,,Ineed pro advice,, I want to add agave into my dry garden,, what kind of agave that suit for tropical country???? ,,because dry season can last 4 to 5 month
I just bought one at our local Dinosaur Discovery center! Thank You for the information ❤ Do you know the parents? I think I have one . My two favorite succulents ❤
@@LauraEubanks What do you suggest if no blower? Is it OK to just ignore and water? Will that poison the plants? I'm not in fire zone in CA, just a lot of smokey air and ash.
Your opalina succulent is so huge and beautiful

Thank you.🤗

Love the size of that one. Hard to find big variety up here in Pacific northwest, so jelly of all you have in Southern Cali...

Laura, what to do about the wildfire ash here in California on succulents?
We mask up and use a blower.
@@LauraEubanks What do you suggest if no blower? Is it OK to just ignore and water? Will that poison the plants? I'm not in fire zone in CA, just a lot of smokey air and ash.
